Junk Happens

I called after seeing a deal posted for Angie's List members and spoke to Chris(sp?) and made an appointment for the next day. She was very helpful and friendly on the phone. The 2 guys (Josh and Dave) who showed up were friendly and helpful. They worked fast and removed everything without any difficulty. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend Junk Happens to everyone. I will make sure to spread the word about these guys.

They removed everything I wanted to get rid of in the estate house, including, but not limited to, metal furniture in the basement, a computer monitor, yard waste, shredding, etc., and they were professional and efficient.

AWESOME! A+ Service. Would highly recommend! They even swept up the area where I had all the debris...which was totally unexpected.

Josh and Dave did the work; they arrived on time and worked very efficiently. I had purchased a Big Deal for $89, but had more than the 1/4 truckload, so paid an additional $42 (plus $30 in recycling fees for a computer monitor and the freezer). I had forgotten about all the pavers when they came, so had to call them shortly after they left and ask them to return. They did so within 30 minutes and finished up the job.

It was easy setting up the appointment time and getting an estimate over the phone. Only one person showed up to do the move and he explained to me his partner was called away on a family emergency. He was able to move all the pieces (even down a half flight of stairs) all by himself. He didn't bang up the walls or doors or anything. Very efficient and friendly. I would definitely use them again.

I got through to a "live" person" the first time I called, received a quick overview of pricing, set a firm price, and scheduled for the next day. The haulers very personable as well as professional.

It went well overall. I had to clean up some items from my own town house and wanted them removed from my property. My mother's town house, which was put up for sale, was also full of items that I could not use but perhaps some one else could. So I collected everything together, putting nonbreakables in big plastic bags and packing the glassware more carefully so as not to break anything. Then I chose to use the Big Deal from Angie's list to have everything hauled from my home, and sure took a load off my mind after it was done.

They did a great job! Very professional and helpful. We'd use them again.

It took them a little while to respond to the the Big Deal coupon purchase, but once they contacted me it was simple and easy to schedule a pickup. When I called to schedule the pickup they asked about the juck I was planning on having hauled. They told me at that time the projection TV would be an extra charge. They called ahead on the day of pickup and asked if they could come earlier than scheduled since their preceding appointment was closer than the dispatcher had anticipated. Since it was okay with me to come early it worked out well, however, I don't know what would have happened if I had told them that they needed to come at the scheduled time

They came on time and were very professional. I thought the price was pretty high for what they did but I was okay because the service was so good.

EXCEPTIONAL service provider! I love that the company is locally owned. Better yet, they don't put the junk collected in landfills, but instead partner with organizations to re-use and recycle as much material as possible. Best of all, the team I worked with - Chris in the office, Josh and Bob doing the actual collection - were fantastic. We used them twice in the process of getting our home ready for sale. We appreciated the way they operate: They do a free, on-site estimate of the hauling cost, and, assuming, the client is comfortable with the estimate, haul the stuff away on the spot. I found them very cost-efficient. I had very specific requirements for the second time we used them - they needed to collect a full truck-load of stuff first thing in the morning so we could close on the house they were hauling junk out of at 10 a.m.! Josh and Bob were prompt, cheerful, calm and matter-of-fact -- all of which was very much appreciated, since my husband and I were operating more on the cranky-and-hysterical end of the scale. They took care of everything we asked for, and even swept out the garage for us before leaving. Do yourself a favor and hire Junk Happens whenever you need anything hauled away. I can't recommend them highly enough.

This was the second $89 Big Deal we have purchased for Junk Happens. They have been great! Very responsive, punctual and friendly.Would definitely use them again.

When we contracted for the service the only fees we were told about was the $89.00 hauling fee. When we scheduled the service we were told that there were additional fees for hauling and disposing of some types of junk. We did not have a "full load" and the good deal we thought we were getting was not such a good deal. In all fairness, the driver who picked up our junk was very professional and courteous. I notice the ad was changed to include additional fees for certain types of junk. I understand the additional fees but was not happy it was not specified in the original ad and we ended up payiing for something we had not expected when we bought the service.

Very helpful. Very fast. Very courteous. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Knowing that I was on a tight schedule, they called to let me know they could make it earlier. They pulled up, got right to work, and were done in good time!

I called to schedule the service, and was given a 1 hour time range and a quote. They arrived a few minutes early, and offered to remove their shoes before walking into the house to remove the sleeper sofa. The price was exactly the amount quoted, and the job was completed quickly and efficiently.

They were scheduled to be there between 8:30 and 9. They showed up at 8:40 and were ready to load. After all of the things that I had to have moved were loaded, I asked if there was enough room in the quote I was given to take an old roll of carpet and there was no problem with it. I was charged exactly what was quoted. I feel that by having everything in the garage and ready to go, and having received a quote over the phone (I knew what I wanted to spend, and made loading as easy as I could) they really pushed the "half a truck full" price as far as possible. I would use them again.

They did a great job fitting in as much as possible in the truck. I can't say enough how much their work was appreciated. They came on time and loaded up efficiently. They even sweeped the garage. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and probably will. I'm telling all my friends about Junk Happens.

We initially got an immediate response to our inquiry regarding removing the hot tub. I was told that the electrical connections needed to be disconnected before the hot tub could be removed. He explained the process and told me to contact them after the electrical connnections were disconnected. We had an electrician come and unhook all the electrical connections. I sent 3 e-mails to the company and left a voice mail. There was no response from the company. We did not use them.

Went well. They did have remove the sliding glass door so they could get it out of the basement. I was a little worried about that but they put it back promptly.

Everyone, from the initial call to the last bag of sheetrock was loaded, was very nice and professional. I especially like that this company keeps as much as they can out of landfills.

The scheduling and service were prompt and happened just when they were supposed to.
