We had our whole new roof put on in 2007. Starting in April 2013, we noticed shingles in a certain section of the roof were beginning to fall off onto the ground. Numerous attempts were made to try and get Complete Contracting (Rob Johnson's company) to come and look at the defects. We were advised on different occasions he was going to come and take a look at the roof and never showed. He finally came out 2 months later and fixed missing shingles and others that were starting to detach. He said he didn't have to come out because he is only responsible for workmanship for 1 year. Our shingles were a 30 year shingles. The following years we still have shingles falling off the roof. I have had 2 other contracters that have looked at the roof and both said it was due to improper nail gun pressure that was set wrong during installation. Nails in the failed area were driven too hard into the shingle and continue to break loose over time. Overall, I do not want to have something like this to happen to anyone else. It really leaves you in a mess when someone does not stand by their craftsmanship after spending $15,000 on a new roof that is suppose to last 30+ years. I have done everything I could do to try and work with him with no success.
Description of Work: Put on new shingles on our house.

Played phone tag for two days before finally speaking with Carla. When setting up the appointment on a Tuesday, she first stated that someone would be out on Thursday, then, when confirming the appointment, she said that it would be tomorrow. When I said, "tomorrow? that's Wednesday", she just laughed and said that she didn't know what day it was. The appointment time went from "around lunchtime" to "after twelve". Well, the "after twelve" turned out to be after four o'clock. I had errands to do, and had I known that I was going to wait around for four hours, I could have driven to town and accomplished something. When the work was in progress, I noticed that the first of the three sections that needed to be done took twenty minutes to clean. Somehow, the next two sections took the rest of two hours total. Apparently, the valleys on the roof also got cleaned, something that I did not request, as I usually do this myself. Also, Carla took it upon herself to use the plow-type shovel that was leaning against our garage to shovel the snow off the roof. Apparently, she didn't notice the two hooks on the lower edge of the shovel from years of use, or the bolt that stuck out of the bottom of the blade; this bolt scratches our wooden porch, so I don't know that I would have used it on the roof. All in all, they got the job done, but there was a definite lack of communication as to what was to be done, the time it was going to take, and the time at which it was to be performed. Perhaps this was partly my fault; next time, I will definitely get more specifics laid out before I hire a company for this service.

Contacted by COMPLETE CONTRACTING LLC after a hail storm had moved through area. We were not home at the time. I had talked to then previously about replacing roof because shingles were found to be defective. They recommended at that time to wait because although shingles were defective they were still protecting roof. COMPLETE CONTRACTING LLC was very easy to work with in finding a shingle that matched our house colors. Job was completed in a little over one day. Clean up was good and the shingles look great.
Description of Work: Replaced shingles and and all venting.

THE ROOFING CREW WAS VERY GOOD, INCLUDING BASIC CLEAN UP WITH A MINOR EXCEPTION OF LEAVING MY DRIVEWAY WITH MANY NAILS LYING ON IT AFTER THE DUMPSTER WAS REMOVED. ALSO THE ROOFERS CUT MY TV ANTENNA AND DID NOT MENTION IT OR FIX IT. ROB OFFERED TO FIX IT WHEN I MENTIONED IT.
