Ace Handyman Services works with families and business owners who need professional help to get things fixed or improved around their home or business and don’t have the time or skills to get them done. We do over ‘1,162” different jobs and can generally be on site within 2 days or less. We bill by the hour and set appointment times based on your schedule. All our experienced, expert craftsmen are direct employees, licensed, bonded, insured and background checked. Customers can supply their own materials or have us shop for them.. I started this process in August. I am happy to say today my 2 projects were successfully completed, and they look great. Supposedly today was to be rainy all day, so there was an attempt to reschedule, but luckily the weather did not prevent Jason from completing the job. Colder weather would have complicated things, but this is no longer an issue. I definitely will call again when we have another project.

Mark did an outstanding job and completed a lot of small jobs I had. I would definitely hire him again! He came on time and was so professional at any project he had to do. I'm glad he fixed the curtain rod that fell down in the living room so we could have privacy again and changed out hinges and door knobs on our interior doors. Thank you very much!

Description of Work: Cleaned up some water damage below two windows. Was punctual although we nearly missed each other as he tried knocking on our side door instead of the front. Did a wonderful job and it took less time then we had planned. Will be using them for future jobs for sure!

Description of Work: Installation of a high quality cedar privacy fence on the north side of rear section of property; custom built a front entrance 'portico'. The crew was fantastic and the 'finished product' is exactly what I wanted. The portico looked like it was original to the 1920's structure. I so highly recommend Handyman Matters... they are absolute PROS!

[Customer Name], I did you leave you a message after i picked got your phone message from my answering service that we did mess this up. I thought I had explained what happened well enough for you to understand but apparently not so you still felt you had to respond this way. Yes our person did not call you to explain he was stuck on a early AM emergency job so that is entirely our fault. It is no excuse but he was so pre-occupied with what he was doing he failed to make that call.

Description of Work: Had them in to seal up some doors after center point energy audit. Sealed doors very well, resulting in warmer rooms. Also fixed door latch on front door that wouldn't stay closed if not locked. Very nice and very timely.

Awful, will never hire again.
Description of Work: Worst company ever. Provided wrong estimates. Wore shoes without covering when doing the work. Reckless, knocked 3 tiles off existing backsplash and they landed behind the stove. Did not even remove them and when asked the response was they are around somewhere.When I called the company the manager started blaming us, it does not matter that they did not come prepared with scope of work, that service charge was already charged before. Went to home depot to buy grout and tried to charge us for the time.

Response from Ace Handyman Services Twin Cities
All of this work was on tile or cement floors on a dry day. We were back and forth from the garage and their tiled kitchen and tiled laundry room constantly for 3 hours cutting and trimming the cabinets. There was no dirt in the area and we made sure we cleaned up after ourselves before we left. We were told we were to re-install a microwave and 2 cabinets when we first made this appointment. When we called the customer the night before we were also told we were to install some additional tile in the area where the microwave used to be. When we arrived the customer had 20 of the 35 additional tiles they needed, no grout and no adhesives to attach the tiles. To install the microwave we had to remove a row of tile so the microwave would fit properly. We did drop 3 of these pieces of tiles behind the range but planned to recover them before we left. We had to go to the local Home Depot to get the right grout and tiling materials. When the craftsman returned they refused to pay for our time and started to argue about how slow we were, how much time this was taking and became very argumentative about having to pay for our time to shop. We ALWAYS explain this to customers in those instances where they don’t want to shop or cannot. In this instance we would have been waiting around for them to do the shopping so it was faster for us to go and make sure we got the right materials. At that point we cleaned up the area and gave them the bill for the time we had spent to complete the other work. They gave our craftsman the $320 for the work we did but then posted this complaint. When I called them to talk about finishing the tile job and trying to resolve this, all they wanted to talk about was being overcharged for my time. I sent them back their check for $320.00 in full .
