Things went really well. The service person was early both days which was fine because I could let him in before I left for work.

The technician was very professional and polite. He described in detail each phase of the duct cleaning and inspection, and did a thorough job of cleaning ducts. I would be happy to hire this company again.

The mechanic, George, arrived earlier than the appointment time (a pleasant surprise) and after some quick checks, discovered a bird's nest in the intake valve of the furnace. He cleaned out the debris. Because he had to saw the pipe off, he ran out to a hardware store and bought a coupler to reattach the pipe. He knew I was in a hurry to get back to work and completed the job quickly, plus cleaned up thoroughly. He did not charge us for the coupler or the trip to Ace Hardware.

Woke up in the AM and the furnace wasn't working. Called and they were able to come out mid-afternoon, and pulled a bird out of the furnace... then they wrapped the chimney so no other birds could cause this again. Super impressed!

They checked and found out that there was a leak in the condenser coil. They told me that fixing it would cost more than buying a new one. They were informative and courteous. They were on time and they knew what they were talking about.

It went very well. I rated the price an "A" -- but I really don't know how other companies' prices would compare. I thought it was a good value.

They did a very good job with the installation, the installer, Jack, worked from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM with hardly a break. The two follow up technicians, David, and George, hooked up the rest of the electrical, humidifier, and ran additional tests on the furnace. The city inspector remarked that the job was very good.

They were professional and knew what they were talking about. Their customer service was very good and they did good follow up as well. Their pricing was reasonable and the quality of their work was good.

I decided to use a different company. Their price was competitive, and they have good ratings on here ... however, their salesman was "overselling" and not answering my questions with anything other than "trust me I know what I am doing". While I'm sure they would have done a good job had I hired them, their salesman turned me off and made it an easy decision for me to use a company that didn't talk down to me.

Overall I am very happy. Before Residential Heating and Air came to my house I had a few bids. They were not the cheapest but they didn't scratch their heads when I told them what I wanted to do. I didn't feel like I was being pressured into something that I didn't want to do. At the same time they explained what the process was and how everything works. I had a hard time getting ahold of some of the other companies that bid the work and I never once had that problem using Residential Heating and Air. They showed up when they said they would and got the job done. Everything looks great! I would feel comfortable having this company work in my friends and families house.

They were very professional and straight forward. The project went just as planned and there were no problems with any of the work. The price for the work was competitive.

I thought they did a good job with the installation in the tight space. They were very prompt and they did the job quickly. I only give them a B because they did not measure the space for the air conditioning unit and they originally sold us one that was to large for the room, so I had to go with an air conditioner I might not have chosen originally.

I was extremely impressed by the knowledge and professionalism Chris showed. He was friendly, courteous, prompt, and deliberate in working with us to make sure our needs were addressed. His ability to answer all questions reflected his experience, expertise, and patience! I was even more impressed by his follow up the day after the in-home consult, and again the following week (I told him I would get back to him with a decision and was delayed). That service-mindedness is rare these days, unfortunately. It's a good indication of the on-going support and service that Residential most certainly provides. In the end, our decision ultimately came down to bottom line. Chris' estimate was just over the other company's. That said, I would not hesitate to contact Residential for future needs, and highly recommend Residential for your furnace/AC needs. Thanks, Chris, and keep up the good work!

We had not had our duct work, AC etc cleaned for a few years (my oversight). We were getting a stale "AC-dog-cat" smell in the house. Residential did a quick and thorough cleaning job. The house immediately smelled fresher. They also gave me some tips on how to clean my outside AC unit and how to run the furnace fan for best efficiency.

The AC installation was very smooth. The ductwork, coolant line and gas line moving were completed exactly as promised. They found an issue with my old furnace, but when their furnace guy came in, he let me know that it was still workable, and it might well last another five years.

The original repair person was professional and candid without forcing his view. Renee worked to configure a cost effective replacement solution that met our needs. Dana, the installation person worked very hard and creatively to make the specified solution fit our physical environment. Unfortunately, our house was not physically configured in a manner that could work with the unit. Renee, the customer service/sales person, came up with a best alternative (slightly less efficient and not clearly eligible for a tax credit). New system was installed later in the day and the electrical work was completed the following day. We feel that Residential worked very hard with us to come up with an optimal solution for us.

After tiring of the fight with my nearly 30 year old furnace and AC, I decided to get get some replacement estimates. Of the bids I received, Residential was very competitve, so I scheduled an install appointment for within a week after getting the estimate. The installer arrived promptly, and got right to work. He was courteous, and answered all my questions. The installation was finished in one day, and the system was hooked up and ready to go the next day. The duct cleaning was done a few weeks later, and that caused the only problem I had with the whole experience. A small piece of debris from the duct cleaning fell and blocked the drain on the AC pan, After one attempt and a missed weekend call, they took care of it. I should also mention that they were very good about getting me my rebate forms promptly, and answering any questions I had about them.

The company was totally unresponsive. I was not asking for rush service - just a call back to schedule the estimate. The receptionist (in the phone) was very friendly, but unfortunately she has no influence on whether the estimator returns calls. If they're this unreliable at returning calls, I question the quality of service.

I did a careful analysis of 5 companies selected based on their Angies list grade and number of reports. I read every report of the top three. Residential was far and away the best reported on company of the lot - AND they had the best price. One of the owners - Chris - actually came to the house on Memorial Day weekend to do the estimate and gave a great explanation of his proposal. I grew up in a Lennox dealer household and so felt I had a pretty good knowledge of the basics of a good job. He actually proposed a SMALLER furnace than the furnace they replaced - for better efficiency - and built a solution that optimized the various tax and rebate resources available. The installer did a very high quality job installation, workiong with us on the location of the supply and exhaust piping for outside air. Cleanup was remarkable. Part of their package is a no charge duct cleaning AFTER the furnace is installed. This was the most thorough duct cleaning I have ever seen! I can't tell you how much junk came out of the ducts (after just 15 years AND they had been "cleaned" by the previous owner. Of course the final analysis is how does the system work? Marvelously! I love Lennox and Residential!

I thought they did a really good job. My partner was getting ready for work that morning and they were really good about waiting or just working around her. Explained everything to me and were not pushy about needing upgrades or extras. Bill Sr. even tried to fix our automatic air cleaner and when he couldn't he told me what kind of filter to replace it with and where to buy it. Very nice and friendly!

Company was responsive, came when scheduled and completed work as estimated. Seemed very knowledgable.

They were on time. The bid I received was higher than others, but they provided information regarding the tax credit.
