Junk Happens

They just left and I can't believe how professional, clean, cautious and nice they are. Quick and communicative. I just had walls painted and they were super careful. Even took shoes off until they had to walk items out to truck. I will use them again!

They showed up right on time. Hauled away wood and cleaned up area.

We had a very large kennel in the back yard from the previous owner. They took it down and the chain link fence and hauled it away. They also took away some junk in the garage. Scheduling was easy and they were able to accommodate our needs. They did a great job overall.

The guys were prompt and efficient.

I purchased a coupon in early Dec in preparation for a de-cluttering of my house. They contacted me right away to schedule and told me to let them know when I was ready. When I called back, they were out to my house within a couple of days. The guys were great! I had piles of things indoors & outdoors, and they took care of everything after I walked them around. They let me know up front about items that had an additional charge (window A/C & mattress), which I had expected after reading their website. All in all, great experience. Everything went exactly as expected, no surprises, very responsive and friendly people!

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was great. They were very punctual, responsive and did exactly as we discussed. I asked them for follow up quotes and they gave me everything I needed. They were great.

We did NOT have a good experience with this company. After I purchased this deal we never heard from the company. I had indicated in the deal we wanted the junk hauled away by a certain date. After a week I finally called them. I was told they never received a message about my purchase (they sure received my money). To make a long story short, the first appointment we made was missed. When they finally came the next day they took our couch. The way this company works is that the crew surveys your junk and determines right then and there what they will do for the money you paid. We were told they would take our pile of rocks, but they would have to come back the next day. Since the rocks were outside, we didn't need be home when they arrived. When I arrived home the next day I saw about 3/4 of the rocks were taken. When I finally got through to the company I was told we had more "junk" then they would take for the price we paid. I practically stopped her mid sentence and advised we were told it would all be gone. After a couple rounds of this she finally agreed to have the "guys" come back out and get the rest of the rocks. This did not happen for several more days. I would advise anybody looking to purchase from this company to beware. The amounts they are willing to haul away are arbitrary. Fortunately, I did have something in writing stating they would take the entire pile of rocks. This is why the woman at the company didn't have a leg to stand on.

The two employees did an excellent job. There was an old radiator, stored in the garage, that I wanted hauled away with my other junk. There wasn't room in the truck, so they came back two days later to pick it up. In general, they were prompt, respectful, got the job done, and the price was great.

Great, friendly and helpful service. I won't wait so long next time to accumulate the old junk.

OK. A pretty basic service. I had forgotten that tires were extra (and these were dumped in my yard last year - should have called the city). They were minimally communicative at the visit. They did come from a long way away - my saying I would not use them again is partially based on this - will go more local in the future

They let me know ahead of time that they were not sure of arrival time. That was fine with me - it didn't matter to me. They ended up getting there in the evening. We ended up having more to pick up that the coupon amount but the additional fee was reasonable. Two people arrived and they got to work. They were efficient. I would use them again.

I needed to call twice to reserve my appointment. When I called the 2nd time the woman was very apologetic but did state she had trouble keeping track of all the orders. The pick up people were over 2 hours late.

We demolished a bathroom. Dave came on a snowy day exactly when he said he would. He shoveled all the debris out of the garage where we had placed it and hauled it away. He cleaned up the garage - did a great job! He will do our next project.

It was done a couple weeks ago. He came 9 o clock on the dot the day after Christmas. I was so impressed that he was so prompt. I had put out some things for him to take away and he took all of them very quickly. He was very cordial and didn't charge me anything more than what I paid for and the receptionist also told me of some specials that they were running in the winter. So I was impressed of the fact that she let me know that there were some other options or me if I had other materials to haul. I was very pleased with the service. He took a lot of material and he didn't charge me any more.

The service provided to me by Junk Happens was just fine.

Overall I was pleased with Junk Happens. They removed debris from a couple of home improvement projects stored in my garage. Some of the items removed included a bathroom sink and vanity combination, drywall, and old garden planters. The workers were friendly, and efficiently removed everything in less than 45 minutes. Junk Happens no longer accepts old paint, however, they suggested a local recycling plant for environment-friendly disposal. The day of my scheduled service, I was notified by phone of a delay due to the malfunction of a truck in their fleet. The total delay was 90 minutes, therefore, I marked punctuality as fair versus good. I would not hesitate to recommend them or request future service.

My wife and I are downsizing to a new location, so we had quite a bit of "junk" to be removed from our home, mostly from the finished basement. This consisted of furniture (table, chairs, bookcases, computer desk, etc.) The two people who showed up (on time) were professional and competent. Shoes were removed to protect hardwood floors. One hauled stuff up from basement while the other kept shoes on and loaded the truck. I was warned ahead of time that the amount of stuff I wanted removed would exceed the Angie's special deal and that extra cost was estimated. I said to go ahead and all went as expected. They even carried something heavy up from the basement for me that wasn't to be removed but that I could no longer handle up the stairs. (Oh to be young again!) As you can tell from the ratings I provided I'm very pleased with the service and will definitely talk it up to my friends and recommend it highly.
