The team was on time. We did a walkthrough of the house and pointed out some areas that needed extra attention. They went straight to work and didn't stop for 5 hours straight. They asked me to do an inspection upon finishing and everything was just perfect.
Description of Work: Details did my spring cleaning for me and it was wonderful. The guys were polite, efficient and on task. When my 13-year-old walked into the house later that day she told me she was a little scared because the place was "eerily clean." Can't get any better than that! I will definitely use this company again.

This is very important, since this is typically the first time the Team has been in your home, something is going to get missed or might need some more attention. At the end of each "deep cleaning" we ask our customers to walk through with the Team and make sure they are happy with he results, and if something has been missed to make sure they point it out to the Team. Since we only get one shot on a deep cleaning to do a great job, it really helps when customers can do the a walk through at the end. As of 6/2/2011, Details has 205 full time recurring cleaning customers and we have done about 300 deep cleanings. Don't forget we also offer window cleaning, carpet cleaning, handy-man service, and lawn service. At Details on call does it all. Overall everything went exactly as hoped. very nice professional people eager to please. asked them to use our wood cleaner as long as they were already cleaning our wood blinds and they accepted these type little requests with a smile. carpets were vacuumed well, wood floors cleaned with water and vinegar as requested and everything dusted and cleaned. great job in the bathrooms as well. Update. I have been using Detail for a number of months on a regular basis. Yesterday when they finished cleaning, my wife was unhappy at how they dusted and cleaned the master bedroom. I wrote Mike to tell him that this was a first. i heard back from him within 5 minutes, and within 30 minutes the cleaner was back at my home redoing my bedroom. Lets face it, when was the last time you had service like this? how many people are there like Mike that takes this much pride in service and reputation? Everybody makes mistakes. everybody has letdowns. But how they handle them is the true sign of service. Mike has proven this to me.

I was lucky to get a cancellation so that within the same week I was able to get my appointment. I never used this sort of service before. I let them in in the afternoon and then left (giving them the key) after I briefly mentioned what not to worry about. It was a two person team, they were very pleasant. They followed my special instructions. The estimate was near 150 and though they faced some special challenges and put in significant extra time (I know because I called them and they were still at it), they decided to stay within the estimate (a wise business decision). There were no soap smells which means they used green cleaners as promised and some areas were cleaner than they've ever been. The floors were dry which means they were careful not to let the wood get too wet. It is a large apartment (they called it a condo) and I consider it a good deal. He offered a better deal if I could commit to future cleanings but I wasn't comfortable with that having never used such a service before. I will probably use them again for move out. If you know you will need some periodic service, ask for the better deal. They only thing I would have them change is to consider offering to do spot carpet cleaning as part of the service.

Details Residential Services is the best house cleaning service I have ever had. Their owner responded very quickly to my initial inquiry, stays in touch and is very easy to reach. The people who clean my house are very courteous and reliable, plus exceptionally thorough. The leader of the team for my house has always been the same and knows my house. If I need to be downstairs when they begin, they start upstairs, and vice versa. Most importantly, I come home to find all the "details" cared for and in fact more than I anticipated. They are entirely flexible and attentive to the special items I ask for each time. They also take care of things I don't even anticipate. For instance, this morning I left clean sheets on the chair in my guest bedroom. I had guests arriving later that evening and planned to remake the bed when I returned from work. When I returned home to my totally clean home, and then completed cooking dinner for my guests, I went into the bedroom to put the clean sheets on the bed. I couldn't find them - until I looked under the quilt and found that my Details crew had changed the bed. I hadn't anticipated that, but can't say how much I appreciated it. I had worked all day, gone shopping, cooked and then wnet upstairs to change the bed - and it was already done! I didn't ask or expect it, it was simply done. My hardwood floors are cleaned just as I ask, and when I ask for anything special, it's done. Details Residential Services is a wonderful service and the crews are just wonderful.

Great job! We have two dogs that shed A LOT and they did a great job with cleaning the floors. We have used several cleaning companies in the area and they did a wonderful job and were actually quite a bit cheaper than others we have used. We are planning to continue our service on a monthly basis.

