I was struggling with my roof repair so we decided to call someone. We found Your Home Construction on the list and called for an estimate. The owner, Tracy said he was in our neighborhood and could stop by within an hour. He arrived 15 minutes later and did the work on the spot! We have a barn style roof which is hard to access but he had no problem. The whole process from phone call to finish took less than an hour. We are very impressed and will be using them for future jobs.

He is superb. he is reliable, competent and very pleasant to deal with. He is very responsive when we need his services. He does terrific work. We have been very pleased with all the work he does. We are very particular with the workers we have here, this is an architeched-designed home. He is very conscious of the price and very helpful with doing the work economically.

Tracy came over for the appointment as scheduled. He was courteous and kind. He said he would get the estimate to us in a few days. Two weeks later we still hadn't received it. I called and he said he had a big job that caused some problems and that he'd get it to me in a week. Two weeks more and still no estimate. I called again. He said he'd get it to me in a couple of days. Two weeks later still no estimate. One more call and another promise. That was around June. I finally gave up as we never heard anything.

I went with another company for the job.

Tracy Pumper came over in person a couple hours after my first call, and he looked over the porch we wanted replaced. He said he'd get back to me in a week with a bid, and after two weeks I called him since I hadn't heard back. He called me back within the hour with a quote. I called him a couple weeks later to set up a time, and he said he'd drop off a brochure with information about the materials. A couple weeks later he arrived within an hour of the scheduled time, and he apologized for forgetting to get the brochure to me. It took him about half a day with two guys helping to finish the job, and since they finished quicker than they had planned, he gave me $50 off the quoted price (reflected already in the price I gave Angie's). They cleaned up well, and were very polite and nice to work with. They were worth any wait, and Tracy seems like a very nice man. He just needs a secretary to send out brochures and bids so he doesn't have to worry about it.

It was a pleasure to do business with Tracy! His team of three are true craftsmen who obviously take pride in their work. They finished the job in about 2 days, and the end result is simply fabulous. I no longer worry about the porch roof toppling down on us, nor the old floorboards popping their nails out! Tracy may not occasionally return calls promptly, but that's just because he's so busy. For those who do not get a call back from him when expected, just keep calling him. His work is DEFINITELY worth it, and he's a super-nice guy.

Tracy came out to do the estimate and promised to get back to me within a week. Unfortunately, that was two weeks ago and I haven't heard a word from him.

Tracy returned my calls promptly and scheduled a walk-through of my basement. He arrived on schedule and was friendly and seemed interested in the job. However, he did not submit a written bid on request within one week of visiting my home. I called him to follow up to ask if he was still interested in the work. He claimed that he was busy and would still send a bid. I never received a bid during the following month.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT.

HE DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR OUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT AND DIDN'T CALL TO LET ME KNOW HE WOULD NOT BE HERE.

WORKING WITH YOUR HOME CONSTRUCTION HAS BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE. TRACY WAS RESPONSIVE. THE WORK WAS HIGH QUALITY AND IT WAS COMPLETED IN A TIMELY WAY. THE WORKERS WERE CAREFUL WITH THE REST OF THE HOUSE WHILE THEY WORKED ON MANY PROJECTS AROUND THE FIRST FLOOR AND BASEMENT. I REQUESTED A CHANGE TO THE STAIR TRIM MID-WAY THROUGH THE WORK AND THEY WERE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE. THE ESTIMATED PRICE WAS THE FINAL PRICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ALL. THEY REALLY ARE EXCELLENT TO WORK WITH AND THE END RESULT IS OUTSTANDING.

TRACY RESPONDED PROMPTLY TO MY PHONE CALL. HE CAME OUT AND DID THE ESTIMATE. HE WAS VERY WILLING TO SPEND THE TIME TO ANSWER QUESTIONS I HAD REGARDING THE WORK. HE COMPLETED THE PROJECT IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER. HIS PRICING WAS REASONABLE. HE WAS VERY GOOD TO WORK WITH AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

TRACY CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE TO LOOK AT THE JOB AND PROMISED AN ESTIMATE BY THE END OF THE WEEK. I CALLED ON TUESDAY OF THE NEXT WEEK AND HE ASKED IF HE COULD HAVE ANOTHER FEW DAYS TO GET THE BID BACK TO US. TWO WEEKS LATER, AFTER WE HAD ALREADY HIRED SOMEONE ELSE, HE CALLED WANTING TO BID.

