The electrician arrived about 15 minutes after the start time and quickly completed the work. However, he did not clean up at all. He moved my rug in the laundry room and left it rolled up in the corner with wood shavings covering the floor. In the garage, he left a low voltage wire hanging at head level which I later had to staple to the wall to prevent running into it. He also left wood chips all over the garage and failed to pick up the 6 - 10 wall brackets which include two sharp nails that were strewn around the garage. My small son and I have been picking the brackets up, and I am hoping that we've not run over one with a car tire. Although the work was done well, the clean up was atrocious. I would not use them again or reccomend them to anyone!

After a rocky start of a missed appointment and then a late arrival with no call, Gunnar made up for it with a super attitude, professionalism, and true customer service. I will definitely use them again for future projects.

They agreed to come out on the same day that I called which was pleasantly surprising. I was very impressed with their troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly find and fix the problem. I would highly recommend Gunnar electric.

The electrician was on time, pleasant, the cost came in a little under $100.00 less than originally quoted and he cleaned up when he was done. Needless to say, both my husband and I were very pleased with the work we received from Gunnar and plan to use them for all future projects that require an electrician.

Serviceman was scheduled to arrive between 7:30 - 8:00 am. He was already knocking on my door at 7:25 am when I came home from dropping my daughter off at school. Gave him a tour of the work to be performed so he could provide me w/ an estimate before he got started. Next thing I knew he was already starting into the work without providing me w/ an estimate. I asked him how they did their billing- hourly? He said yes, hourly, and stated the rate was $130 for the first hour & $99 for each additional hour. When he was finished at 11:45 am he charged me $130 for the first hour plus FOUR full additional hours of work. (Total actual time was 4 hours & 20 minutes.) I guess they do some creative rounding where 20 minutes is rounded to the next full hour. ??? Overall the work was performed well. He did leave one outlet for me to finish hooking up- should not be a big deal as I am fairly handy- and a little bit of a mess to clean up, but nothing major. Final recommendation, make sure they have a clear understanding of the scope of work, you understand their billing terms, and you get an estimate before they even show up. All in all their work was good, but their service did not meet my expectations for a "A" rated Angie's list contractor.

My original call-in was less than satisfactory, it took a followup call by self to get a scheduled time for the electrician. However, the on-site electrician performed great. He moved from task to task efficiently, I felt like he was responsive to my needs. He cleaned up after himself.

Called Gunnar because pool pump was no longer working. They were highly responsive and came out the same evening. He quickly discovered a non-electrical problem with the pool that was easily fixed. They did not charge us a service call for this stop, which we greatly appreciated.

Gunnar Electric gave me a good estimate. They explained what every detail of the job would cost. They were able to put me on their schedule quickly. They even placed the stove in place. I would use them again in the future.

They did an excellent job with the inspection.

He was excellent. I did not use them but they gave me the advice I needed and they saved me $100. So not only did I not pay anything, I got to take back some equipment that I didn't need. I'm very happy with them and would recommend them for other people to use.

I'm thrilled. After months of procrastination, I finally decided to get some long-needed electrical work done in my home. At 9:50 am this morning, after checking Angie's List, I called Gunnar Electric and outlined my requirements. "Terry" explained Gunnar's pricing terms: $130 for a visit, including up to 1 hour of work; $90 per hour thereafter; materials extra. I agreed to those terms, expecting that Terry would schedule an electrician to come to my home within a week or so. But Terry worked a minor miracle, and scheduled electrician Russ to come over almost immediately. Russ arrived at my home at 11 am, checked out my list of needs, and took the trouble to explain to me optional solutions to each of them. He then set to work...and worked very fast and efficiently indeed. In just 3 hours, Russ fixed and/or fitted everything that needed to be done. By 2 pm, the entire list of jobs was finished. I have no adverse comment to make at all in relation to this spectacular service. I gave Russ a check for payment-in-full before he left. He said that was rare, and that many customers expect Gunnar to bill them so that they can pay later. I gather that Gunnar add a small "handling" fee to the invoice when customers ask for credit in that way.

Very friendly service and courteous. Called to indicate he would be late due to traffic. Came prepared to fix all the issues and provided excellent advice on whether to put a new outlet in. Gave quote. I decided not to get the outlet installed.

The basic wiring was done but we needed an accredited electrician with our city to complete the work. Gunnar Electric was very responsive in getting someone out initially, as well as the other visits needed to complete the job. They were easy to contact and flexible with scheduling.

Courteous professional appointment person asked what I needed and set a time. Provider arrived on time, knew what I'd asked be done, looked at the rooms and started to work. We encountered that the fans I'd bought weren't going to work, he was very detailed in describing what I needed to go get and planned what he'd do while I ran to hardware store for the exchange. I brought back the only fan that would work and though it was going to leave a gap, as he installed, he explained in good detail how to remedy the situation. He apologized that he couldn't leave the job perfect and said he likes to. I appreciated it but it isn't his job that my house has unique situations. He cleaned up after the jobs were done and was very polite and courteous. We couldn't install the canister light because it had no switch and was really for hard wiring a smoke detector into the ceiling. He explained how to cap the hole which was very helpful!

Asked for an estimate and was advised the "he'd send someone over" and it would cost me $150.00 - how he'd know this without looking at what I needed done, I don't know. I advised him that I was asking for an estimate, not committing to the work. When I advised him that I was simply getting estimates on the work and I had other's coming over to provide estimates, he indicated he didn't work for free... which was never the issue. All I wanted was an estimate - not terribly cooperative or understanding. Not at all impressed with his professionalism.

I spoke with Laura who was very professional and accommodating when I scheduled the appointment. She told me someone would be at my home btwn 12-3. I waited and no one showed up or called. I had to call them and by that time it was too late for me to wait any longer. Very frustrating.

Good experience. Made an appointment over the phone. Gunnar showed up when promised. Installed the lights as requested. Everything was good.

Excellent. Have used them before and also excellent. Were able to schedule within 48 hours, and then they actually called and said they could come the first day. Excellent work, great clean-up, and polite with our young kids.

They were here at the time they said. They did a great job, didn't leave a mess, and made sure they cleaned up after they were done. They were very polite and did just what needed to be done.

They had excellent service, they had a couple problems but they came and fixed them. I thought that the price was very reasonable and that neat and clean.

Russ worked efficiently and kept his work area clean. No estimate was obtained, however the time it took to complete the job was less than I expected. I was very pleased with the work performed and would hire the company again.

We asked for a service call to restore power to our office. Some of the ceiling lights worked but others did not and the outlets were also not working. We talked to Terry to make the appointment. He asked if we had checked the GFI's. There aren't any in that room. He told us they didn't have to be in the same room. Sure enough, the GFI in the powder room down the hall needed to be reset. We pushed reset...we now have power and Terry saved us a service call. You don't see that very often these days. Thank you Terry and Gunnar Electric. We will certainly use Gunnar Electric for future electrical needs!
