Glass Doctor of Minneapolis

He was over an hour late. They cracked the glass. They took the capping out of the windows to measure and wasn't going to put it back in, until I told him to. Other companies came out and did not take the capping out to measure. He was dropping everything. We were planning on replacing the windows, but didn't know exactly when and now we have a cracked window. The estimator did not offer to compensate for the cracked window.

We took window to them, they ordered the glass, repaired and we picked it up. No problems from beginning to end.

The technician was very professional. He explained the limitations on the services, that his company could provide and suggested, that a window replacement would be a better option, particularly if insurance would cover it. He gave me an estimate for clear glass, as well as a, low estimate and explained the difference and the advantages/disadvantages. The company called back twice, to follow up which was helpful. We elected to replace the window.

Estimated as scheduled for window, but had to call to follow up on estimate for repair. Despite the estimator claiming that the company could repair a storm door, was told that they did not do this type of work. Estimate was considerably higher than other estimates and attitude was unprofessional.

The company's response was excellent! Someone came to measure within 36 hours of my call. Even though it had to be custom made, the new window was installed within 10 days. The new window is perfect, and the installation was done beautifully.

Set up appointment with Marv and he was very pleasant. Person who came out to replace the window said that if I drove the car within 24 hours, I would void any warranty on the replacement windshield, which messed up picking up my daughter from daycare. (Their office later told me this information was incorrect). Also forgot tools in our garage. Window installed was defective. Manager I dealt with was very intimidating and hostle to me and my insurance company, and threatened to bill me personally for the defective windows, which he said were perfectly fine. If I had not had a problem with the glass, I would have thought this was a good company to work with. Their motto is ''we fix your panes'', but for me there were nothing but a major pain to deal with!

I got three bids and this was $600 less than the highest and $300 less than the middle bid. They came to do the bid when I asked. They did the work as promised, arrived on time, and did a very good job. I almost decided not to get a bid from this company, because other members had rated them as "B" in the price category.

THERE IS STICKER SHOCK ON HOW MUCH IT COST TO REPLACE. HOWEVER, SOME CUSTOM GLASS CUTTING IS APPARENTLY REQUIRED. THEY CAME PROMPTLY WHEN INITIALLY CALLED AND PROVIDED ACCURATE ESTIMATES ON WHEN WORK COULD BE DONE AND ITS COST. THE WORK WAS DONE RAPIDLY AND THEY LEFT THE PLACE CLEAN. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT GETTING GLASS REPLACED ON AN BRAND NEW MODEL CAR WITH HEATED WIPERS. THEY HAD THE GLASS IN STOCK. CAME TO MY WORKPLACE AND REPLACED IT. DID THE JOB QUICKLY AND WITHOUT ME EVEN HAVING TO LEAVE MY OFFICE. THEY ALSO TOOK CARE OF ALL THE INSURANCE WORK PAPERWORK FOR ME.

THEY WERE ABLE TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR THE NEXT DAY, WHICH WAS GREAT, SINCE I HAD A HOLE IN THE WINDOW PANE AND IT WAS COLD! THE REPAIRMAN WAS OVER AN HOUR LATE, BUT DID CALL TO TELL ME HE WAS RUNNING LATE. THE REPAIR ITSELF WENT SMOOTHLY- VERY QUICK AND I'M PLEASED WITH THE WORK. THEY WERE NOT THE CHEAPEST ESTIMATE I GOT FOR THE WORK, BUT THEY WERE COMPARABLE IN PRICE AND WERE ABLE TO SCHEDULE QUICKLY.

THE SERVICE MAN ARRIVED ON TIME & COMPLETED THE WORK VERY QUICKLY. WHEN FINISHED, HE CLEANED THE WINDSHIELD AND GAVE US THE CAN OF CLEANER.

VERY PROMPT RESPONSE TO OUR INITIAL CALL. THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT FIVE DAYS FOR THE GLASS TO COME IN, WHICH WAS THE CASE.

THIS WAS SOMEWHAT OF AN EMERGENCY SEEING OUR HOUSE WAS OPEN TO THIS BROKEN WINDOW. THEY CAME OUT AND REPLACED THE WINDOW. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL.

COMPANY WAS WILLING TO WORK ON CAR WITH OUT ME BEING THERE. I JUST LEFT THE CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY AND WENT TO WORK. THEY TOOK CARE OF ALL THE INSURANCE WORK FOR ME.

