Adam's On-Time Plumbing

Long story short: Tech that came out in Feb, failed to properly check all drains/faucets for leaks. Find the leak, and spraying water myself on March 16th. However, we paid Adams on Time Plumbing to simply do a routine check. Which Mark, failed to do. We never received a re-check or services rendered. That's called theft. Now, when you have an opportunity to correct it you say the plumber doesn't feel safe? Why is that? Never spoke to him. Not sure how he doesn't feel safe. Looks like Adams On Time is full of excuses. Sent 10:17 PM The name of this company should be. Adams On-Time. These so-called plumbers came, missed a leak. How, because he forgot to check under the sink? A simple list that the tech checks off, Mark couldn’t even handle that. SMH! Below are a few pictures. We were told there were no pipes above my garage. Uhmm, that is interesting.

I was required to use Adam’s by my home warranty company. I pre-paid a high service visit fee, then waited 2-1/2 weeks for an appointment. I went through a list of 5 issues with the plumber, one of which he could not even explain/diagnose. He proceeded recommend to the warranty company that no issues be covered under warranty. Adam’s further said they were not interested in providing a quote to fix the issues on my own dime. So, now I’m out the service fee, have gone almost a month with broken plumbing, will not have any coverage under warranty, and need to start over in the search for a plumber. Terrible experience!

About two and half weeks ago, my hot water heater died leaving me with a flooded basement and no hot water. Between the failures of the warranty service I used (HMS) and the Service Provider (Crestline), I had no hot water for two weeks. After half a week of finally having a new hot water heater, the new one seemed to fail, leaving my two young kids without hot water for their baths again. HMS told me I could get a different provider and had me call Adam's. I spoke with Dean who was freaking out that he might not get paid for his services. He said he called HMS and expected me to pay another deductible FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. I called HMS the next morning and they said that was wrong. Dean was still hesitant and was wary of coming out to help our family because he was afraid he would not get paid. I ended my call with him. Instead of asking questions about the situation, offering to have a three way conversation with the warranty company, or checking his office to see if HMSs paperwork came in explaining this was a recall and that I would not have to pay, he was adamant that I was going to need to pay him and did not want to come out unless I understood that to be the case. I am surprised at the positive feedback this company has received and chalk it up to the good work they do when they DO come out and help someone. Dean is a great person to work with. He is on time and work efficiently.

152 days later, nothing was working and they told us it would be 4 days for them to come back. When they came the first time, they drained the water tank into a sump pump whole that had no sump pump. Weeks later, I was smelling something and they drained it into a drain that does not drain. There was a drain that lead to outside right beside where he drained the tank.

Very well. Plumber resolved issue with 2 visits on March 8th and March 15th. Will absolutely hire the company again.

No problems. Tech was right on time, called to let us know when he was going to arrive and got right to work. Was able to identify and fix the pipe in about an hour. Very prompt service and professional.

Did not have a good experience with this company. When my water heater leaked, I was directed to Adams from my service company. The basic replacement water heater and installation was covered by them. Adams arrived on Friday afternoon but was unable to replace the unit that day and scheduled a return on Monday morning. They said it was a complicated installation because of tight surroundings and said they had to remove my humidifier and some of the ducting. Since I was in an emergency situation I accepted their quote of $530.00 above the basic installation and they schedule four hours Monday morning to complete the work. In reality they were able to complete the installation in total well within two hours and spent at most an additional half (½) hour above a typical install. The work was adequate but felt I was exploited being in a tight situation. When I mentioned this to the installer, he said it took him forty five minutes to get to my house in rush hour traffic, which he would have done anyway as part of a basic install and also didn't seem to care about my concerns. I never heard from the owner.

The plumber knew what the problem was and was quick to fix it, however he turned the water off in order to complete the task. The next morning when I went to take a shower, there was absolutely no water pressure; he had not fully turned the water valve back on!

We originally called another plumber before finding out Adam's was covered with our home warranty. We called Adam's for an appointment. It was no emergency but we were very pleased they would send someone out the next day. Dean arrived the next day, well within the four hour window that was provided by the original appointment request the day before. Dean quickly diagnosed the failed pump during his inspection while eliminating other possible problems, electrical, check valve, bucket and piping to the outside of our home. He was working in a crawl space with a concrete floor but only about 3 foot high. He completed the work, tested the new pump, did the paperwork and was on his way in about an hour. Dean was very courteous, skilled and knowledgeable. We currently have a home warranty but we would go back to Adam's without it. We were very impressed!

We had an appointment for a Hot Water heater replacement. The technician arrived right on time. He confirmed the replacement. I had many questions and asked about upgrades. He was very honest and noted the upgrades were truly not worth the investment for our situation. I received a detailed estimate prior to the work which included the options of the old water heater removal. Well worth the removal fee. The technician completed the work in a very timely fashion. After he was done he reviewed operating instructions with me and even provided the Water Heater Rebate information/paperwork for me to submit to my utility company. Great work.

