Junk Happens

Was notified by the company and asked to schedule a pickup date. Confirmed the date the day before then again the morning of. Two trucks arrived, separated the junk by recycle or not, then loaded all undesired material. Process took less than 30 minutes. Both workers were polite and efficient.

Excellent. They did a great job

My appointment time was between 8:00 - 8:30. At 8:00 the driver called to advise me they were in heavy traffic but were on their way. They arrived @ 8:30. They were very professional and respectful. After loading my "junk", we went to my son's for the freezer. They had to remove the freezer door in order for it to fit through the door. It was in a walk-out basement and they needed to carry it up an incline. It was raining that day and there was not one complaint from either one.

Unfortunately their regular truck broke down an were forced to use a truck not well suited for the tasks required. I had to call to get a time as to when the driver would show up only to find out he was running late because of the equipment braked own. When the drive showed up he was very apologetic for being behind and the equipment. When I showed him what was to go he explained some of the items had a charge. I was not aware of the added fee and apparently I missed it in the fine print of the Angie's List offer ( or I didn't miss it and I I don't think i did). I paid the additional fees and the garage is now emptier:-).

We had everything ready in the garage. They came on time and grabbed everything pretty quickly. We had wood from a renovation, electronics, carpet, and misc trash. It does cost some more than if you do everything yourself. It cost even a little more than I expected too. However, you pay for convenience. It felt VERY good to finally get rid of everything!

Excellent! Dave & his crew were extremely flexible from the start. They removed what ended up being eight truck loads of old belongings from my mother in-laws house. We had no idea it would take that many trips/loads but Dave and his crew provided excellent communication throughout the process and even after it was complete. We will be calling Dave to remove some stuff from our basement this week.

I called right before the the deal was to expire. They were very considerate and arranged a day and time after the expiration date. The employee called to report the time they would be arriving. I am so happy with this service and will definitely use them again.

Josh and Dan were prompt and courteous. They even swept up after themselves. Saved money over using my regular garbage service.

There was a miscommunication about time of pick up, due to the illness of the office coordinator, but they made every effort to straighten things out and were here within a reasonable amout of time.

Job went very well. The crew that did the work were punctual, polite and cleaned up the area more than I expected. Timing of the job changed a little but they kept us up to date on the changes and fully met our expectations.

The service was wonderful and prompt. The people both when I called and received service, were nice and helpful.

We contracted with them to pick up items at our home and at our church. When they arrived (a bit late because the previous stop took longer than expected) since we only had three items which did not take up the allotted space, they used the remaining space for our stop to house additional items from the church. They were courteous and very efficient. The young lady who made the arrangements was accommodating and understood what we were trying to do. The items from our church were collected efficiently and taken away. They were housed in the basement of the church and they had no problem going down stairs and bringing them up to the truck. We would definitely use them again.

I plan to use this company again. When I called to set up the appointment, the woman I spoke with was very helpful and very clear about the surcharges for electronic items. The driver called when he was on his way to my house. The two men were both friendly, did the work quickly and were on their way.

They did a great job of estimating the mound of junk in my garage to haul away (very reasonable if you ask me). The guys that performed the service were incredibly professional and great to work with. They even swept-up the garage where the junk had been located. I will definitely use Junk Happens again in the future.

We received a call ahead of time when they were on their way and they showed up right at the specified appointment time. Bob and his helper worked quickly to get the junk into their truck. They swept up everything and left our garage in great shape.

We all had to play it by ear when there was a traffic jam in my short driveway, but when the Junk Happens crew arrived they checked in and helped me to gather all of the things that needed to go with them, working around the construction crew. They were very professional, and quickly loaded up the truck. I will definitely be calling them again, although I hope it's not an emergency next time!

I used an Angie's List Deal for this service. They offered a really good deal on hauling away junk. They were incredibly responsive to all my questions, were flexible in scheduling and did a very professional, speedy removal of all the stuff I wanted them to take away. They were even willing to move some furniture around for me. I wanted a quote on moving a larger piece of furniture to my garage and the owner followed up that same day with a very reasonable quote.

Great experience. Showed up when they said (and called ahead), It was the Owner doing the run and he was friendly, professional and exceeded my expectations. Quickly loaded up the items and even swept my garage when he was finished.

Overall, it went very well. I'm so happy that my "collection" of junk is out of here! The 2 people hauling were very efficient and courteous. I couldn't believe how quickly they had everything in the truck and ready to go. They took a variety of items, which really made it nice! From the beginning of the contact, I was told exactly what would be included, for ex., that there are extra costs for some items, like TVs. I did already know that would probably be the case, but it was nice that all of that was explained when I first called to set up the appointment. We did have 1 appointment set up, but one of their trucks broke down, so a different appointment was set up. Obviously, their truck breaking down was not their fault and it actually worked out better for me! This gave me a bit more time to organize my junk, plus they made it up to me. They are very clear that they want repeat business, and they put a great deal of effort into that. I would definitely use them again (hopefully I won't have to, but if need be, would!). I was impressed with everyone from the person scheduling to the actual people hauling. I had an excellent experience with them and will definitely reccommend them to anyone I hear of that wants to get rid of junk!

It went really well. They arrived on time, got the job done really fast. It's helpful to know the hauling fee includes labor. We were really satisfied and would use them again.

A great experience. This company charges not for their labor, but for the volume of junk that takes up space in their truck. We are cleaning out a home, getting ready to sell it. We originally just wanted to get the big pices of furnituere out ~ old Tvs, fridge, a desk, tables ~ about a half a truck. Given the amount of other junk we had from the house, we figured we'd fill a truck and then some. The guys worked very hard from the moment they got here. They carried a very old heavy fridge and freezer from the basement, carried two large old TVs, and assorted furniture. For the big items they even had to remove doors. They did it all with good cheer and tremendous energy! They were very respectful of the rest of the house and took their shoes off, never dented any walls. They consistently looked for ways to pack the truck even tighter since we were going to be charged for a full truckload. They didn't waste an inch and even stopped to help a scrapper put some of the metal into his truck, freeing up more room in ours! By the end Josh was sitting on top of the full truckload of junk and his partner Ben was throwing more junk up to him to make sure we used all available space. The nice thing about the way they dispose of junk is they use what they can, recycle whenever possible and burn the rest, so it does not go into a landfill. There are small additional charges for the TVs and freezers and some hazardous chemicals because they have to pay these fees themselves when they dispose of these items. The only problem was we had an appointment set for 8:30 and they did not show until 11:00. I'm sure this is the scheduler's error, not the guys. The guys couldn't be more hardworking, polite or gracious.

They were nice guys who worked hard and worked fast. They did a nice job.

They came the same day I called and were done in less than an hour. Fast, pleasant, thorough and professional.

I made the appointment over the phone. I got a call back the day of the initial appoinment asking if they could reschedule because the person ahead of me had more junk than initially expected and the load was filled up. I had no problem with that, and they showed up as rescheduled . They were efficient and willing workers. It went very well and the price, per Angie's list deal, was excellent.

They showed up right on time and were very helpful and efficient. Couldn't have hoped for a better experience.
