On June 27, 2014 I discovered about 2 inches of water in my partially finished basement. I called a different company and was told that due to the extensive flooding in Minnesota they would not be able to respond to my needs until the second week in July. They suggested that I use a wet vac to get out as much water as I could. After trying this for about 2 hours I acknowledged to myself that I was not making adequate progress and searched the internet for other company options. I knew I had seen advertising for another company but could not remember the name. The internet search lead me to that company - ServPro. I called and spoke with Autumn, she asked if I had called my insurance company; I had not even thought about doing that. She took my initial information and suggested that I call them; meanwhile she would check when a team might be available. When we spoke again I was told there was a team available now and they could head right over. In less than 1 hour from my initial call a team of 6 people was here; the team leader (Brian) assessed the situation, estimated the cost would be between $1,000 and $2,000, and everyone began working. They moved the dry and wet items to the different areas that I had designated. Base boards were removed and the water was suctioned out to the truck, a germicide was applied. Fans and dehumidifiers were strategically placed for good air circulation to begin the drying process. I was provided with the name of the person who would be doing the follow up visits over the weekend. Ross came out Saturday, Sunday and Monday and kept me appraised of the progress. After doing his testing on Monday it was determined that the basement was dry and the equipment was removed. From the initial phone contact to the final visit today everyone has been very helpful, informative, efficient and professional. I would definitely use this company again.
