Sedgwick Heating & Air Conditioning

The sales person was extremely pushy. He was a hard sale. We were expressing that we needed to shop around. He would not take no for an answer. It became quite uncomfortable. He said he would follow up with us and never did.

It went very well. Wayne (I believe) was out front at 5 minutes before scheduled time, ready to go. Very professional and informative. Showed me what was wrong, and what it would cost. Time spent was short. He solved the problem and installed the new part within an hour total time. Let me know that the filters I was using in the home were very restrictive for airflow (wife has asthma), but would be fine as long as I kept replacing them often and did not go to a more restrictive type (something I had considered). I was satisfied with the entire process. They even offered to come out the day we called for appointment, but we could not be home at that time. The service was performed the following day.

We had the nicest people who didn't try to sell their company. We needed some duct work down there too because I didn't want my sick husband doing this. But the guy let us know that it'd save us 500 dollars if my husband did it instead. They are very good and honest. Everything is within Sedgwick.

Fantastic experience with Sedgwick. They came out to our house quickly for an estimate and the work was quickly after. Will definitely refer to others.

The tech was extremely courteous and friendly. Great guy and initial representation of the company. The techs put "booties" over there shoes so they don't soil your carpet. Nice touch

As far as replacement, we just had to buy a new furnace. Their service was below average. They did a lot of duct work that was not sealed up properly. Some of the routes that they chose to put in the duct work were questionable because we didn't have very efficient heating circulation in the house. It was not really the happiest job. They put in a chimney liner that fell apart inside the chimney. They didn't do a very good job.

The experience with Sedgwick was very positive in all aspects. The representative that surveyed the home was professional and able to answer all questions that arose during the survey and provided technical information on all options so that we could evaluate a best solution. During the down select process they answered questions that arose during the evaluation and provided additional information on other questions that assisted in the selection of their services. The pricing of the furnace and air conditioning were slightly higher then other vendors with the same models and other vendors similar equipment, but the bottom line ended up to be lower overall with the inclusion of a digital thermostat, media filter and humidifier included in the final price. At the time of installation, the crew was on time and did a fantastic job of removing and replacing the old system. The process was completed with no mess, and a nice quiet and clean system functioning at the level expected. The installation people spent time instructing us on operation of the system and provided all the documentation for all items installed. This has to be one of the best home improvement efforts ever.

The experience was excellent. When I had the job done we talked about having the A/C hose going in the rafters. He forgot to put that on the work order, and I showed him the problem. They fixed the problem right then and there.

They did a tremendous job. They also came in $7000 below the other bids. It was a huge job. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They got here at 8:30 and they were done by 11:00.

This was a huge job, involving every room in our house. They were neat, polite and patient through out the whole process. They did a really good job of estimating what we needed. We had a couple of weird things happen afterwards and they were out here in a flash to take care of them! They did an excellent job.

They did a good job. The price included is for 2 separate furnaces and 1 AC.

We have been very satisfied with them. When we've had problems they've come promptly to fix it. They have always come when they said they would. My general impression of the price is that it's decent.

Received a flyer advertising $1500 off new furnace and a/c plus a $25 gift card for setting up an appointment. I made the appointment and the salesman came out. I signed the contract that evening to install a new furnace and a/c and to clean the duct work. Two days later the estimator took the measurements. Two days after that they installed the furnace and a/c. That took about 8 hours. I am not sure that they attached the new furnace to the existing gas lines in a very "clean" manner - there seems to be a lot more piping and cords than there was previously. The water pump is just sitting on the floor. My old one was actually attached to the furnace. I am not please with the work done to clean the duct work that was completed the next day. The floor in the basement was left with bits and pieces of "stuff" laying all over. A carpet remnant that covered part of the floor was damaged. Very sloppy. Also had to remind them to send me the gift card.

Brad came out to look at the furnace and discovered the flame sensor needed to be cleaned and that this was causing the igniter to fail. He cleaned the sensor and replaced the igniter. We have a five year warranty on the parts and labor (not including cleaning) so it was a little surprising to be charged a diagnostic fee to come and look at the furnace.

Various different crew members arrived at different times during the installation. At one time, there were three different Sedgwick vans in front of my house. They did the entire removal and installation in less than 6 hours, including the time to teach me how to use the new system. Every single one of the employees were professional and pleasant. This is the type of company one wants in one's home.

I feel that they were a little overpriced and they did what I call a 'rush sell' to get me to buy from them quickly. I don't like this technique they use and I felt it was a little devious. I also feel the clarity of the product being offered is very poor but, I would consider maybe using them in the future.

The Sedgwick sales rep, installation, cleaning and repair professionals were experienced, skilled, pleasant and neat. A few days after the initial work was done, the igniter on our furnace failed while painters were working in our house and we were out of town. Based on our positive experience with Sedgwick a few days before, I was confident calling them to come in while we were gone. LaDonna arranged the service call late on a sub-zero Saturday afternoon. Brad came in early evening, did the work, called us in Wisconsin to report, locked up and left the key in a secure place. This was a high level of service from a company that I had not used before. They also offered promotions (a gift card) and honored a web-page discount coupon for the repair.

Enjoyed meeting Mike - he was quick to respond to my initial call and provided us with a competitive bid while still at our house. He explained his process was that he and a foreman would return to the house when we sign their contract. My husband and I decided that we'd prefer to have the second visit prior to committing to Sedgwick. We wanted to know exactly what we'd be getting. Unfortunately it didn't seem like Sedgwick really wanted our business. Mike gave me a hard time about requesting a visit prior to signing their contract and asked if I would commit to go with them if they came out and said the right things. Honestly, I was completely turned off they wouldn't willingly come back out to our house to confirm the initial bid and make sure we fully understood what we would get. After a tenuous conversation, he said he would see what strings he could pull to go around the process. 4 days later he called to give me an appt. 2 days later we decided to go w/ another vendor. ($14,000

The technician was on time, and performed the work as requested, and did not exceed the estimate. I appreciated that he had booties to wear over his shoes, which protected my floors. He did a good job of cleaning up after himself.

Seemed very thorough but didn't do anything since unit is in good shape.

Excellent work. Our furnace broke down and we had a new one within 2 days.

They came when they said they would and charged what they said they would. They explained what they were doing, and everything works the way it is supposed to.

All of the staff, from phone people to schedulers to the technicians, are friendly and courteous. The technicians work efficiently, explain all work and arrive when they say they will. They apply booties to keep our floors clean and clean up after themselves. This visit was a heating tune up and he explained what he did and provided an estimate for air duct cleaning that will be completed at a later date.

I thought the price was high, I was expecting around $6,000 when checking the internet. The sales representative did not give a reason why the price was high. I said I needed to get other estimates. He immediately gave me a company I should call to get an estimate. This company he gave me is the company I will no longer do business with once I got a bill from them twice the amount several other companies later quoted me for the 30 minute job. Not to mention that I was on this company perferred customer list. I told the sales representative the companies I would be asking, and he did not think they would be a good choice and gave me an alternated company to try. I knew this other company he gave me would give a high quote. I picked this company because a friend at work also had the bad company I switched from and started doing business here and they seemed fair. I did not go with them because I had 4 other companies give me a quote $3,000 less and 3 of these were rated A and A on Angies list.

The sales representative was helpful. We know the company has a good reputation. He was going to get some additional answers to questions we had. The price quoted was higher than our other two quotes. We had an immediate need to have our air conditioning system replaced due to water leakage and we hired another company when we didn't hear back from him immediately. He did call back after we had already had a new system installed.
