Junk Happens

We purchased a Big Deal. The scheduler was very pleasant and accommodating. Two young men arrived on time on the scheduled day. They were polite and professional. First they removed an extremely heavy organ from our basement. It was quite the task getting it into their truck, but they managed. Then they picked up several smaller items from our garage. They were very efficient, and everything went well. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Junk Happens were just fine. They were real good. They took everything that I wanted them to.

They were punctual, professional and very helpful. Will use again.

The two men jumped right to the tasks, digging a decrepit yard wagon out of the frozen leaves, hoisting an old water softener brine tank about 1/4 full of yucky salt into the truck, and collecting old carpet and pad remnants, electrical wire, and HVAC duct pieces from the basement. They even offered to wipe the tile floor when they were done!

I put out lumber, storm windows, Selectric typewriter, a formica cabinet. and other small items. In the middle of the night someone took all the windows and the metal typewriter and a neighbor threw a rusted lawn ornament in my yard. So there was just the lumber and formica cabinet and the neighbor's trash left when Junk Happens arrived the next day. Their advise was to cover everything with a tarp next time. He said metal jobbers comb the neighborhoods at night and pick up and sell the stuff. Obviously, Junk Happens, would be able to sell the metal too and help defray the costs of hauling. The other thing I learned was that they will also pick up the big bags you can buy at the hardware stores and on Amazon for (I think) about $39. Unlike many other haulers, this company will return the bag you bought. What was fantastic about this company is they use a very small truck that can easily maneuver your driveway. I gave them the exact location of where the junk would be (next to the driveway) and the guy showed up and never even rang the doorbell--just saw the junk and got to work. I noticed the truck in the driveway and the guy was almost done and couldn't have been nicer. Since I had never done this before he gave me the 101 on the process. He even raked up the area. This company is outstanding. Before I found out about this company I bought a coupon on one of those social sites. The guy was 3 hours late and the name of the company on the coupon was not the same name on the truck. It was your old bait and switch. This was supposed to be for 1/3 of a load and he said I had 1/2 of a load. (I had only put out the lumber) So he said that he wanted $50 more to pick it up. I can bet you that he would load half the stuff and then say he had to have more money. He said, "How much did you pay for the coupon...and if you don't pay the extra $50 you will lose the money on the coupon." I told him to get off my property and called the social site and told them about the con artist and was refunded the cost of the coupon. Buyer beware. This is why Angie's List pays off. It takes the "scary" out of dealing with shady characters.

All was as expected and I am happy with the service.

The only issue I had is that there was an Angie's list deal for $10 less a few weeks later.

The two Daves were fantastic! They did all of the heavy-lifting from several locations in the house and garage. They were very professional, courteous, and personable. Best yet, they swept the garage before they left. This was a wonderful experience at the end of a difficult move. I won't hesitate to recommend them. Thanks guys!!!

They did a good job. They removed everything that I needed removed. Over all, I'm satisfied with the service.

Called and was able to get an appt. for the next day. Pickup was smooth and the two guys operating the truck were professional and efficient. Would use them again.

Very smoothly. 2 super nice guys showed up and did all the lifting and moving out of my garage - I didn't have to lift a finger. They also cleaned up after they were done - thanks guys!

I had purchased a coupon for this service, the removal of junk (a quarter of a truckload). They were in the area and came out the same day that I called. They removed items and tear-off piled in front of the house as well as retrieving several items from the back yard. The two workers were very willing and friendly. I was impressed to learn that Junk Happens makes a special effort to recycle items by donating usable items to charities or by recycling metals, etc.

They were a couple of hours late because of truck mechanical troubles, but called and let me know what was going on. The two movers were efficient and courteous even though this was a big job and it was a cold day. They cleared everything out quickly and even gave me additional discounts on some electronics. It was a real lifesaver for us to get this space cleared out. Thanks!

Service was prompt and friendly. The big deal was excellent for cost, but there was an unexpected $25 charge for the single mattress and for the sofa bed mattress. Still, it was reasonable. The movers had to take things down from second floor to street level and the single mattress from the attic, but they did not complain or seen like it was an issue for them.

An Angie's List deal. Arrived on time. Very cordial. Picked up all the junk from the rear of my shed approximately 50 yards from truck. Did an excellent job. I would utilize them in the future.

Spectacular, very much worth the Big Deal price. They called when they were on their way and showed up when the said. They loaded exactly what I told them and were very clear with me about how much stuff would fit in the 1/4 truck that i paid for with the big deal. The even hauled up an old water softener from my basement. I would definitely use their service again and would recomend them to anyone needed junk hauled out of the house/garage/yard.

I called "Junk Happens" to voice my opinion that the two men were great, did great work, and represented the company very well. This was a totally enjoyable experience and I will not hesitate to use this company again. We hope they send out the same two guys!

On the day there were to arrive, I had to call and see if thry could come earlier in the day. I needed to take my husband in for an unplanned same day surgery. The prople were so accomodating. They were to my home about 45 min later. |they were very professional, curtious and kind. The best part is the junk I collected for them to take away is gone. Yea. Thanks junk guys.

Junk Happens removed some unwanted items. They came earlier than expected because the "junk" was outside and getting rained on.

The guys arrived on time and went right to work loading all the furniture I wanted picked up. They were fast, efficient, very polite and pleasant. They even took some extra stuff we hadn't told them about with no problems. I will definitely be calling them in the future if need be. Thanks guys.

After an initial issue with scheduling, the process was quite simple and pretty fast but we ended up having to pay an additional chunk of money that didn't seem to match what we were told and/or read before purchasing this deal and ended up spending much more than expected so it turned out not to be that great of a deal at all. But the man who hauled away our stuff was very nice and the process was quick and easy just way more expensive and not sure if it was worth it? But at least we got most of our garage back!

Great. 2nd time I used the service. Doing a complete bathroom remodel and they hauled away all the demo form the project.