I wish I could agree with the other glowing reviews here (which is why I started with Details in the first place), but I feel the service I received was not consistent or detailed enough for the price. Such as, windowsills dusted one time, left dusty the next, bathtub and kitchen sink cleaned on only 3 sides with visible ring/dirt left on the uncleaned side, a wad of hair left on bathroom floor, visible dirt and gravel (and once, dog kibble) left on kitchen floor. Mike is very nice and highly responsive; when I pointed out a couple of the problems, he was quick with an offer to have the team come back. When I declined, he gave me a discount on the next cleaning. He also offered to have the come back and do a whole house cleaning for no charge when I advised him I was discontinuing their service, which I also declined.
Description of Work: Monthly cleaning of 1 bathroom 1300 sq ft home, to include vacuuming, dusting, floor washing, sinks, tub, etc.

As this member stated two weeks after their last cleaning I received an e-mail with the feedback that is listed in their report. I immediately contacted them and offered to have the Team come to their home and take care of the issues even though it had been two weeks since their cleaning. I offered a discount on the cleaning and also offered to clean their home for free at their next scheduled cleaning. This member decided they did not want to have us come back and nor did they want the free cleaning. I tried my best to resolve the issues and that is all I can do. I had a treadmill delivered. I needed to move the 315 pound treadmill to out basement, set it up, and remove our old one. I was fairly panicked about how to do this and coordinate the timing with the lease impact on our family. Mike volunteered to help us get it off of the truck, he arranged for Ian to come to our home. When I returned from work, the new treadmill was set up and the old was neatly arranged in an out of the way area of the garage. There was no mess, no evidence that anyone had been in my home and certainly no evidence that a 315 pound piece of equipment had been lugged around! It was timely and perfect.

I got a prompt appointment due to cancellations for Christmas Eve. Two Hispanic cleaners, a male and a female, arrived and did the job. The quality of the work was excellent. However, they seemed slow. There was an odd situation where the male seemed to be in the bathroom and it seemed to be locked--maybe he was going to the bathroom but somehow it seemed odd to me. After 2.75 hours, I indicated to them I had to go in 45 minutes and they hadn't gotten to my priority items, such as vacuuming. They then hustled for the remaining time and got 75% of the priority items done. Overall they did an excellent job however. I also got a 5% discount due to "Angie's List."

Thanks for taking the time to submit this great report. I do, however, want to address a few of your comments here, as I did when I called you to follow up. (1) The cleaner who was cleaning your bathroom was going to be using bleach and water to clean your tub, so he closed the door in an effort to avoid the smell of the bleach drifting throughout your home and possibly causing you some discomfort. (2) I was not aware when we scheduled the cleaning that there was a strict timeframe. You are charged based on how much work it takes to clean your house, and racing through a job can mean missed spots. The Team works at a pace that will allow them to do a good job and not neglect the details. I would not say they were working “slow”: rather they were making sure not to miss anything since it was Christmas Eve. The pace the Team works is set by me, and I should have done a better job in describing that to you prior to the cleaning. I apologize. (3) As for mentioning that two "Hispanics" showed up at your home and were working slow until you told them about your tight timeframe...I did find this a bit troubling. To Angie's list members: I contacted this member after seeing this report and talked to her about the “Hispanics working slow" comment. To her credit she agreed that it was perhaps not the best comment to make and fully understands how it could be taken negatively by the Team. I also pointed out that I gave her a 15% discount since we were unable to finish her entire home within her timeframe. This member was very nice and said she would happily have the Team back to her home again. This is a great report. I just felt it necessary to address a few of the comments. I want to remind the members that at Details Residential Services, we go over every posted report with the Team, so please keep that in mind when making comments other than addressing the quality of the work. Just like all of us, my team members are good people trying to make a living; they understand and appreciate constructive feedback. Please just remember they are also human and can be hurt by the words of other people. Thank you.

