Everything was handled very professionally. John, the estimator came on time and made sure we got only what we needed. The installation was scheduled at my convenience and Thomas showed up on time. He addressed all of our concerns and questions and began the work after laying down protective mats. He and Scott knew exactly what they were doing, so there were no surprises. It was about a thousand degrees outside that day and we had two power failures but they kept working the whole time. Sedgwick obviously cares about their workers because they supplied them Gator aid to protect their health. They also drive really nice company trucks and that gives you the feeling that you are dealing with a real company. Everything about the new machines was explained to us as much as we could deal with. The new machines are so much quieter than our old ones and we are very happy with them. The next day, we heard a noise or two that concerned us. I called Sedgwick and they sent someone out right away to check. Everything seems to be normal and again, we are happy. The other estimates that we got from other companies were almost identical to Sedgwick but we chose Sedgwick because they felt like the most professional company and I liked John the estimator better than the others. I feel that if you are going to put money in someone's pocket, you should at least like them. The workers cleaned up after themselves and left us in good shape. Thanks Sedgwick.

Very good experience from start to finish. Larry did a comprehensive evaluation of our home prior to providing us with an estimate, while salespeople from other companies just did a quick look around. He was very professional and clear, and we were able to negotiate a slightly lower price based on some quotes we had gotten from other companies. The installers were punctual (even a little early) and professional. They did a nice job of protecting the home, cleaned up after themselves, and explained how everything worked before leaving. Sedgwick filed all rebates for us and gave us clear documentation of the work they had performed and which we needed to register the products online for an extended warranty. All in all, it was a very good experience and the excellent service more than made up for a slightly higher cost.

They did great work. The job turned out alright. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Dan, the sales rep, gave good information and without high-pressure sales tactics. Price was not low, but not unreasonable either and they were willing to give me a good deal. The Sedgwick installation team was very professional and courteous overall. Only one subcontractor for plumbing did not deliver clean work. Otherwise everybody involved on the installation team was very good. Adam, the lead installer was willing to make modifications as needed on the fly - I'm very impressed with his expertise. The final job looks, feels, and works very well. In hindsight I might have preferred a higher-end unit for both furnace and water heater since I feel they are on the noisy side, but not worse than most units out there. All responses, whether for sales, install, or service have been prompt, on-time and handled professionally. I would most certainly choose Sedgwick again because they delivered on practically everything.

We contacted Sedgwick after being told that our furnace was having issues due to our vents and ducts being inadequately sized. We wanted a 2nd opinion because the error I was seeing seemed inconsistent with air flow. The duct specialist came out and was well equipped to verify that we didn't need to redo our ducts or anything like that. Based on the errors and problems, he wondered if it was a control board/zoning issue or a fan issue. He immediately got a technician out who verified the zones were ok. The problem we have is intermittent. Working with Sedgwick, we have been able to determine that for some reason the fan is not turning on within a specified period -- therefore the furnace overheats as it is trying to warm the house up. Sedgwick (at no cost to us) has sent technicans and worked to get someone to our house right away (they were willing to schedule us first thing in the morning.) The issue hasn't been fully resolved but their responsiveness (we didn't get the furnace installed through them but they are working with the manufacturer to cover our parts.) We now suspect we have a lemon furnace and they are working with us on replacing it. Will let you know if that goes well or not but as of right now, I am certainly willing to pay for experts who have the right equipment to make certain unnecessary things do not happen.

It is working fine. I would recommend them for service. We have had a maintenance agreement with them to service the air conditioner in the spring and the furnace in the fall - it is a service contract. I will be using them.

They installed our heating and cooling system 10 years ago and do the maintenance work on it. They are knowledgeable and I feel comfortable with them. They have a pretty good name and I am pleased with them. Their price is high.

I wanted to know if they would honor my service plan in my old house. I had been trying to get hold of them for forever but I wasn’t getting phone calls returned and no one knew what I was talking about. Apparently the company was recently sold and I got stuck in the transition. I wasn’t getting a response and I finally got it taken care of but I was disappointed at how long it took them to get it done. They said they would honor the tune-up but they would come back when it got cold. In the mean time, our AC wasn’t working so we called them out. They were quick, professional, and courteous, but I felt like the price was absolutely ridiculous. When they did our furnace and AC the sales guy was nice, he wasn’t pushy, and he was knowledgeable. The men that have come out have been neat and clean, they have been fast, they haven’t left a mess, they haven’t leave anything undone, and they have been thorough. I like the company but I haven’t liked these last few experiences. I probably won't use them again.

From beginning to end my experience was exceptional. My husband and I met with Dan Paul, the sales rep and was immediately impressed with his courteous and non pushy approach. He had great product knowledge and didn't push for the upgrade. His follow through on the job was perfect. Also, he spoke to both of us. Not just the man of the house. How refreshing! The installers were prompt,friendly with clean shirts with clear identification. They were quick and professional. We are very happy and have used them for years because they are simply the best.

