Description of Work: weve used Kimberley four times, first for a master suite remodel in our previous home, she did the design work and we contracted. She did an amazing job, somehow turning our sorta lame ideas into an elegant retreat that was OUr taste (even though we're not elegant people!) that made me smile every time I walked into it. I truly believe she sacked us money by making the right choices. second project was small tuneup before we sold the house - full price in 7 days. hird was a six month almost total redo of our new condo including custom cabinetry, new flooring, custom furniture, lighting, window treatments, etc. this time she designed and contracted. Everything was done impeccably, her subs were stellar and jus as professional. If something wasn't perfect it was redone. Two years on we love it except for one chair - my choice! last year she was my first call when I wanted to redo the guest room. she works with your budget and timeline and will GET your style, not recreate a room in pottery barn but make it YOUR room. I'm about to call her again for a Very little project - you know that chair we don't like?

Description of Work: We recently moved here from the NY area and hired Kimberly a month before we moved in to make extensive modifications to our 1992 lakefront home (but no additions). We converted a three season porch into a four season indoor spa with a large hot tub flushed into the floor. This required extensive modifications including a large heat exchanger exhaust system to rapidly remove high humidity levels. She specified a unique woven vinyl waterproof floor covering that looks like expensive carpeting. In the family room extensively modified the fireplace, while converting it to gas, and custom built an amazing 3 dimensional media wall around the fireplace and a 55" plasma display, with all components concealed in custom cabinetry that matches existing built-in bookshelves. Upgraded the inset wall-to-wall carpeting. Specified custom chaise, two barrel chairs, recliner, two tables and an over sized ottoman to furnish the room. Reversed the swing of double French doors that separated the family room and living room, increasing the usable space in a fairly small living room. In the Kitchen we added a built-in desk plus customized cabinetry above it, all of which was a perfect match to the existing 1992 cabinetry it abuts. All cabinet pulls and handles were changed to a new finish, completely changing the character of the kitchen. Recovered the kitchen chair pads to compliment new color scheme. In the dining room used single color wallpaper with one large accent wall with a complimentary pattern that was echoed in window treatments and fabric covered custom light fixtures. In master bedroom she selected custom bed linens and window treatments. Designed wall decorations to reflect an Asian theme using our WW II vintage collection of Japanese artifacts. Specified new night stands to compliment existing bedroom set. Wallpapered master bath in a compatible style. Replaced bath caf curtains with woven bottom up blinds. In older daughter's walkout basement bedroom, built a curved raised floor platform for the bed, elegantly solving the problem that the window was 2" higher than egress code permitted. Also added a curved wall expansion of an inadequate closet that mirrors the platform shape, doubled the size of the window facing the lake, had the room faux finished in 5 different shades of our daughter's favorite color and provided custom treatments for window, closet opening and bed linens. In our younger daughter's room, the faux finisher did a pastel yellow with vertical green stripes. Kimberly found off the shelf retail bed linens to match the decor and save thousands over custom linens. Changed out light fixtures and cabinet pulls throughout the house. Replaced window treatments throughout the house. Repainted entire interior of the house in the new color schemes. Enlarged the four plain 6 x 6 wood columns on the front porch and clad the bottom third of each column with cultured stone.

Description of Work: We hired The Herrick Design Group to complete numerous projects in our home, including a custom bookcase and fireplace in our formal living room, lighting placement and selection, and selection of all materials and furniture. We also used Herrick Design for a full bathroom and family room remodel. Kimberly is the absolute best! She truly cares for her clients and always has their best interest in mind when creating their environment and selecting their materials.