I WASTED MY ENTIRE NIGHT FOR AN ESTIMATE. THIS HAPPENED TWICE AND I NEVER RECEIVED THE ESTIMATE. WHAT I WOULD SEE IS A CONTRACTOR WHO WILL BE STRAIGHT WITH ME, I.E. IF THEY CAN NOT DO THE WORK JUST TELL ME AND DO NOT WASTE MY TIME.

WE HAVE NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR THIS COMPANY'S WORK AT OUR HOUSE. TRACY PUMPER COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE RESPONSIVE TO ALL OF OUR CALLS, QUESTIONS, AND REQUESTS, AND THE WORK WAS DONE WELL AND ON TIME. HE ALSO MADE VERY HELPFUL RECOMMENDATIONS, SOME OF WHICH MAY HAVE REDUCED THE SIZE AND THEREFORE THE COST OF THE JOB. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

THERE WERE QUITE A FEW COMMENTS WITH NO SHOWS ON THIS COMPANY, BUT I FIGURED I WOULD AT LEAST TRY HIM, BECAUSE HE WAS THE CLOSEST. A CO-WORKER SAID HIS NEIGHBOR DID TAPING, SO I HIRED HIM.

HE DIDN'T WANT TO REMOVE THE CONCRETE STOOP AND SAID HE'D PREFER MAKING A 3'X 8' FOOT STOOP, (BOARDS COME IN 8' LENGTHS), TO REDUCE LABOR. YET HE SAID THE JOB WOULD COST A LOT BECAUSE WOOD HAS GONE UP IN PRICE. WE EXPRESSED OUR SURPRISE. HE SAID HE'D DONE A JOB IN HIGHLAND, (WE LIVE IN MAC-GROVELAND). WHEN WE ASKED WHERE, HE GAVE US AN ADDRESS NORTH OF MARSHALL, COULD BE HE WAS CONFUSED ABOUT THE CITY'S COMMUNITIES. THE UPSHOT IS, HE NEVER PUT AN ESTIMATE IN THE MAIL AS PROMISED. WE ARE DISAPPOINTED THAT AFTER SPENDING QUITE AN AMOUNT OF TIME DISCUSSING OUR PROJECT, HE DECIDED NOT TO SEND AN ESTIMATE.

I NEVER RECEIVED THE ESTIMATE AND THIS WAS 3 WEEKS AGO. WHEN I CALLED TO GET THE ESTIMATE THEY WERE JOHNNY ON THE SPOT. AS FAR AS FOLLOW UP,IT IS LOUSY.

THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK TO SET UP A TIME BUT NEVER DID.

MY JOB WAS ABOUT A $15,000 JOB - NOT HUGE BUT NOT INSIGNIFICANT EITHER. TRACY SEEMS SINCERE BUT THE LACK OF RESPONSE -- AND WORSE, THE REPEATED PROMISE THAT 'TOMORROW' HE WOULD GIVE ME A BID -- WHICH NEVER ARRIVED, BROUGHT ME BACK TO THE STEREOTYPES OF UNTRUSTWORTHY CONTRACTORS.

A REPRESENTATIVE CAME OVER TO EXAMINE THE EXTENT OF OUR WORK FOR DRYWALL AND OTHER CARPENTRY WORK. HE SAID HE WOULD SEND AN ESTIMATE AND NEVER DID DISPITE MY REPEATED PHONE CALLS.

THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY TO WORK WITH AND ALWAYS PAID ATTENTION TO WHAT I SAID, QUESTIONS I ASKED, AND SUGGESTIONS I MADE.

TRACY PUMPER WAS VERY TRUSTWORTHY AND HAD A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF OPTIONS FOR MY PROJECTS. HE WELCOMED QUESTIONS AND WAS VERY RESPONSIVE.

DIDNT SHOW FOR APPOINTMENT; NO CALL BACK.

THEY WERE ON TIME, WORKED QUICKLY, LEFT NO MESS AND WERE VERY PLEASANT.
