Description of Work: Develop a plan for decorating and furnishing our home, from roof tiles to vases! After the 4 hours we spent with Sue, we had a "book" containing inspiration fabric swatches, paint colors, drawings, and descriptions of room layouts, furnishings, lighting, window treatments, wall hangings and accessories for each area of our home; also recommendations on where to purchase items.

Description of Work: Sue did a four hour design consultation at my house. I wanted a complete re-do of my dining room and needed color consultation for my kitchen walls.

Description of Work: Sue spent four hours at my home going through each room recommending color schemes, fabrics, furniture placement and art/picture placement. In addition, Sue also left me with a folder of paint colors and fabric samples for each room to use as a reference for when I shop. She also accompanied me to select hardwood flooring to replace the wall to wall carpeting. I have since painted the bedroom and bath in the colors she suggested and am thrilled with the results. She works with what you have and offers innovated suggestions as to their use in a creative way.

Description of Work: Sue was extremely helpful with paint color and tile selection as well as overall furniture and art arrangement including finishing items as part of our "New Look" in bedroom, kitchen, dining, family and living room. Very good grasp of what we wanted to accomplish.

Description of Work: Working in my home, Sue created a plan for redecorating every room. Plan included color and fabric samples, notes about pertinent sources for purchasing specific products I asked about, and example illustrations (lighting fixture styles, centerpiece ideas, etc.).

Description of Work: Sue came in and did a 4 hr makeover on my house. She moved my existing furniture around to optimize them and their use. She gave me a design and inspiration fabrics so I could purchse any extra pieces on my own. I've had her back several times to focus on one area of the house or to give design suggestions. People walk into my home and know I had a designer. They just don't know how little I spent!

Description of Work: Sue worked with me on a kitchen remodel job that also included living room/dining room updating. She worked with me on selecting cabinets, hardware, paint colors, flooring, lighting, countertops, backsplash, furniture and accessories. She is very budget conscious and really provided a very personalized service. She even came out the day my cabinets were installed to tell the installers where to put the pulls and handles. She was very hands on. We even spent a couple of days shopping for furniture, accessories and artwork. She understood my personal style and kept within my budget. I have shown my new kitchen to many people and everyone is very impressed. She took my 1980's kitchen and made it current. Many friends have requested her information so that they can contact her on their projects. I highly recommend this designer to anyone and for any type of project.

Description of Work: Sue has been wonderful to work with. I actually found her through a "Steal & Deals" column in the StarTribune this past Fall, where I learned she is a design professional with a long successful track record. Sue was running a special for $250 where she would come to your house and provide color consultation for any and all rooms, furniture placement, trouble shooting with design problems., fabric and furniture suggestions, lighting, etc. If that weren't enough, then she leaves you with your own personalized booklet with paint swatches, lots of notes, and quick sketches to support descriptions. She spent four intensive hours at my place and I was extremely happy with the recommendations and information she left with me. The paint recommendations alone made it worth the money spent. Sue is very cognizant of your budget and works around your needs. She's very approachable, listens to your needs, and quickly moves on if you change your mind or just don't like something. I have since ordered wooden blinds through her and am currently working with her (Spring 2011) on ordering a dining room set and will work with her on future projects - no more wasteful decorating mistakes for me! I have also recommended Sue to a few friends, and they are similarly pleased. It's great to finally find a designer who can help me spiff up my home!
