He did one and did such a great job and I had him do the other. He's extremely honest and he's very detail oriented. He only uses wood he would use for himself. He kept me totally informed about everything.

Steve dropped the boards off the weekend before last so that I could prepaint them as agreed. Then on the following Friday, Steve arrived exactly when he said he would. He replaced the damaged trim on the shed and on the house and replaced a piece of back board on the front of the house. The house pieces were caulked around to prevent water from getting behind them and causing them to rot again. We both overlooked one board on the shed that had rotted at the base and he came punctually this morning to replace it. He also did a couple other odds and ends like tack down some roof flashing that had come loose in a storm, move a strike plate so that our screen door will stay closed, and tack down the side support of our deck stairs because it was missing a screw and pulling away. Everything looks great and I couldn't be happier.

Everything went well. Steve and his crew worked neatly and efficiently. He gave us cost saving options at our estimate appointment but was willing to do what we wanted. The project was scheduled and completed quickly. The only surprises we encountered were that the previous owners did not have flashing installed when they'd put in the previous deck and there were rotted boards along the side of the house that were allowing mice and moisture to get in. He went right ahead and replaced the ruined insulation and rotten boards, then installed flashing so that this won't recur. The deck looks great and I couldn't be more pleased!