Details cleaned all of the carpets and upholstry in my house. Some of my carpets were heavily stained due to my cat, but they looked brand new after the cleaning. I was able to get the estimate and arrange the cleaning with Mike, the owner, by e-mail. I am also a housecleaning customer, so Details was able to use their key to my house and do the job while I was at work. This made getting the job done very easy without me having to take time off from work to get an estimate or let them in to do the work.

Our deep cleanings are typically done on Satudays since you never know how long they will take and I never want the Team to have to rush to finish the job. The holidays are a very busy time so if any member wants to have their home cleaned give us a call ASAP since we will get filled up over the next two weeks. Any member that does get their home deep cleaned before the end of the year will get a 10% discount instead of the 5% we have listed on Angies List. Very well. On very short notice I needed the duplex cleaned prior to move-in. Details was the first to respond to my request and happened to have an opening in their schedule. I decided at the last minute that I needed to have my house deep cleaned prior to putting it on the market. Mike was able to give me a general idea of what it would cost. I hired them on a bi-weekly basis. Mike came out and gave me an estimate and went through everything they would do on a weekly basis and what would be on a rotating basis (ceiling fans, etc.). His response time was immediate. I left a message on a Saturday morning that I was interested in getting an estimate, thinking I would hear back on Monday, but he called that same morning and we made an appointment to have him check out the house. We have a 3-bedroom tri-level house with mostly hardwood floors. He was very thorough in his explanations, emailed me the estimate, I emailed him back saying I would like to be on the schedule. He sent me a packet of information (how to prepare your house, etc., and a certificate of insurance) right away. The cleaners did an excellent job. Our floors really shine and look terrific ... also our bathrooms. Mike's company also does other jobs for homeowners, and I have hired them to do our windows, so another report will be coming in June. If they do as good a job as the cleaners, I will be very happy. Incidentally, my daughter has hired them to clean her house also and is very pleased. I'm sure she would ditto everything I have said here.

They had cleaned my house about 4 times. Overall I would say they were "ok" but nothing spectacular for the high cost of their service (I have a very small, 1 bath home in SLP). I didn't have them come back after I came home @ 5PM and they were just finishing up (1 individual). He didn't clean out the bathroom sink, our glass table in the lr was filthy, etc. But the worst thing was that I discovered this individual had opened up some of my personal items. I contacted the owner via email and he insisted that this individual had been let go and offered to clean my house free the next week. However, the owner only communicated with me via email, which I thought was very unprofessional (if I had an employee that did this to one of my customers I would have phoned them immediately). Furthermore, how do I know this wouldn't happen again? Personally he shouldn't have charged me for my last cleaning.
Description of Work: General house cleaing. Found it odd that they never made the beds. They would only make the beds if I left out clean sheets for them. This made the cleaning seem incomplete.

While yours was an unfortunate situation that I understand and for which I again apologize, I feel the need to respond to the issues of our responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism. We hold ourselves to very high standards in this regard – just ask our other customers – and are very sorry you feel otherwise. Three months ago, we cleaned your home for the last time. The day after the cleaning, you e-mailed me twice, back to back. The first was about a few items you felt were not as clean as they should have been. This is fair, and we will always remedy this occurrence to our customers’ satisfaction. The second e-mail stated that you discovered an open latch on a small charm box in your home. You said you couldn’t be sure, however, the latch is pretty tight so you were wondering if someone may have unlatched it. I immediately replied to your e-mails to apologize and tell you I would remedy this asap. I talked to the cleaner, and he told me he moved the charm box to dust and yes, he got curious and opened the latch. I have a zero-tolerance policy for being nosy and he was terminated on the spot. I then called you back. You didn’t answer so I left you a detailed voice message about what I had found out and the action I took, and asked you to call me back. I then sent you a follow-up e-mail repeating what I said on your voice mail. I let you know that yes, the latch was opened by one of my team members and that person was terminated. I said I was sorry for the situation and will happily clean your house for free for your troubles. I did not hear back from you. One week later, you sent me an e-mail saying you wanted to discontinue service. I replied that I was sorry to hear that, but completely understood. I want the members to know there was nothing missing, broken, nor taken from this home. Someone got nosy and it cost them their job. This was the first time this has happened and hopefully the last. As the owner, I take full responsibility for the actions of my team. Our customers would expect nothing less, which is why they hire us. What truly sets apart a responsive, professional company is how they handle an unfortunate situation, and we pride ourselves on this. I’m not going to contradict this member’s statement about the quality of our service, however, the only message I ever received from this customer prior to this situation was that we were doing a great job. Thanks again for taking the time to submit this report. I’m sorry we were unable to continue cleaning your home. We have been very fortunate to get great reports, and while this report is not glowing, it is a learning experience and it has made our company better in the long run. Thanks again, this is why Angie's List is great!

