Residential Heating & Air Conditioning

We had a very good experience with Residential. Chris, the salesman was very professional and friendly. He gave us a bid that was a few hundred dollars less than that of another company for the same furnace model. The work itself was done a couple of days later by Bob. Although the work took two days instead of one, it did not inconvenience us because Bob was punctual, neat, professional and quiet. He answered my questions and I think he did a very good job, although it's not cold enough to start running the furnace yet. The office person was very helpful herself, and she called to explain when the electrician was delayed.

I called and needed someone to come out the same day because I was having trouble getting the furnace top start for the first time this fall. They said they did not have an opening the same day but could schedule it for the following day and if something opened up they would call. They called a few hours later and said they could fit me in and the technician showed up about an hour later. It turned out that the thermostat was the problem and so I had him check the furnace to make sure everything was working fine and was ready for winter. He was a great guy and was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone and kudos to George the tech.

Once the service person arrived, my experience was good. I received a bid for a new furnace and had my questions answered thoroughly with no sales pressure. Scheduling, however, was a problem. I was told to expect a service person between 1 and 4 and probably close to 1. He would call, when he was on his way. On the scheduled day, I waited from 1 to 2, then called the office and was told that no one could see me that day. They had just discovered the problem, they were sorry, they would be happy to reschedule at my convenience. Somewhat reluctantly, I rescheduled. On the second afternoon, I called before 1 to confirm. At 4, when no one had arrived, I called the office again. Within ten minutes, the service person called from his truck, to say that he was on his way. He was unaware that I had experienced a previous cancellation and was waiting.

Residential was fantastic! I called them when Minnegasco told me they couldn't fix a problem with my condenser. Lindell Hess stopped over within 15 min., checked everything out, and clearly explained why my old until had never been efficient. Lindell was great;like having my dad there! He explained my options, including just waiting until my existing one died, and suggested the model that would do the job, but wasn't more than I needed. Also explained financing options, which I took. The installer, Dana, was on time, professional, and left the place cleaner than when he arrived. There was a bit of confusion over the rebate from Xcel (I had been told I'd get $200; I got $150), and on my end regarding the Angie's List coupon, which they worked out a deal with me on when it was MY mistake. Great people, great service. And my new A/C is SO efficient and quiet! I'd definitely hire them again!

Residential was the only company that could come out the same day and replaced it in 48 hrs. He was wonderful. The price was reasonable.

Both the office scheduler and technician were extremely friendly and accommodating. The technician answered questions about maintaining our unit in addition to repairing the air conditioner. Most of the expense was for the new motor.

Tech was on time -- called about 30 minutes before he drove to our house. ID'ed the problem almost immediately, and had it fixed in about 20 minutes. He also inspected the rest of our A/C system and cleaned off the outside unit for better operational efficiency. Also, this company accepts Angie's List coupons for $25 off service calls.

I called two days in a row for someone to come and give me an estimate for installation of new heat vents/ducts in basement and I never received a return phone call.

Chris gave us a great bid (after Xcel and Carrier rebates $2800 for the a/c) and then a comparable price on running ducts up to the second story. Eric and Brent were professional, NEAT, and really patient with our kids' interest in their work. It was disappointing that the measurements didn't quite line up and the duct couldn't go right into the wall (the closet wasn't directly under the upstairs wall), but we'll build a bookcase to hide it and they were very communicative about the issue. With all the sawing and cutting they did, they cleaned it all up!!! We will use Residential from now on.

Mr. Pearson was prompt and courteous and professional. However, they were much too expensive.

Lindy came over to do the estimate for a new high-efficiency furnace on a Saturday morning to work with our schedules. He was prompt and knowledgeable. The bid was very reasonable and he offered us great financing. The installer was also prompt and courteous. The furnace works fabulously and is SO much quieter than our old one. After the install they sent us, without any prompting, an applicable rebate form with all the necessary info attached and the phone number of the inspector we needed to call (the install checked out perfectly). We had used Residential for our furnace checks before this and we were thrilled with them for service calls as well. A great, honest company to hire.

We had an excellent experience with the salesman, John, as well as with our technicians, Brent and Eric. We got 4 bids and Residential was the most affordable bid for the best equipment. John explained our options in detail and made specific recommendations for the systems he thought would work best for us; his recommendations were in line with other outside research I had done. Brent and Eric were timely and neat. They discovered a flooding problem in our basement where the old furnace had been and made sure to set up the new furnace so it would not encounter the same issue. Brent and Eric were not able to finish in one day, as we had expected them to, but we were able to schedule the second day at our convenience.

We arranged to have someone come at 11 am on a Saturday, and he was prompt. I usually wouldn't write a report for an estimate, but the representative for Residential Heating, Lindell Hess, was a great guy and helped us out with some pointers. I felt his service warranted some good comments! He quoted us at around $2000 for the job, a price which would have been heavy on labor. He pointed out what if we were handy and willing, this was a job that we could do on our own if we wanted, so that we could keep our remodel costs down. I'm always happy with good service, and I'm glad to report that Residential Heating, Lindell Hess in particular, get an A+.

Overall my husband and I were pleased with the service provided. The technician seemed very knowledgeable. He was on time and very polite. Our main concern was our air conditioner, which in the past has leaked into the condominium below us. We did not encounter this problem after we turned on our AC. We had scheduled an appointment a couple of weeks in advance; they could have gotten us in sooner, but we had conflicts due to a scheduled vacation. We were disappointed when we received a last minute notification that they would need to reschedule our appointment.

He found that some of my problems had more to do with the a/c than the furnace. He had good suggestions. I'm very well pleased with him.

Everything went Just Fine, The work Was done when they said it would be done and by a very professional team. The price was good too ,I had 4 Quotes and Residential was the most reasonable. their office person Anna was very Nice and helpful, she Followed up with what she said she would do

The representative was very helpful. He answered several questions I had and proceeded to do the appropriate work. I was very pleased with the job he did. He was a little late but he eventually called.. (and it was during the first heat streak of the year)

Removed old split attic unit and installed a new split unit. We called many A/C contractors, but most don't install these types of A/C units. Of the 3 contractors who do, their price was the lowest. They hung the part of the unit in the attic from the roof rafters to the condensation pitch would be correct so we wouldn't have any more problems with condensation leakage like our old unit that was improperly installed. They also installed new venting to our lower level and took great care to place it exactly where we wanted it to minimize vents blocking closet space in the upper level. Overall, good experience, but they did have some delay in getting the project scheduled and in getting back to the city during the final inspection process.

The technician did an annual furnace tune-up and was very thorough and professional. The technician was also prompt and pleasant. I saved $25 with the Angie's List coupon.

Kid came out to check out furnace, not humidistat. Did not have equipment with him to check out humidistat. Said a line was out of fresh air duct and all was well. Not true, as I had checked that out previously. Lied to me. I asked for an estimate on other work and at first he said they couldn't do it, then gave me an estimate of $2000 to $2500 for something that should take two to three hours. I called the company and asked for the person I had originally talked to. Had to leave voice mail. No return call.

This rep was friendly and on time. He provided a lot of information/opinions about furnaces, but some of it disagreed with three other company's' reps, so I was not sure if I trusted it. For example, 3 other companies thought I should replace my 60,000 BTU furnace with the same size. This company wanted to install an 80,000 BTU. I'm not an expert, so I can't say who was right for sure, but I was a little unsure if I should trust this rep, despite his experience in the business. We went with a lower bid.
