Thanks for taking the time to submit this report. We are sorry to see that for some reason you were not happy with our service. This home was a rental property and the cleaning was arranged by Renters Warehouse, not this particular Angie’s List Member that left this review. This member lives in Tennessee. We never communicated with this member prior to the cleaning, it was all handled between the Renters Warehouse Agent and our company. Prior to the cleaning we went through a very detailed list of what they wanted to have cleaned, and the Renters Warehouse Agent confirmed everything. At no point did this particular Angie’s List member every walk into the house before we cleaned it or after we cleaned it. After we did the cleaning we were contacted by this particular Angie’s List member for the first time because he said we missed “many items/areas” during the cleaning and he was not going to pay. He then conferenced in the Renters Warehouse Agent to let us know what the problem was. The Renters Warehouse Agent said overall the cleaning was “great,” they just missed the hanging lights in the kitchen. We went out that same day and dusted the lights in the kitchen because that is our guarantee, and for the record, we did miss the handing lights during the cleaning. When the owner of the property called us, he was very upset and said he was not going to pay for a “poor” cleaning and that we did a bad job! When the Agent got on the phone, and keep in mind he was standing in the house we cleaned, he said other than the hanging lights we did a great job overall. After the owner hung up the phone, the Agent called us back and said sorry about that, and that the owner is a very difficult person to work with. We think this report is not a reflection on the quality of the work we did or the fact that we stood behind our cleaning and took responsibility for missing the hanging light fixtures. Thanks for leaving this report, and for the record the cleaning was not $600.00 it was $300.00.

If a walk-through is not completed and items were missed, Details will come back when time allows to address any issues.

Description of Work: I purchased 8 hours of cleaning to help with wiping down closets, cupboards and woodwork when moving into our new home. Our movers came earlier than expected and I did some of the work myself so we could get started on unpacking. When the cleaning crew of 3 people arrived I showed them around the house and explained what I had already done. I went back to unpacking and when I checked in an hour or so later I found them cleaning the area I had already completed. I redirected them, checked in 30 minutes later and they were again cleaning out already cleaned cupboards. It was really frustrating. It became clear to me that no one in the group spoke English well enough to understand my instructions and they did not let me know that they didn't understand. I am empathetic with learning a new language and would have been happy to write down instructions or find another way to clarify, but I did not know this was needed. | |The work they did do was good, if not for the communication issues I would have hired them again. | |I called the company to follow up and let them know I was unhappy. I felt at least 2 hours should have been refunded, although I have no idea how much time was wasted repeating already-completed tasks. They offered me a discount on future housecleaning, but I would not use them again so this was not helpful to me.

Thanks for taking the time to submit this report. Prior to every one time deep cleaning we take the time on the front end to go over exactly what our customers want cleaned. This customer purchased 8 total man-hours directly from Angie's List so we had a very specific priority list that we had gone over on the front end based on cleaning for 8 total man-hours. When our Team arrived that list was no longer going to be used, the home owner decided to change the list without contacting our office. While our Teams can communicate with our customers, they are trained to follow the list and call the office if they have any questions. In this particular situation the home owner just went over the list with them without calling our office to discuses the changes. When we talked to the Team they felt they understood what the customer wanted, however based on this report they were incorrect. Keep in mind, this customer was happy with what we cleaned, just not happy with the onsite communication. We tell all our customers to contact our office if they are going to change what we have already gone over and documented. Had this customer just called our office we could have updated the notes, gone over it with the Team and this would be an "A" report. In this particular situation had we just been contacted prior to the cleaning things would have gone just fine like 99% of our other one time deep cleanings. As for giving a refund, since this was purchased directly from Angie's List we could not refund any money that is why we offered to give her a discount on another service. Just so you can see the type of notes we take on the front end, I have included them below. Thanks again for submitting this report, we only wish you had contacted our office when the original cleaning notes changed. Limited Area Deep Cleaning - 8 Man-hour CAP 5/15 1. 4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms 2. The entire home is approximately 4000 SQF 3. This is a limited area cleaning. Clean what is noted - Stop at 8 man-hours. 4. Home will be vacant 5. Estimated arrival time: 1:00 - 2:30 PM Clean in order of the list below. Stop cleaning at 8 man-hours! Only clean bathroom floors - No other floors 1. Vacuum and wet wipe inside of the cabinets and drawers, and closets in all rooms 2. Clean kitchen including inside of refrigerator and oven and behind refrigerator. No need to clean kitchen floor 3. Wet wipe all woodwork, baseboards, window trim, door frame, doors, etc... 4. Deep clean Jacuzzi tub including area around each of the jets 5. Clean the bathrooms 6. If there is still time left, [member name removed] will show you what else she would like cleaned

Description of Work: I had Details Residential Services come clean my 3,500 sq-ft home; 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms, carpet & hardwood floors, dishwasher, microwave & oven. They arrived on time and ready to work. When I got back home, they were just getting into their cars to leave. So, we went back in to do a walk-through, and noticed they forgot to do the dishwasher & my oven. They were very friendly and tried to rectify it by cleaning them. However, my oven needed some elbow grease due to a juice spill, so I told her not to worry about getting it spotless. My dishwasher had grime around the opening, which they did not catch either. Other than these 2 missed steps, the rest of the house was great! I don't normally have my cleaners do the kitchen as I typically keep up with this area. So, with the nice work they did do to the rest of the house, I would no doubt hire them again.

Description of Work: This was a Move-In cleaning of an empty home. They added wall-washing at my request, and did a thorough cleaning of all appliances, cupboards, drawers, etc. (They did not do the floors, which would normally have been included, as the home had new wood and carpet flooring which did not need cleaning.) |In addition, the owner demonstrated a high degree of integrity: as the cleaning team neglected to let us know when they were on their way, as promised, we were unable to give them access for some time after their arrival. The team initially charged from their arrival, rather than their access to the home - the owner quickly corrected that error and apologized. We are very grateful for their honesty - and I think that level of attention to detail also showed with the excellent job they did cleaning. They would be the first we called with another cleaning request.
