Junk Happens

Went very well, they showed up on time and it took about 10-15 minutes to take it all away.

The two men came to our home and hauled several items out of our basement and then loaded them into the truck. They also took several items from our garage to recycle and disposed of the other items that could not be recycled. We were VERY SATISFIED with their services and would highly recommend them to all of our family and friends. We will definitely use them again in the future.

This was my second experience hiring the Junk Happens crew, and they still amaze me with their vigor, professionalism and skill! My neighbor needed to get rid of an old upright piano that no longer works, and I needed to free up space taken by a late-model Roland electronic piano that I rarely used. Both pianos were bulky and heavy, but these workers tackled the job with aplomb. In no time flat, my space was cleared, my neighbor had her new space-saving electronic piano so that her 3-year-old musically inclined child can learn to play, and both she and her musician husband can perform on a versatile, working instrument. My neighbor was so impressed with the Junk Happens crew that she requested their business card and will recommend them to other friends and neighbors. Despite the challenge of moving some bulky awkward items, the Junk Happens crew remains upbeat at all times, a trait I admire given the difficulty of their work. Getting a piano out of a house and down two sets of stairs is one thing, but hoisting it onto a big truck is something else altogether. Color me impressed and amazed!!

The job went more smoothly that I could ever have imagined, even in my wildest dreams! These workers are breathtakingly energetic! I'll be eternally grateful for their generosity, for they kindly worked longer than scheduled and hauled away vastly more stuff than I thought possible, because I kept discovering more junk while they worked. They could rightfully have asked me to schedule a later pickup date for all that "extra" junk, and I would have totally understood. I shall never forget their hardworking generosity and kindness, and in future will call on Junk Happens for all my moving and hauling needs. Energetic and eager to please, these fellows epitomize the absolute best in customer care and job performance. They're A++ in my book!

Staff very polite, timely and efficient.

I will never again spend time chopping furniture into pieces small enough to fit into my garbage can just to get by on the cheap. These guys showed up about 5 minutes EARLY, and immediately got to work, spent about 15 minutes here loading about half a truckload of junk. I was able to get rid of 6 old mattress sets and a ton of other old items for less than the garbage company would have charged for the mattresses alone. With several large, heavy items taking up space in my garage for the past few years, it is great to get rid of it all with no hassles whatsover. Also, I had them originally scheduled for a Saturday morning. On the Friday right before, after 5:00pm, I remembered the appointment, but had a kid's soccer game that had been rescheduled during that time, so no one would be home. I called, they answered (despite it being after 5:00 on a Friday) and were able to reschedule for the next Saturday. That late in the day I didn't expect them to answer the phone, much less be so accomodating when it was probably too late to schedule someone else for the time slot I had booked. Thanks

They arrived on time and worked quickly and carefully. When the amount of material exceeded their quoted limit, they suggested a fair additional price to complete the job. I was very satisfied with their service!

They had called and they were there when they said they were going to be within the time frame that we had scheduled. They did everything and even gave recommendation on the smaller TV that we have.

All was great - except that got surprised there are things they will not take (like cans of paint) and other things that they charge extra for (such as patio blocks where they wanted a couple $ each - which I then chose not to do). Still was good value and good service.

I had an old hot tub shell that had cracked and we needed to dispose of. The deal with Junk Happens was right on target for our needs, and was about 20 percent cheeper than other hauler quotes we had received.

Simple, fast, no problems. I would buy their deal again or use them as an alternative to a dumpster.

We used the coupon to get some left over "junk" out of our rental after moving. These guys were great, flexible on scheduling us in, and very fast. Would recommend again and again.

Professional and polite service. Have used them several times during the course of remodeling the home we purchased in January. They have taken away old toilets, sinks, drywall, and a variety of other miscellaneous junk. They say that they recycle everything they possibly can so that as few items end up in a landfill as possible, which was really important to me. They have been consistently great and will continue to use them versus any other junk removal service.

This is my 2nd review of Junk Happens. I used them a short while back to haul out all the junk in my house after my kids moved out. I also had a 10' x 12' unused and unwanted wood shed in my yard. They gave me a estimate that was very reasonable to demolish the shed and move it all out. I took the bid and contacted them. Their reply was timely and they honored their estimate totally. The two men, Tyler and George really got the job done. Not only were they very professional and interested in exactly what I wanted - they worked their fingers to the bone getting the job done. I was very impressed! They left my yard totally neat and picked up. They got the job done in record time! It saved me tons of work and trouble to say the least! Would I hire them again? You Betcha! This is a great outfit and totally delivers what it promises. My hat is off to Junk Happens!

They kept me aware of how much I was putting in the truck, when I reached amount for the $99.00 deal and when I reached a half load.

This is the second time I used their service within the last month. They worked with my schedule. They let me know in advance when their truck filled from someone else's pickup and they had to adjust their time of arrival at my house a bit. They are all personable and easy to work with. The cost was reasonable. I'll use them again.

They backed up.....20 min later was done loading. All i did was tell them what to take. They even swept my garage.

Were on time, and professional. The price was more than I though because you don't know how much it will be until everything is on the truck.

The quality of service was excellent. I have nothing but good to say about the crew who worked on-site. However... I'm very disappointed with the "deal" this company provides. The coupon stated that they would pick up 4.5 cubic yards of material. The fine print stated that oversize items such as pianos and washing machines would incur and extra fee. However, none of the fine print seemed to apply to my situation. When I called to schedule the pickup, I was informed that my landscaping rock, in spite of being within the 4.5 cubic yard allotment, would incur a $30-40 service fee due to the weight. Weight was not mentioned in the fine print! At this point, I had already purchased the $100 deal so I felt cornered into paying that amount. The crew arrived the following day and asked for $30. I gave it to them. They continued to work. Then halfway through the job, they came back and asked for another $50. When I asked why, they told me that the debris filled more than 25% of their truck and they had to charge me extra. I responded by saying that, "Hey, this all adds up to 4.5 cubic yards." I had personally done the math so I knew I was within the limits of the "deal" - Bagster bag (3 cu. yds.) + 20 5 gallon buckets (0.5 cubic yards). I refused to pay extra. The team agreed to "let it slide this one time." If the company needs to charge extra for such situations, it MUST be stated in the fine print of the deal. It's not good business to sell a deal for 50% off, only to charge another 40% on-site. I'm disappointed in these "surprises" and will be very hesitant to purchase another deal from this company. Please update the fine print to include your hidden fees.