All I can say is WOW! After the toilet off our master bedroom broke late Friday night, I called two plumbing companies on Saturday. Angie's List indicated both would make repairs on weekends, but both said they were booked that weekend. They offered to schedule the repair the next week. Since that was the case, I called Adams On-Time Plumbing because I had used them previously and been pleased with their work. I knew they didn't work on weekends, but thought I'd get "in line" for Monday. I left a message indicating that I needed a toilet repaired. It certainly wasn't an emergency, because we have two other toilets in our home, but I wanted it repaired as soon as possible. I didn?t expect to hear from them until Monday. Dean called me back a few minutes later and told me a plumber from the firm was doing work in my area. He said that plumber might be willing to come to my home when he was done with the current job. An hour later the phone rang, and the plumber told me he was on the way. He quickly repaired the toilet and, at my request, he checked another one to make sure it wasn't about to need a similar repair. He was fast, polite and friendly. Next time I need a plumber, I'll call Adam's On-Time Plumbing. I won't even consider using anyone else,

The drain in the sink at our son's house was clogged and nothing he and his wife tried was working. My husband went over this morning and also had no luck. He called four recommended plumbers to try to get someone over there. One said they "didn't do drains" and two others said they were too busy. He then called Adam's On-Time Plumbing and Mark came within an hour or so! He was both friendly and professional. He unclogged the drain and made recommendations about a better pipe design under the sink to help with avoiding future problems. My husband agreed, so this was also done. Upon request he also provided and installed a garbage disposal for them. The work took about three hours. He put down protection for the floor and cleaned up afterwards. We felt the price was reasonable as it included the garbage disposal and some complicated pipe work.

Since I was a member of Excel's Homesmart program, they were the first people I called when our water heater began leaking. Since I already had a letter from them indicating the amount they would reimburse to me for a new water heater because I'd contacted them earlier about my leak (and been told it had to get worse), they back tracked on that. When I told them the measurements for the water heater, which is in a crawl space, they abruptly told me, they didn't have one that size in stock and couldn't get one, then hung up. At that point, I was angry and desperate, since a water heater is not a luxury item, it is a necessity. However, I went to Angie's List to discover a provider and called the first A-rated one on the list, Water Heaters Only. They indicated that they handled only commercial sales. However, they were happy to say that they could order a water heater to fit the space and that it would be in within a few days. They suggested I call Adam's On-Time Plumbing for installation. The woman promised me they were excellent and would provide me with good service at a reasonable cost. At that point, I didn't even check Angie's list, I just dialed the number. Later I learned the company already had an A rating on Angie's List. It deserves this one as well. When I checked with Adams On-Time Plumbing, Dean said he would pick up the water heater on the day it was due in and install it early the next day. I confirmed this with him on the day it was due at Water Heaters Only. He said he would be picking it up soon and would be out early the next day. The next day, my phone rang at 7:30 a.m. and Dean told me he would be at my home in less than half an hour. As promised, he arrived before 8 a.m. and by 9:20 a.m. the new 36-gallon electric water heater was installed. Forty-five minutes later, I had hot water. Dean was professional and friendly and he and his associates left the area spotless. With the help of Angie's list and a friendly voice at Water Heaters Only, I found a great plumber and got fast, superior service. Kudos to Water Heaters Only and Adam's On-Time Plumbing for helping out a panicked retiree at a fair price.

He was polite, did quality work, and kept a very clean work space. I paid $75 because it was covered by a home warranty, but it would have cost $209. He gave me a 4 hour window of his arrival time, but called 15 minutes before he arrived. Work was completed in about 20 minutes.

The total cost was only a service fee of $75 because we had a Home Warranty. Mark was great and helped determine that we didn't have a leak in our wall, but the pipes expanding with the heat of the water. He also reset the downstairs toilet that was leaking. Overall he was here for about an hour and did a good job.

Dean was very professional and responsive on the phone.

Arrived on time and promptly got to work identifying the issue. Contacted Home Warranty company with estimate of repairs needed and got authorization to proceed. With little fuss we have a new, non-leaking water heater.

This was my third service call from Jeff to perform work covered by a home warranty. Each visit has been fantastic. He's prompt, professional, happy to dole out advice and FAST. I plan to keep doing business with this company!

We had a sump pump that drained into a basement drain which was not a good option so had it vented outside and replaced the sump pump (which was very old) at the same time. Job done well. Also helped diagnose another problem we were having that they do not work on. (non-plumbing)

Removing the cold and hot water knobs was difficult due to hardwater buildup, etc. Took precautions to make sure he didn't damage the tub or valve handles while pulling them off. He fixed the problem in about 40 minutes from start to finish. I opted to not replace the valve assembly at this point because of the expense and the possibility that we will remodel the bath anyway.

Overall the project went great. They were punctual, professional, finished the job quickly, and kept a clean work site. Best of all, the price was comparable/slightly less expensive than other quotes i received. My only small complaint is that I wish I would have been given more options/information on other model options such as a direct-vent right away.

Jeff came out to our house and fixed the air gap in our toilet tank. This company is the best, and Jeff was, once again, superb at his job. He explained what he was going to do, leveled the fill valve and tube to their right heights, and explained to me what had been done. I appreciate that he takes the time to give a brief and good explanation/tutorial to the homeowner/client--useful information and preventative stuff. Nice and doesn't leave a footprint. Fast service, too.

It went very well. Jeff is great. He came, pulled the toilet, problem-solved the situation, communicated what needed to be done and remedied the problem quickly and thoroughly/ nice person, more concerned about our floors than we; left not a spot of muss.
