Nelson Landscape, Irrigation, and Outdoor Lighting is just completing an irrigation and landscape project for us. Rob Nelson and his crew have done an excellent job. He was great to work with from the beginning and through the process. Would highly recommend!

Nelson's got the job done in one day. However I did feel that there was a rushed undercureent to the process, that did result in a minor problem that I did have to correct with another contractor unrelated to sprinkler systems.

We were looking for a landscape company as we had a new patio project we wanted installed at our cabin and were also considering adding a sprinkler system. After searching online, and contacting several landscape and irrigation companies in our area, Rob Nelson from Nelson’s Landscape, Lighting and Irrigation responded to our request the same day. After meeting with Rob, his professionalism, creativity, upbeat positive attitude and price easily won him the job. Our flagstone paver patio idea, now enhanced with lighting, a stone seating wall and sandstone steps, at the suggestion from Rob, exceeded our expectations. Rob listened to our ideas, understood how we were going to use the space and helped us create a patio that we utilize all summer long. After installing the sprinkler system, the transformation of the yard into soft green grass is now a pleasure to walk through with bare feet! In fact, his pricing was so reasonable, we had him install a sprinkler system at our home and the yard is triple in size. We have recently reached back out to Rob for a redo of a patio at our home because we now know the quality of his work and wouldn’t consider using anyone else. It is important to note that Rob and his team met the timeline that we were given for our project. His communication throughout the project was great. I would and have, recommended Rob to others and know that they will be just as satisfied as we have been with the services he provides.

We met with several landscape company's and chose Nelson's for our residential backyard complete "re-do" on Rush Lake (Crosslake, MN). PART 1: Nelson's installed our entire yard sprinkler system. Rob proved that grass CAN grow in our area's sandy soil with consistent watering (since this is our weekend cabin, we could not have accomplished this without a well designed system). NOTE: I was pleasantly surprised how inexpensive this was. PART 2: Rob designed a landscape plan for our backyard, removed trees, improved the grade and made grass grow in a very shady area. PART 3: Rob designed & installed a flagstone walkway, patio and fire pit relaxation & entertainment area that really fit a tight area in our backyard. We are SO pleased with the results, just what we hoped for! Rob was great to work with, easy to reach, met with us continually throughout the projects. He continues to service our sprinkler system each spring and fall and is always available for any programming questions. We highly recommend Rob Nelson and Company for any residential project from a sprinkler system to a complete landscape design and install.

When researching outdoor lighting to have installed at our cabin in Crosslake Nelson's was the company everyone kept recommending. The service and lighting was above and beyond our expectations. Rob's knowledge and attention to detail is so impressive we also had Nelson's install not only lighting but the sprinkler system at our Saint Paul home.
