Junk Happens

The service was fine. I had a flooded room in my basement and they hauled away a bunch of things from the room. There was an additional fee because I had more than the quarter truck load included in the deal. They were a few hours late for the appointment.

They were prompt, polite and professional. I will use them again in the future.

Great service: easy to schedule, prompt, and efficient. Price was better than anyone else and the young mover guys were extremely polite and nice. I'd definitely call this company again.

This was an Angie's list big deal so the cost of service might be misleading. However, I think I could have had more items picked up and still fall into the load size for the deal. The 2 fellows that came to pick up were very polite. They called to let me know they were on the way and arrived about 15 minutes later. The scheduled time for arrival had been given as between 10:00 and 12:00 and they called to say they were on the way a few minutes after 12:00. The woman who scheduled the pick up did say they had a large job ahead of mine so I wasn't too concerned. It only took them about 20 minutes to finish my job. I would definitely use this service again. This was my second time.

They were awesome. On time, professional, good natured, even in pouring rain.

They showed up on time and gathered all the items we'd placed in the driveway for them. It was fast and simple

I used an Angie's List special. They were punctual, and the owner, Dave, and another man arrived as scheduled after a call that they were on their way, hauled away large items including ladders that they had to cut into pieces to transport, willingly retrieved the items from 3 different areas of the house and yard, and were polite and nice to do business with. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Nothing was done. No need to purchase any of these coupons in the future.

They were meet and courteous and worked hard and quickly in the heat. I did provide cold bottled water.

The folks at Junk Happens were very courteous and professional. They kept me up to date on my appointment and even called to let me know they were running late because of a previous job. They gents that picked up my stuff were very friendly and efficient. And, because the were running behind, they took two added last minute electronic items for free. Wonderful first time haul away experience. Would highly recommend!

It went awesome. The crew was friendly and professional and did a great job of getting rid of all the junk. They did a really good job of sweeping up after and left the area nice and tidy. We will be using them again soon!

When my parents moved into assisted living, all of the stuff from their house and garage and attic and basement got boxed up and moved into my garage. Once I started going through the boxes, I quickly generated so much trash that I couldn't even park my car in the garage anymore. I needed help and really couldn't wait until the regular weekly trash pickup made a dent in that pile, so I bought a coupon on Angie's List for "Junk Happens." They were very responsive and made it out to my house within a couple of days. They were right on time and did all the lifting and carrying away. I don't think they're more expensive than 1-800-GotJunk , but now that I'm more experienced with junk removal <sigh>, I would recommend saving these guys for the heavy, bulky stuff that you can't lift or fit into your own car and haul to the dump. I paid $350 for half a truckload with Junk Happens, but only $45 for three full SUV loads that I took to the dump, and dropping things off at the Washington County recycling center was completely free.

AWESOME! After a little user error and sending them to the wrong address, they showed up at our rental place and we had all of the junk moved into the garage. They took EVERYTHING, paint cans, old computers, building material, you name it. When I came back in 45 min it was GONE. Just what we wanted, and they did a fantastic job!!!! It would've cost probably 2x the amount (and a considerable amount of time) loading up the truck taking the stuff to the landfill, and sorting what goes where. They took everything and when they were gone I had an empty garage, which was exactly what we specified. We will be calling them again to clear out some old sofas and junk from our garage as well. They were fantastic and well worth the cost!

First of all, I so appreciated this service! They were very helpful over the phone and in person! I had cleaned out my parents home and garage after 53 years of lots of stuff! They saved everything! I donated, recycled, had a garage sale and kept the items that we wanted to. The rest of the "junk" needed to be thrown. I filled one side of the garage with those items. I liked "Junk Happens", because they come in one day and pick up the stuff to be thrown. My parents had a narrow driveway and I did not want a dumpster in the driveway, especially in the winter/spring months. So, it was great to have Bob and Josh come and fill the truck in no time. They appreciated that I had collected the junk items in one area. It was great to have all of the stuff hauled away, just like that.

I purchased this service through the Deals on Angie's List These guys were great They showed up in the time slot they committed to and worked hard to remove a bunch of metal and other junk I had in the garage They also removed an old exercise machine we had - very heavy and the guys moved it very carefully out of the basement and into their truck They worked hard, quickly and were very careful on our house, walls and floor I will definitely use them again the next time I have junk to remove

I checked their website to see what kinds of things they do and don't haul, and my items not being on the "Don't take" list, I filled out the form to have some landscaping rocks picked up. Instead of receiving a confirmation of the date for them to come out and give me an estimate for the haul, I received an email that read: "We usually do not handle landscaping rocks...We mainly stick to household items and appliances. We would not be cost effective for removing rocks." First of all, the landscaping rocks have already been removed from where they were around the house and are simply in a huge pile on a cement slab in my backyard. It would take them all of twenty minutes to load onto a truck. Granted, they didn't know that at the time I put in the request, but if they'd bothered to come out to give me an estimate, or even called me to discuss the job, they'd have found it out. Secondly, their website does not advertise that they "mainly stick to household items and appliances." They cite a long list of items they take, including construction debris. Additionally, they have a list of items they DO NOT take, and landscaping rocks is not on the list. Big disappointment from a company that claims to take almost every type of junk. Really feels like false advertising.

The two-man crew was on time, professional and very polite. So was the lady who arranged the appointment. They got their work done quickly, removing large boxes, bedframes and a couple of pieces of furniture. I was very pleased and am going to use them again.

I purchased a deal through Angie's List that promised the company would contact me to schedule within 48 hours. The company did not. Then I got an email from Angie's List asking whether I had been contacted and asking me to give suggested dates to schedule. I clicked the box to indicate I had not been contacted and suggested new dates. Still nothing. Now, almost a month later, I requested a refund. It is ridiculous for Angie's List to take my money and promise that the business will schedule with me promptly when that is clearly not the case. This company might be fine if you call them directly, but don't try to go through Angie's List.

We went with Junk Happens because of one of the Big Deals promotions put on by Angie's List. After purchasing 1/4 a truck for only $99, we didn't hear anything and though (oh no). We were then called by Chris who explained that the $99 Big Deal had been a far larger hit than they had expected and they were overcome with work. She then went out of her way to help up and extended the $99 dollar deal to three more trips because of her delay in contacting us in the beginning. Everything got cleaned out and we had a great experience! They are very willing to work with you, it was so refreshing to deal with someone who was willing to work for our business!

They were on time, called before they arrived, and quickly loaded everything up and hauled it off.

Junk Happens was great at communication around my pick up - Chris called before, during & after to make sure my pick up was handled right!! I will definately use them again in the future.

They were very professional and in time, and worked hard to get some large items out of very small basement spaces.