VERY IMPRESSIVE RESPONSIVENESS. HAD AN ESTIMATOR OUT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF MY CALL, AND THE SPECIAL ORDER WINDOW WAS MANUFACTURED IN LESS THAN 1 WEEK. INSTALLED NEW WINDOW WITHIN 24 HOURS OF RECEIPT FROM MANUFACTURER. PRICE WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS WILLING TO PAY. EMPLOYEES WERE CORDIAL AND ON TIME. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN!

THEY ARE BETTER AT DOING GLASS THAN SCREENS, BUT THEN THEY ARE A GLASS COMPANY, NOT A SCREEN COMPANY. THE LONG, NARROW SCREENS WE HAD WERE TRICKY TO WORK WITH AND HAD TO BE REDONE, BUT THE PEOPLE AT GLASS COMPANY WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT MAKING OUR SCREENS RIGHT FOR US. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS PLEASANT, STRIVING TO PLEASE. I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO USE THEM AGAIN FOR GLASS WORK OR SCREENING.

WHEN TECHNICIAN SHOWED UP TO INSTALL WINDOWS, HE DISCOVERED THAT TWO HAD BEEN MEASURED INCORRECTLY BY THE ESTIMATOR. WE HAD TO WAIT AN ADDITIONAL TWO WEEKS TO HAVE WINDOWS REFABRICATED AND INSTALLED. INSTALLER DESTROYED OUTSIDE CASING ON ONE WINDOW, WHICH WE THEN HAD TO REPLACE AND PAINT TO MATCH. (IT WAS A HASSLE FOR US, BECAUSE THE WINDOW WAS 20' ABOVE THE GROUND.) SLOPPY WORKMANSHIP ON THE CAULKING OF ALL THE WINDOWS.

TIMELY AND COURTEOUS, GOOD INSTALLATION. UNFORTUNATELY CLEAN-UP NOT TOO GOOD, LOTS OF GLASS SHARDS & GLASS DUST ON DASH.

FRONT WINDSHIELD REPLACED AS PROMISED. 13 DAYS LATER, AFTER GOING THROUGH A CAR WASH, I NOTICED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION. SERVICE REP CAME OUT TO INSPECT AND SAID CRACK WAS CAUSED BY ROCK CHIP. MY INSURANCE AGENT SAID THAT, GIVEN THE BRIEF TIMEFRAME, THEY SHOULD REPLACE AS PROBABLY DEFECTIVE GLASS OR IMPROPER INSTALLATION. WHEN I SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER, HE SAID THEY COULDN'T WARRANTY AGAINST CHIPS. HE JUST KEPT REPEATING THEY COULDN'T WARRANTY AGAINST CHIPS. HE ALSO SAID HE REPLACED SOMEONE'S WINDSHIELD 5 TIMES IN ONE MONTH DUE TO CHIPS (HELLO?). VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. WOULD NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND GLASS DOCTOR. MY INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT RECOMMEND EITHER.

A TAD BIT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN I EXPECTED, BUT THE QUALITY WAS EXCELLENT. THE PEOPLE WERE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. WORK COMPLETED IN 3 DAYS.

REPLACED BROKEN PANE IN OLD DOUBLE HUNG WINDOW. WAS UNWILLING TO ATTEMPT REPLACEMENT OF BROKEN PANE IN THE FIXED PORTION OF ANOTHER DOUBLE HUNG WINDOW (MY CONDO UNIT IS ON THE 3RD FLOOR). LEFT DARK FINGERPRINTS AND SMUDGES ON WINDOW FRAME.

I REALIZE THAT THEY WILL TYPICALLY CHARGE FOR THEIR SERVICES BUT THE WAY THEY TREATED ME FOR THIS LITTLE JOB MEANS THAT I''LL DEFINITELY GO BACK WHEN I NEED SOMETHING LARGER DONE.

THEY FIXED MY CAR THE SAME DAY I CALLED THEM, USED HONDA PARTS, AND CAME TO MY JOB TO PERFORM THE WORK. HIGHEST MARKS FROM START TO FINISH, INCLUDING HANDLING THE INSURANCE CLAIM RIGHT ON THE PHONE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE WINDOW AFTER THE REPAIR, AND THEY CAME BACK IMMEDIATELY TO LOOSEN IT UP FOR ME. THEY WERE VERY NICE.

ANOTHER COMPANY WAS LOWER PRICED, BUT COULDN''T DO THE WORK AS SOON AS I WANTED. THIS COMPANY WAS PRICED IN THE MIDDLE OF 2 OTHERS. GLASS DOCTOR WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE THE WORK THE DAY AFTER I CALLED. THEY CALLED BEFORE ARRIVING. ARRIVED ON TIME. AND EXPLAINED THE PROCEDURE. IT ONLY TOOK THE TECH ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO COMPLETE THE WORK.