They do the vacuum dust, clean the kitchen and the bathroom when they come out. They are good and they do a good job of cleaning the house. They are prompt and they get the things done on time. Their cost is as much as we want to spend so its been a good relationship.

I have a great group of people that work at Details. Cleaning homes is not the easiest job, and not every cleaning is perfect. The Details Team takes pride in their work and responds well to both positive and constructive feedback. Without feedback, they don’t know if they are doing a good job or need to make some improvements. I’m very proud of my Team: they show up for work with a positive attitude and they really try hard every day. The Details Team gets paid by the hour; not by the house. This ensures that they take their time and get the job done right. I have never set a time limit for a customer's home and no one gets paid to rush through cleanings. Details' customer service goal is a long-term relationship that works well for both parties. We are not going to be the least expensive option, however as the saying goes, you get what you pay for!

They do a better job of cleaning than the other company I used earlier. They do a very good job. They respond well to things we tell them and they keep up with that every two weeks. Basically, they clean up to our standards.

Great company to deal with. A reminder e-mail is sent on Friday before our Monday cleaning date. The crew arrives promptly, cleans carefully including under furniture. The biggest Wow" was when I asked for someone to clean our gutters- they had someone come and clean them on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. It was amazing service! Great to deal with. I am considering giving them other business, like carpet cleaning and windows. Very professional.
Description of Work: The crew clean our 2 story and finished basement home. They are punctual, careful, and very pleasant. We have 2 cats which could be a problem but they do a wonderful job! Cleaning supplies are pretty much eco friendly. We needed help cleaning our gutters. I had responded to an e-mail from them that I would like our gutters cleaned. Within 24 hours they were at our home and had cleaned the gutters.

I put my house on the market and they sent a team of a couple of people to clean my house and get it ready to put on the market. The owner is fairly straight forward, easy to get along with and arranged in short notice to have someone out to do the cleaning work for me. However, when the two cleaners came, the quality of the work that they provided, I basically had to follow after them and sort of point out the areas that they had not really completed in a very detailed way. In addition at the end of the day they sat in my driveway with their car on for few minutes and when he sent me the bill what I found was he takes the time off of their GPS system that in their car. So, while they were sitting in their car the clock was ticking and it was my time. When I said to him that they left at 3 O?clock, he said that the GPS system says that they didn?t leave until around 3:30, then I told him that they sat in my driveway for half an hour. I basically said to him that I don?t believe if that is what I should pay you and he readily agreed to adjust the charges. But, in his defense he did say, you followed up after these people and if I had known that you had really wanted as thorough a cleaning as you said, I probably would have charged you more initially. I answered him that everyone does spotless cleaning when you have to put it on the market, so, he got a little defensive, but, we were able to workout. I probably would not use him again just because I know that I had to follow those people around to get the cleaning done properly. They were always punctual, responsive and right on time. It is just the quality of the work that did not work well for me.

