Because of a passing thunder storm, a third of the driveway had the concrete wait too long to be worked and then was worked too much. As a result, that section is spalling and will need repair at some point. This past summer I called Freeman and complained about the spalling and he seemed unconcerned but said he would come out and take a look at it. He never did. We told Feeman that the old sidewalk always heaved and that was the reason we wanted it replaced. Despite this knowledge, He failed to put down a sufficient amount of limestone base before pouring the cement and, as a result, the sidewalk continues to heave each winter.
