Beds & Borders Landscape Design

Andy came out to look at my yard in the spring and came up with a general design and estimate. Although a drawn design was not included, he was good about answering my questions about the design and plants he was recommending and we had an open dialog about what would work and look good. The work was completed during a week around the time he first projected. I made a last minute request for the addition of a patio and Andy accepted the change (and made it happen!) without batting an eye. Follow-through and corrections of some minor omissions were made fairly promptly. Andy has been, and continues to be, very good to work with.

Andy communicated very well via email to set time to meet and was very flexible about when we could get together. He showed up just when he said he would. He listened to my wife and I explain what we liked, what we disliked and even some of our hair-brained ideas with great patience. He then set to work to give us a detailed drawing of an entirely new landscape design for our entire yard, completing it in about an hour. Andy then sat down with us and explained everything in great detail including estimated costs of construction and how we could do it ourselves. He had a great attitude and respectfully entertained questions from our 10-year old daughter. He even took the time to give our old dog a nice pat. All of us, including the dog, would have Andy back anytime to work at our home.

This was the most responsive and professional company I have dealt with in all our various remodeling projects. Andy responds quickly to email. The crew was very nice, mostly university students studying landscape architecture. They worked very quickly. I think they finished in one day. They were very open to my input and extremely easy to work with. I highly recommend them. Their prices also were very reasonable.

Andy and his crew worked hard to meet our timetable and helped us to stay on budget. He worked well with the other sub-contractors on the project and was conscientious of our neighbors. Andy is ethical and professional and we couldn't have been happier with his service. He continues to check in with us and is only a phone call away if we have any questions or concerns. His service continues after the project is complete.

The choices of stone and plants was perfect - very complementary to the house and exactly in line with the look and feeling I wanted. He came back to me with great ideas for the landscaping and was able to break the project into two phases to work with our budget. They cleaned up after the project and left our yard looking better then they way they found it.

Andy came out right away, took some photos of what I had. I have used 2 other large landscape companies over the last few years & was very disappointed w/ them so I thought I would give them a try....Andy came back with a detailed plan & colored pictures of all the plants and trees. They did the work in 3 days & I was so thrilled with it I had them do more.....it was extremely hot and dry over the next month so a few shrubs died. I called Andy and they replaced them right away. They were great to work with (Chris, Mike & Andy). I would refer them to any one...two of my friends are using them now....

We have used Andy, Mike, Chris and the rest of the team for what is becoming a multi-phased landscaping project. We have greatly appreciated their ability to take some rather vague ideas on our part and translate them into definite improvements to the "curb appeal" of our home. On the design side, Andy comes prepared with good ideas and can quickly adapt to any thoughts or concerns we have regarding maintenance, budget, etc. On the implementation side, Mike and Chris do a great job of ensuring that Andy's ideas become reality. I called to get an estimate on a landscaping project. I left a detailed explanation as to what was involved and asked for them to give us a call back to let us know if they could stop by to assess the needs and give us an estimate. I left the street address on the answering machine in the event that someone could stop by before they had a chance to return my call. It s been six weeks and I'm pretty sure no one will be returning my call.

Andy is knowledgeable, personable, and punctual. Prices are comparable to other established companies; his education and background, as well as service, give him an edge. Those who work with him are hard workers and easy to have around. Basically, they're all nice guys. I've hired Beds & Borders twice and will again.

They will answer any landscaping questions, even for a novice like myself. They gave me good advice on how to maintain throughout all seasons.

Our experience was great. Andy was very responsive from the first time I called, and also very creative in his design, while minding our budget. When he came back with his proposal, he was very collaborative and willing to take suggestions and also told me what we could get for a little extra beyond our budget, if we were interested. Which we were, it was the stone border, it made a huge difference in the overall appearance. The crew he sent did a good job and finished the entire front yard in one full day of work. Andy also came out himself at the start and end of the day, he walked through the care for each of the types of plants with me. Afterwards, one of our bushes didn't take, but I called Andy and he came out promptly to replace per the contract. I would definitely use again for other landscaping needs.
