Description of Work: The electricians put in a vent fan in our bathroom and replaced some light switches. They were very professional, and they explained every aspect of what they were doing. I found them to be very friendly and professional.

I called them for an estimate. They arrived on time, and seemed to understand what was needed, but that is where the good ended for us. They looked at what I wanted done, but they just acted like they were having trouble with talking to me, a woman, about the projects needed as they were muttering quite a bit to each other, asking my husband if that was what was needed, and giving each other raised eyebrows and smirks when they thought I wasn't looking. They then went to their van to write out the estimate. They came back in with an estimate of over $9000! They offered to drop it down to $8500 if I bought their 1 year plan, and offered to let me apply for financing. When I asked them why their estimate was $4000 higher than the last electrician they claimed "we're better" but wouldn't give me reasons why they were better other than "because we're Mr. Electric". I told them that it was highly unlikely we'd use them and that we'd be getting more estimates before making a decision. We got 2 more estimates, both $3500 less than this company. We were called probably 15 times in the first month after doing the estimate. We tried to get a better answer for why they were charging so much more than ALL our other estimates, with no explanation other than we were going to get " Mr. Electric quality" for that huge price difference. We told them several times to stop calling, and that we weren't interested, but they still called and called.

Hi [member name remove], Thank you for your review. It is a great way for our company to improve. I have had a chance to pull up your file and this is what I found. We received your call on 6/25/2014 at 4:20 pm to set up an appointment on 6/30/2014 at 1:15 for a quote for an updated circuit breaker panel, a complete kitchen update/remodel and to add lights in the basement. I have broken down the invoice-1 100 AMP 30 circuit panel overhead/ underground $2,824.90, 1- ground electrical service $307.31, 2- electrical permit fees (one circuit, one trip) $121.00, 1- one year savings plan $89.00, 4- install/ remodel 6” recess w/trim $ 730.72, 2-15-20 AMP Romex wire closed wall $360.74 for a total of $4,433.67. There is a complete kitchen remodel for $3,829.46. The total of the quote given for all of the work requested was $8263.13 I looked into the other correspondences and there are three calls. The first was on Monday 7/7/2014 at 210pm to [member name remove], it says that they are waiting. The second was on Monday 7/21/2014 at 2:50 pm to [member name remove], it says that Grandma would have [member name remove] return our call. The third was on Monday 7/28/2014 at 1:49 pm to[member name remove] and it says that they spoke to her and she found a lower bid. There are no correspondences after that. I would like to apologize for the rudeness you felt from the technicians. Being talked down to is not something that is done at Mr. Electric. The techs that were at your home are no longer with our company Our technicians are respectful, helpful and informative. Description of Work: I had Mr Electric do some wiring updates when we first purchased our current home six years ago. I recently had some other work done that required an electrical inspection. Although the original work passed inspection, we found something that was safe, but incorrect and holding up the new work. Mr Electric did not fight, even though they could have, and took responsibility for the problem, fixing it without charge even though it was six years later. I have no doubts that this is a standup group of people, and I will use them for any future work I may need.

They were punctual, professional and did a nice job. I would definitely hire them again, if needed.I hired them for this job because I was impressed with the job they did when they were sub-contracted by the people that installed my furnace the year before.
Description of Work: A couple of years back, my house was hit by lightning, taking out half of my master breaker. I had an electrician from a different company (because they were the only company I could find that could respond on short notice) come in and put in a temporary one (it was used because I didn't want to spend $700+ for a new breaker for my out-of-day box). Mr Electric was hired to replace my breaker box and install a whole-house surge suppressor.

I was impressed that they came on a Saturday, but I was disappointed with the quote they gave for a new breaker. Their quote was $800.00 for a new breaker, but I found one for $112.00. Aside from that, things went well.

Everything went well, but we went with another company because Mr. Electric's quote was a bit high. I also disliked that they tried to upsell me on a warranty package for any future electrical issues. Ultimately, I felt as though they weren't as competitive as the other companies I contacted.

They are very conscientious about having a clean job site, they provide accurate estimates, and they explain the work thoroughly.

They did a fantastic job. We really loved working with them. They provided some suggestions for other vendors (for example for our lighting or sound systems), so that was nice to get a good recommendation. The technicians were so good about cleaning up after themselves while the work was being done. It was great experience overall!
Description of Work: We had new construction done. They completed all of the electrical work for the house and also the electrical work for our geothermal system.
