Schneider's Lawn N' Landscape

We used Jake Schneider to build a retaining wall and a complete overhaul on our backyard. A VERY expensive project lasting two summers. They built a nice wall, and steps, cleaned up fine, and landscaped okay. . 1) The communication and lack of professionalism was astounding. 2) He tried to get us to pay city fees that contractors are responsible for, and backed off only when questioned. Fees costing thousands. 3) Throughout a two year process, the communication was horrible, even though on MULTIPLE occasions we asked for a simple text with weekly updates. We asked for a weekly progress update at least 10+ times. We never received one, and he was unable to communicate with me in person. 4) He was misogynistic and only communicated things my husband even though I was home, and treated me as though I wasn’t involved in the project. The lack of respect was insulting. 5) He posted a picture of our home, and address, on Facebook marketplace without our knowledge. He purchased too many rocks, never once communicated this with us, and advertised the rocks on Facebook. We had a young dog sitter staying at the house who was terrified that strange people were driving up and taking rocks from our yard (rocks we paid for and would have used elsewhere in the yard). We had no idea why this was happening. After some calls, this was taken down only at my husbands request and no apology was given. 6) The final invoice was incorrect and he had not kept accurate records of payments. We had to go through our records to show him the error. 7) The work done was fine work but I could never recommend Schneiders Landscaping to anyone based upon the way the company is run. 8) Followup has been non existent. He promised information regarding plant care and ongoing maintenance that we’ve never received. 9) I later learned my neighbor had used them only to have issues over billing and a lack of proper follow through.