One important thing to note is that you have to take off half of day (at least) to have this company come out and service you. They don't give exact appt times but like the cable companies, give you a "8-12noon" type of slot. This company has been unreliable on two of three occasions that I have used them. They told me at 7am the day of a service call that their technician was ill (it was Dec 23, so I rather doubted it). After clearing my schedule for the day, that was exceptionally irritating. Now again I tried to use them, and they "tried" to contact me but there was "no answer." Which is odd because my phone was ringing from others all morning. So after sitting at home for 5 hours, they told me that they will have to send someone else out -- in an hour. Riduclous. One other important thing to note is that when they came out the first time to service my A/C unit, they misdiagnosed the problem and installed a new device that apparently they realized later that wasn't needed. Management told the technician to take back the device and put in the old one, which already is bad, but that wasn't possible -- so later I got a call from management because they wanted me to split the cost of the new device with them. They claimed because I didn't need the new device that I should somehow go in on the cost with them. Telling me how their company is losing money because of the recession, and so on. (Like customers aren't suffering too!) That is literally outrageous and I should have called the Better Business Bureau on them but probably wiser to tell other potential customers on angieslist.com. I didn't give in to their pressuring, but I lost a lot of faith in that company with that move. It was despicable and frankly, every time I give them another chance, they disappoint.

Very well. Some minor glitches which were compensated for by extending a yearly service agreement.

After having the initial estimate, Jerry and Ken came out to do the work. They had not been informed that the my roof was really steep and high, and did not have the right equipment, therefore they asked to reschedule. They explained they could probably have done it but wanted to ensure that the job was done safely and correctly the first time. Ken and Jerry came back the following week and did the job. It seemed more challenging than expected, but the liner was installed without any major issues. They were very professional, clean, and honest guys. I would recommend them without hesitation. Paul

Arrived on-time, went to work right away. Provided information about the age of furnace and what to look for. I purchased the service plan so they will come out in the spring to inspect/clean the AC unit.

Sedgwick provided good service to us. The service representative arrived as scheduled and on time. He was well-mannered and went about his work on the tune-up. He provided additional information on maintenance and in the course of his inspection noticed that we could run the risk of our flame sensor not performing as it should. He recommended installation of a reconditioning package which would replace the flame sensor and related parts (our furnace is 10+). This recommendation was offered in good faith as insurance against a potential failure during the upcoming winter season. Due to the age of our furnace, and the fact that this had not been mentioned to us in any prior tune-ups, we determined that it was likely necessary and would be a smart thing to do. He answered our questions on the furnace and our questions on CO2 detectors. All went well. The grade of "B" (=Good) for price is only because price is a difficult thing to score. Sedgwick's tune-up prices are a bit higher than some companies, but competitive with them with purchase of one of their service plan specials or with use of a coupon. We would place emphasis on the quality score because we think we received quality service for the price that we paid.

We discovered a gas smell in our basement. Within hours, Sedgwick was at hour door. They zeroed in on the leak, repaired it and inspected the rest of our heating system while the leak repair dried. They discovered 4 large cracks in our heating exchange. The gentleman educated us quickly on frequency of this problem, age of our heater and all of our options. He also had to shut the furnace off (dead of winter). What could have felt like a crisis, felt like a win for us. This problem was deadly and we quickly opted for a new furnace. The salesman was at our home within an hour and very professionally walked us through our heating options. While we made decisions, he was in contact with his company and they cut parts accordining to his measurements right over the phone. He left us with two heating units and an assurance that his team would be at our home with a new heater sized for our situation by 7am the next morning (new year's eve). They were spot on, professional and the entire unit was operational within hours. The entire "disaster" was solved in less than 24 hours. Because of their knowledge of the hardware, ability to communicate and resources....we are ALIVE and warm. We couldn't be more pleased.

Their work was excellent! We haven't had any trouble with our furnace since. The technician was wonderful, he took the time to explain everything in detail. We requested he come back specifically for the second visit, which the company didn't hesitate to do.

They're always on time. They are knoweldgable. It's easy to schedule with them. I've just been very happy with them. I do know they are less then going with a few other companies, thats why I started using them.

My overall experience with them was great. They even gave us a lunch box worth $3500 and a couple of glasses as gifts.

What happened to Sedgwick? Their website doesn't exist anymore.

They were real professional and I would use them again in the future.

There was rusty water leaking all around our central air unit inside the house and dripping into the furnace. I placed a service request by web on a Saturday afternoon and was stunned when I got a call back within 5 minutes of placing my request over the web! I told them it wasn't an emergency but I appreciated their speedy response. The technician arrived that following Monday exactly when he said he would. Our A/C drip pan was rusting out and the line from it was clogged with rusty gunk. He cleared out the gunk and checked the furnace to make sure there wasn't any damage. Our furnace and A/C are 25+ years old so he suggested that we might want to start thinking about getting it replaced -- but he wasn't pushy about it. The only thing that wasn't completely satisfactory is there was supposed to be a $25 dollar discount for 1st time service if service request was placed over the web -- the bill did not reflect this -- BUT I can't complain too much because when I called Sedgwick's about this they promptly refunded my money. Thank you.

They always call and remind us when it is time for our maintenance and they come out right away when there is any issue. They have been real good and I never have any problems with them. Their price is pretty reasonable. I would continue using them.

I have been using them for just a year and am very happy with their work. They came out and gave me an estimate for the work. When they came to work they made sure to take precautionary measures to keep the place clean. They wore gloves, masks and also gave me a mask to make sure I am safe. They were just professional from start to finish and I was very, very impressed. I was also able to qualify for the energy credit after they installed the new furnace. It was a phenomenal experience.

They came out right on time and they gave us a good quote. They did all of the work in the time frame that they estimated. Everything worked out okay with the project. I give them all A's for their service.
