to be sure that theres an very fair priced agreement inplace to know what will be accomplish with the end result is exaclty what was discussed so going into it i know as well as yourself know and agree on the exact dollar amount that is fair or lower than most only to ensure a very stress free time as well as repeat costumers is what i look to acheive. i will not take a job that would be labeled or talked about as in "slapped together quick" i just cant do that because of how i was tought as i got more serious about what i do for somone is what they have to live with as well as i do share that feeling and i dont go home at night wondering about anyhting because when i do sothing i do it right and i do it good so that whoever its for is happy with the outcome. i feel that if your able to explain what you need done im confedent that the result will be just that. if you had water damage or any type of damage to your property i will bring it back to its origal state or you may have some add ins or more depth to the job resulting in a new and inproved type of result. also lets say the way things are desighned just do quite fit your style or simply just fit objects in to anymore because familys get bigger and the house stays the same . even if you know something has to change but you have no idea what to do about it thats ok we can dicuss many types of options and ideas untill you feel or find just that perfect mixture you needed. or if you just simplely need another set of hands to get a task done quickly, safly and not pay so much that your questioning to go it aloone because i can assure you well agree on what you want im there to listen and understand your hurdles and hofully end up with you going out to shop and upon your return its finished, im gone, and its already been paid! so that you can get back to your day without any issues.

Hi, My business began in Oklahoma City, and through those relationships built, was taken then to Florida, Maine, into San Francisco for years, and then to Lake Tahoe. My wife and I moved to the Duluth area a few years ago and I've recently decided to get back into doing what I know best. Helping people build their vision for their home, fixing any issues that come up, all the while providing a better experience for people in regards to how they perceive their "contractor". I wanted to be different than the typical contractor. I wanted to be a sophisticated craftsman who provided stellar services and products while being reliable, friendly, and a future staple in my client's lives. One that will answer a call, return a phone call, show up on time, and, well, I'm sure we're on the same page already. Horror stories of people who will take your money and never show back up, quote a job at taking 3 days when it takes a month, and who show up in a trashy white van, put out their cigarette in your drive, and smell bad, have filled my ears for years. I have changed that.... I have a ton of references and a portfolio for those who would like the security of knowing that I run my work as a business and not some contractor who is untrustworthy and incompetent. I am a carpenter, painter, handyman, tiler, finish worker, master craftsman, general contractor, and home builder all wrapped in one. I do smaller jobs on my own and larger jobs with a crew if needed. My returning clients see me as a master craftsman and hopefully you will too! Better yet, I'm a licensed Home Builder in the State of Minnesota and insured beyond the requirements by the state. My prices are extremely competitive and the work is exceptional. I offer so many services all across the construction board. So if you need something done, just shoot me an email, let me know what needs done, and we can chat. I look forward to your business! Yes, you should confirm that the fencing installer you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. In most cases they do not need a specific fencing license, but rather a general contractor’s license. Hiring a licensed contractor protects you as a homeowner from fraud, poor work, and potential legal woes.

Before you hire a fence installer to build you the fence of your dreams for your yard, it’s important to set expectations up front by asking questions. Some questions to consider include:
Do you offer a warranty?
Do you offer financing or a payment plan?
Do you have references?
Do you have photos of previous work?
What type of fencing materials do you work with?

Do you have references?
Are all fasteners exterior (galvanized)?
How deep are you concreting the post?
What is the lowest maintenance fencing?
How will you deal with slopes?

Only some fences require a permit to build. Factors like where you live, how tall your fence will be, and where in your yard you plan to build all impact the need to have a permit. Below are a few examples of when a permit is needed; it’s always best to check with your fence installer to confirm if a permit is required.
Generally, if you live somewhere rural, like on a farm, there’s a good chance you will not need a fence permit. However, you will most likely need a permit if you live in a highly-populated area. In addition, many privacy fences in your backyard won’t need a permit if it is 6 feet or shorter. However, you might need a permit for anything over 3.5 feet in your front yard.

Any solid panels over 8 feet in height will require a permit, while a 2-foot lattice top on a 6-foot fence does not require a permit.

Permit requirements can vary, so it's best to check with your county and municipality. Your fence contractor should be able to help confirm the specific requirements.

If you are digging in the ground, then yes. If it's just a repair with no digging, then no.

The average cost to install a fence is between $1,760 and $4,500. These costs are what an average homeowner spends, but you might spend more or less depending on several factors. For a smaller DIY project, you might get away with spending as little as $430, or for a much larger project (like fencing for a 5-acre yard), you can spend in excess of $43,000.
Besides the size of your yard, other factors like your fence material, fence height, site prep, and additional fence features like gates all impact the overall cost. Additionally, the high cost of raw materials and manufacturing can all make the overall price tag higher.

The overall cost of a fence project depends on numerous factors, including the size of your yard, fence material, fence height, site preparation, and additional features like gates.
Answered by Carlos Martinez at CLM Home Improvements in New Carrollton, MD on 01/20/25
Specific pricing varies drastically based on material choices and options. Length of fence, height, and gate options all are contributing factors that will determine the overall cost of a fence. Typically a per foot price can be given that ranges from $20-$50 per linear foot for installations.
Answered by Todd Rosier at A Plus Fencing Solutions in Yakima, WA on 01/08/25
It all depends on the specifications of the fence, such as linear footage, gate installations, demolition and haul-off, and other factors.
Answered by Connor Andrews at Craftsman Fence, LLC in Kirkland, WA on 01/22/25
It depends on the type of fence, the scope of work, and other factors.

Fence installers typically charge by the hour when working on a project. Typically, you can expect to pay around $50 per hour for fence installation. Your project might take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, depending on the length of your fence, overall project complexity, and fence type.
