Description of Work: My air conditioner was not working the end of last summer. I don't recall the exact date so I listed August 31, 2014. also don't recall the cost but it was under a thousand. A very nice serviceman came out to look at my AC and said he needed to add some type of liquid, I don't recall what it was. . He came back the next day and poured the liquid in. It still wasn't working. He then said "I know this will sound crazy, but I'm thinking the manufacture did not load the correct liquid into the container and I will have to come back tomorrow. What??? I called and cancelled any future appointment and then got a substantial bill later. I called to dispute the bill which they quickly dropped. I appreciated their customer service which is why I gave them a grade D over an F. I had another serviceman I trust ( my contractor for a remodel uses him) look at my AC. He told me it was ruined and the most likely cause was that the wrong fluid had been poured in. I now have to replace my whole AC This spring snd I have a large home with a very expensive air conditioner. It won't be cheap.

They were wonderful to work with.
Description of Work: They changed out an oil furnace to a new gas furnace. They arranged for the removal of a tank of heating oil. They also installed a new dryer vent.

HAD THEM OUT TO REPAIR FURNACE. TECHNICIAN WAS NICE ENOUGH, BUT SEEMED TOTALLY FLUMMOXED BY THE PROBLEM. AFTER ALMOST TWO HOURS, HE ENDED UP CALLING IN ANOTHER TECH. ULTIMATELY, THEY SUGGESTED THAT THE INSIDES OF THE FURNACE BE CLEANED, ALTHOUGH THEY INDICATED THAT THEY WEREN'T SURE THE CLEANING WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY GAVE ME A ROUGH ESTIMATE OF 2-6 HOURS OF WORK, AT $130.00 AN HOUR (IN ADDITION TO THE $120 TRIP FEE). WHEN I INSISTED THAT I NEEDED MORE ASSURANCE OF A SOLUTION IF I MIGHT BE CHARGED UPWARDS OF $900, THEIR SUPERVISOR BALKED AND ACTED AS IF I WERE BEING UNREASONABLE. DECIDED I'D RATHER DEAL WITH A COMPANY WITH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MORE PROFESSIONALISM.

THE TECHNICIAN SHOWED UP RIGHT ON TIME. THEY COME ON WEEKENDS and EVENINGS, WHICH YOU CAN'T GET FROM ALL HEATING and A/C DEALERS. THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED and I HAVEN'T HAD ANY TROUBLE SINCE.

AS ONE OF THE SUBS ON A MUCH LARGER PROJECT I WOULD GIVE THEM A MIXED REVIEW. THE WORK WAS WELL DONE. ON ONE OCCASION EARLY IN THE PROJECT A WORKER JUST WALKED INTO THE HOUSE WITHOUT KNOCKING OR RINGING THE DOORBELL AND THEN PROCEEDED TO ARGUE WITH ME THAT THIS WAS OK. HOWEVER ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION THE MEN SAT IN THEIR TRUCK FOR OVER AN HOUR WHILE MY DOG BARKED INSIDE. I FINALLY HAD TO ASK IF THEY INTENDED TO COME IN.

PAUL AND JOHN, ESTIMATORS, DID A WONDERFUL JOB EVALUATING WHAT WAS POSSIBLE AND TRYING TO MINIMIZE EXPOSED DUCT WORK AND CHANGES TO MY HOME. JEFF, TONY, AND MATT COMPLETED THE INSTALLATION OF THE UNITS AND THE DUCT WORK. THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME AND VERY FRIENDLY. THEY WERE EXTREMELY CONSIDERATE OF MY HOME AND MY DESIRES. THEY WORKED WITH ME TO FIND THE BEST LOCATION AND SOLUTION FOR RUNNING ALL DUCT WORK AND LOCATING ALL VENTS. THEY COMMUNICATED WITH ME EVERYDAY REGARDING STATUS AND TIMING. THEY CLEANED UP EVERY DAY AND TRIED THEIR BEST TO MINIMIZE THE DUST IN MY HOME. I DON'T THINK I HAVE EVER HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE OR BEEN MORE PLEASED WITH CONTRACTORS COMPLETING WORK ON MY HOME. THE INSTALLATION TOOK ABOUT 6 DAYS AND WAS COSTLY, BUT I'M STILL PLEASED.

Description of Work: THEY INSTALLED AND REPLACED OUR BOILER IN OUR HOME THREE YEARS AGO. INSTALLATION WENT WELL & THEY WERE VERY CLEAN. BUT WE'VE HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THE BOILER SINCE. A COUPLE MONTHS LATER PUMP WAS NOISY & THEY CAME OUT AND REPLACED IT. DURING DECEMBER WE STARTED OCCASIONALLY HEARING A LARGE BOOM THAT SHOOK THE HOUSE & FLAMES ROLLED OUT THE FRONT WHEN THE BOILER TURNED ON BUT IT WAS SPORATIC. THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT BUT COULDN'T GET IT TO REPEAT THE PROBLEM WHEN THEY WERE THERE SO THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BUT CHARGE US FOR THE CALL. THE TECH ACTED LIKE I WAS MAKING UP THE FLAME PART! IT CONTINUED TO MAKE THE NOISE & FLAMES. FEARED HOUSE WOULD GO UP IN FLAMES. AFTER ANOTHER VISIT, THEY RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE CHIMNEY LINING SINCE 'NOTHING' WAS WRONG WITH THE BOILER. WE SPENT $1600 REPLACING THE LINER WHICH DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM! FINALLY, AFTER A CALL LATE ONE NIGHT, THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM AFTER MIDNIGHT BY REPLACING THE ELECTRONIC PILOT SWITCH WHICH WAS COVERED UNDER WARRA

I WAS MOST DISAPPOINTED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORKMANSHIP AND THE LENGTH OF TIME REQUIRED FOR COMPLETION. I DISCOVERED THAT THE FURNACE WAS INCORRECTLY INSTALLED (NOT LEVEL). THEIR FIX WAS TO JAM SOME BROKEN SPLINTERS OF SCRAP LUMBER FROM MY SITE UNDER ONE END OF THE FURNACE. NOW THE FURNACE IS NOT PROPERLY SUPPORTED. I CALLED ABOUT THE POOR WORKMANSHIP AND RECEIVED NO RETURN CALL.
