Overall this project went smoothly. All staff including onsite workers listen to home owners requests and concerns. They attempt to meet requests when feasible and give rationale if idea proposed is not economical or possible. If items can be reused or recycled, the staff facilitate this when requested.

It went great. They came and gave an estimate within 3 days of the first call. He also made recommendations based on his option - we were not really sure what to do about the ice dams and he gave us 2 or 3 options, and told us what HE would do if it was HIS house, and we really appreciated that. AND he said they would get to it in late Oct. or Nov. and they did it the first week in Sept. On time and on budget.

After four months of frustration and dead ends, people who really didn't know the codes or what to do, I found Chad at Northern Trends who was not only less expensive than the rest, he was also extremely proficient, quick and knows his stuff well!! I contacted numerous places, all of whom were too busy to help for weeks or months. The other places also charged at least twice what these guys did and were NOT helpful at all! I made one call to Northern Trends, got in touch with Chad. He came out right away, was able to answer all of my questions, had great suggestions, AND he did the draft quickly and right! Each time I needed changes, he understood exactly what I was talking about and did them well! We had some questions about the codes and he either knew the answers or was able to get them quickly! When I call the business, the person who answered was always polite and Chad was almost always available and if he wasn't he got back to me very quickly via phone or email. There was NO frustration, waiting, or guessing! He provided a great estimate and that was what the cost ended up being. I was able to get the drawings to submit to the city, in the size I needed them within two weeks of contacting him. This included two trips to my house, one on the spur of the moment to make sure he had it correct, and the other for the initial meeting. I highly recommend using Chad at Northern Trends if you need something drafted right!

Their customer service was great, they're very prompt but they were very expensive. Their quote was too high. They were great, I think everything they wanted to do was really good and it was just too expensive for us. They came out and made sure to do what we wanted. They definitely knew what they were doing.

Contacted Northern Trends to do a remodel project. Met with contractor within days of contacting them. Had follow-up meetings with designer and contractor several times. Plans were drawn up and options discussed. Communication stopped and estimate was never received until 3 months later. Selected another contractor to remodel our home.

Great! We're very happy with their work. We had the work done right after we bought the house, most was done before we moved in so we weren't observing day to day work. When we stopped by to check on things, always seemed to be going well. We were happy with results.

The basement was totally gutted. The new floor plan included a storage room, bedroom, bathroom, utility room and rec room. All new electrical through out basement, new plumbing and new windows. The crew arrived everyday and was very friendly. The project took longer than expected but we have happy with the end result. We have received many compliments on our new basement.
