Junk Happens

Very impressed with the courtesy of the three man crew as they cleared unwanted items from my home of over 40 years. I am pleased that my things will not be going to a landfill. Had purchased a Big Deal on Angie's List. My load slightly exceeded the purchased amount, but I felt that the extra charge was explained clearly and a good value.

Unfortunately, they never returned my phone calls despite calling both numbers listed on their profile.

TV was so big and heavy my husband had to help them get it into truck.

After getting burned by another junk removal company, I contacted Junk Happens. They responded promptly & I scheduled a pickup for 2 days later. The guys called an hour ahead of their 2 hour window, & asked if showing up 30 minutes early was OK. They took all of my stuff & took a couch from the basement that was difficult to remove. I paid with a credit card at the end. A very positive experience.

They were on time. They took the trash i had set aside- no problem.

I reviewed this provider with a very negative review which was in error. I had purchased another offer from another Junk Hauler and had a very negative experience. I mistook the request for a review of Junk Happens for this other firm. I apologize- I have nothing bad to say about Junk Happens and do not want the negative review to reflect on them at all.

We have a difficult driveway, but Junk Happens figured out how to get the stuff down the driveway and into their truck. They were very professional and worked hard. We will definitely use them again. It was a great deal for the price.

The two men were very friendly and accommodating! They took a bunch of little junk but also moved out an old mattress, took out (and then donated) a love seat and a couple of chairs, lifted a big, old TV so the TV stand could be changed out and then took away the old stand. The guys were great and we will definitely use them again. Made our lives much easier!!

They showed up when scheduled. It was pouring rain at the time, but they removed all of the ties and while I waited in the shelter of my garage.

Very professional; note there was a surcharge for the mattress and box spring. They did all the truck loading, I just pointed out what needed to go. They arrived about an hour later than their stated service window, but let me know an earlier job was taking longer than expected. I would use them again.

The Junk Happens two-man team showed up within the time span they told us, and called that day to let us know a more exact arrival time. They were cautious while backing up their truck, and mindful of our yard and buildings. They loaded our stacks of construction debris and unwanted items, sorting it into categories in the back of the truck. While they worked, on gentleman told me a bit about how they manage the recycling of items they haul away. When the truck was loaded, they swept up the small bits left on the garage floor and fetched me a receipt. I found both gentlemen friendly and efficient. We would definitely use this service in the future. It's a big relief to have those items out of my garage.

Chris, the person who did the scheduling, was so nice and helpful. She was up front about pricing - no surprises. The guys who did the work were on time, courteous and professional. Quick and easy. I will definitely use them again in the future.

The gentlemen arrived well withing the agreed upon window. I had gathered the things that I wanted them to take in the house. They got right to work and took care of everything in short order. I would use them again without hesitation.

It's crazy to me that junk removal would make me so gosh darn happy! It started the moment I called and set-up the service. Chris the scheduler was friendly, informative, and funny. Then on the agreed upon date, at the agreed upon time the crew showed up. Two positives so far, but the best is still to come. I originally thought I had about 2 loads of junk, but turns out I had 4+ loads. WHEW! Who knew?!?! The crew didn't wince when they saw all my need-to-be-gone-now junk, instead they made a plan, called for reinforcements, and got to work. They were professional, courteous, neat appearances, and everything you don't expect from a bunch of guys moving furniture, cabinets, and other well past its useful life stuff. Funny? yes. Kind? yes. Focused on work? yes. Friendly? yes. I was concerned about green disposal. I mean, why junk up the world with my junk? Dave took a significant amount of time to explain how they dispose of junk. They are great. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve used them. I had them haul away cardboard, metal, and other junk. They sent one tech, but that’s all we needed. He was able to come later in the day according to our schedule.

Setting up the service time was very easy. The company was very responsive and accomodating to my schedule. The scheduler also did a great job answering my questions about approximate amount that would be covered by the Big Deal and the types of things that were acceptable to haul away. The workers showed up at the time scheduled and were very professional.

Scheduling was easy and the team arrived promptly. Very professional, courteous and helped me determine the amount of items that could be hauled away. Cleaned up after ward. Even took an extra item at minimal and reasonable cost. Will definitely use Junk Happens again when I need to have items taken away.

It went great! I was a bit concerned at first because we had prepaid (through an Angie's List deal) for a 1/4 truck load, and when the truck arrived, there was a lot less than 1/4 of the truck left empty. But they took everything we had, piled a lot of our junk on top of other people's junk, and we were satisfied that we definitely got our money's worth. I gave a "B" for punctuality because they were later than the previously scheduled window, but they did call twice to let us know they were running behind. Fortunately we didn't have anywhere else we had to be so it worked out fine and I appreciate that they kept in touch with regard to the schedule.
