DUSTY DAN'S DRYWALL

Firstly, it took a few weeks to get in communication with Dusty Dan. I can't say for sure this was entirely Dan's fault since the builder that recommended him made the initial contact. However, according to our builder Dan was slow in his communication. His initial bid was substantially higher than other bids. Our project was rather small and he bid $1250 while other bids came in closer to the $800 range. He did compromise and come down a bit to $1087. He charged $360 for floor protection and other barriers but he left a complete MESS when the project was completed. There was mud on walls that weren't even worked on, mud on pictures hanging on walls that were adjacent to the work being done. He ruined a broom with mud (not a big deal-but didn't even say anything). The texture he applied did not match the other textured walls. The kicker was his clean up. I came home to find that he had used our garbage bags and then left the "clean up" in front of our garage door. He didn't even haul his own debris! He was a very nice guy and very prompt with his work. However, the mess he left and the lack of clean up and neglecting to take his trash left a sour taste in my mouth. He was very expensive compared to other bids and so far I can't tell a difference.