Thank you for your report. I appreciate you taking the time to submit it. While I have made it a policy not to contradict a member's report since I value honest feedback, both positive and negative, I am forced to take exception to a few of the things you posted. We never actually had a conversation on the phone or via e-mail about our Team “sitting in your driveway” for any length of time. I sent you the final invoice and you retorted that they left your home at 3:00pm and not 3:25pm. I replied to your message to explain that the GPS on the vehicle indicated they left your home at 3:25pm, however, I would be happy to take the .25 hours off your invoice without question. At this time, you never claimed they sat in your driveway for ½ hour. Our GPS system is activated when the driver sits in the driver’s seat for more than one minute. The system went on at your home at 3:26pm and showed the vehicle moving away from your home, so there is little chance they were sitting in your driveway for 30 minutes. For the record, they did not even park in your driveway, as you required them to move the vehicle to the street after unloading equipment. Nevertheless, because I value our customers and their feedback, I took you at your word and immediately lowered your invoice. Secondly, while it is customary and necessary for a home owner at the end of a “deep cleaning” to point out areas that were missed or need special attention, it is not customary for the home owner to walk with, ahead of, and immediately behind the cleaners throughout the cleaning process to point out areas/items that they had not even cleaned yet. As one would expect, this both made the Team a bit nervous and hindered their process! Third, we did not have a communication where you mentioned everyone "doing spotless cleaning before putting houses on the market" and I reacted defensively. I do have all of our email communications saved and have included the only email I received from from this cusomer after our cleaning below. I only think it’s fair that the members see exactly what was sent upon completion of this cleaning. As I stated above, I really appreciate honest feedback, even if it is not glowing. It makes our company better when we know what we need to improve upon. Thanks again for this report and I’m sorry I had to take exception to a few of your statements. This is the one and only e-mail I received from this customer after the cleaning. Mike— They arrived promptly at 8 and left promptly at 3, so I’m thinking that’s 14 hours, vs. 14.83. Could you verify this? I’ve had cleaning services before, as well as a regular housecleaner for several years, and I’ve never been charged for travel time, so I’m unsure where the extra time is warranted. They did a nice job, but only after I followed behind them and had them re-do several areas, and go over areas they did not clean the first time through. For example—in the downstairs bedroom/shop Tony mopped the floors, and but did not bother to clean several rust/dirt spots until I pointed out the areas weren’t clean with a wet hand when the dirt came right up; in the kitchen Dora did not wipe the frig out, as outlined on your deep clean list, until I requested it; and so on. I’m pretty busy getting the house on the market and running my business, and having to prompt them wasn’t what I was expecting after you took such good care of me last year. It’s doing well enough to pass—not trying to do your best.

I needed a move out clean for my duplex, as the tenants left it uncleaned. Mike came through with last minute service- on a Sat. Everything he described happened exactly as he promised it would. Eddie and Jorge did a superb job, really the most thorough cleaning I have ever seen from any cleaning service. They also did everything I asked them to do, rather than say,"We don't do that", as many cleaners say. They were professional, on time, friendly, and REALLY deep cleaned.

I have never used a cleaning service before but found it necessary as I was recovering from foot surgery which necessitates using crutches or a wheelchair. I called Mike at Details on a Monday and scheduled service for the following Saturday. Mike was responsive, answered all my questions, and provided me with a cleaning checklist and proof of the company's insurance. Miquel arrived promptly at 8 am on Saturday. He reviewed what they typically did and asked me if I had any special requests. He worked continually from 8 am to 6:30 - 10-1/2 hours. Mike estimated it would take 9 hours, but Miquel told me that one of the wood floors upstairs was sticky with some type of residue and he needed to scrub it by hand. He was thorough, meticulous, organized, and unobtrusive while where. He checked in periodically with me and I also asked him to make one of the beds and carry laundry down into the basement for me. The cleaning products used had a nice clean smell, but not overpowering. The kitchen cabinets looked great after cleaning. He even cleaned out the coffeemaker and filled it with water and beans for the next time I needed it. The floors and faucets sparkled after he was finished, and it feels great to once again have a clean house. Before leaving, Miquel did a final check in to make sure everything was satisfactory.
Description of Work: Did a deep cleaning of the first and second floors of my home. This included top to bottom dusting, cleaning, vacuuming floors, cleaning kitchen appliances (coffeemaker, microwave, outside of stove & fridge), dusting window sills, washing woodwork & kitchen cabinets, straightening, vacuuming furniture, etc.. They provided all their own equipment including environmentally friendly cleaning solutions.
