I think they came here in October to give us a quote. They quoted me about a thousand dollars to do some tree trimming. Well I got a quote and then I said I wanted them to come out and do it and he said he would instead of put me on his list of things to do but he didn't want to, they were Oak trees and they needed to get colder before he could trim the Oak trees. Then I didn't hear back from him. Then I called him and said don't forget I want my trees trimmed tonight and I didn't hear back from him so I would say he didn't do any work and it didn't cost me anything but he didn't communicate with me very well. I didn't have a problem with the quote, he came out and gave me the quote right away, it's sort of the follow through that I had an issue with. I mean just mainly communicate with people, you know, when they call, get back to them. The thing was he was very responsive to give me the quote. I don't know if I would use him in the future, I mean if he got back to me I'm not against giving them a try but I'm assuming, I don't know, I haven't heard from him.

Tree was trimmed well. Area was cleaned up very well. Company was in and out quickly.

No work was done at our home in regards to this provider yet, but we are strongly considering him for future work.

Ken came out to our home and was truly interested in what we needed him to do. We had a bad experience with another tree company last year and we didn't want a repeat. His bid came in at a great price and he gave us his professional opinion on what needed to happen to avoid future problems if we left trees with a new pool. We were on the schedule 4 days later and everything went smoothly! They started work at 9 am and 2 1/2 hours later all 7 trees varying in sizes were down and gone. The crew he had with him knew exactly what they were doing and made sure there was very little evidence they were even in the yard. I would definitely use Kens Tree Service again and would recommend them to anyone looking for either tree service or take down.

Ken came over to check out what we wanted done and to give us an estimate of that work. I had told him, that as part of the work, I wanted a large, living branch removed from another Scrub Oak tree. Because of his expertise as an arborist he explained to me how the tree could be seriously damaged or could possibly die if that branch was removed. Since I wanted it removed purely for more sunshine on plants, I relied on his expertise and decided to leave that particular branch untouched. Throughout the time of the estimate Ken listened patiently to our requests and explained the entire process he would follow in removing the branches he felt should be removed. We set up a tentative time for him to do the work, in conjunction with other work he would be doing in our area, and just a few days later he called and set a time to do the work. Ken followed exactly the plans we discussed during the estimate. Because of his expertise and knowledge our two trees look beautiful and our yard looks much better also. Ken is very timely and efficient in everything he does, not only the estimation but in the actual work he does. We are extremely pleased with the work he has done for us. Three years ago we selected Ken to remove our 30+ year old elm tree as it was dying from Dutch Elm Disease. When he came to do the estimation for us I mentioned that I was planning to replace it with a Sugar Maple. His knowledge as an arborist helped me make a crucial change in my choice of tree. He took the time to explain to me that there was a fairly new maple tree developed by the U of Mn called an Autumn Blaze maple. He told me it would be a much cleaner tree without the seed pods that the Sugar Maple drops. He also explained that the fall coloring of the Autumn Blaze was very much like the Sugar Maple. I decided to go with the Autumn Blaze maple and I am so glad that I had his advice to work with. Both my husband and I are very pleased with it. We will continue to use Ken for any tree services we need. We are very pleased with his honesty, the quality of his work, and his reasonable rates. We have also recommended him to several family members and friends.
