XL Carpet & Flooring

I hired XL on a recommendation from the salesman at ProSource. An XL estimator came out and measured the whole job, and I explained to him all of the work being done on the house and in what order. Once the flooring materials came in and the installer came out, the installer was uncomfortable removing floor trim, and was not qualified to install what he called a "half or quarter shoe" along the perimeter of the floor. So, now I have a floor installed with a half inch gap all the way around. XL recommended a couple carpenters that I will now have to pay to complete the job, though XL did take something of the cost of my job for the trouble. Then they didn't have the room transition materials on hand, nor the correct materials to complete the steps. When the step materials arrived the lips were too small. Once the steps were completed the step edges, or lips, do not match the flooring almost at all, and they look poor. I was told by the scheduler/receptionist at XL I would be receiving something in the mail from the salesman at ProSource who recommended XL since he owns or co-owns the company. Weeks later, I've received nothing.

They were referred to us by Pro Source. Offered a competitive bid for installation. The install had to go over 2 layers of pre-existing linoleum, and that represented special challenges.They were punctual, pleasant, polite, and did a lovely job. They encountered one issue regarding how to best put a trim piece in place between the kitchen and a carpeted room. That was left undone at the end of the day, but they called to apologize that the job wasn't done in one day. They apparently brainstormed on options, returned the next morning, offered a remedy, and again, did a lovely job.

From my first call to them till the job was done, they were very friendly and professional. It wasn't a big job, and yet they didn't act like it wasn't important that it was done right. They did a very good job and I'm happy with it.

Jimmie and his crew are awesome! This is the third time we've used them; first for installing the carpet and then twice for re-installing the same carpet when we had to pull it up due to water. They have always been efficient, professional and prompt. Excellent service - I'd use them again and again and highly recommend them!

They arrived right on time for our estimate appointment. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to work with my schedule. They had great follow up for planning and honored their commitments to install my carpet in the timeframe I needed it. The carpet feels great and the job looks great. They are very attentive and trustworthy to do business with.

Everything went really well. Jimmy was great to work with. He and his crew were courteous and had good attention to detail. They were flexible, honest and great to have working our house. When they took up the carpet in our bedroom we discovered beautiful hardwood floors. They were great when we changed our mind about covering it with carpet. They took the time to talk through some alternatives with us now that we have purchased carpet for that room. We ended up using some of the carpet as an area rug after they bound the edges and then used the rest of the carpet in my sons room. We were very happy with the results and would definitely use them again.

Jimmie Ramey, the owner, is very professional & personable. Needed daughter's bedroom re-carpeted before she got home from college. We already had the carpet but needed a pad. This was a small project. Jimmie came out and gave us an estimate and said he could do the installation that Saturday morning, to help us out. His crew showed up on time and I was pleasantly surprised that they took off their shoes upon entering the house. Both men were professional and friendly. Said the whole project should take about 1 hour. They finished on time and did a outstanding job! They picked up and removed all scraps and vacuumed. We have another bedroom that will need to be done and will definitely use them again. Jimmie said he could also provide us with carpet samples since we didn't have enough carpet left for that other bedroom project. Very happy and satisfied with the installation. Carpet looks great.

Jimmie and his crew did a great job installing carpet in our 13'x17' family room. They carefully moved furniture and did a speedy but thorough job.

Fantastic! Jimmie and his crew were on time and very professional. They picked up the new pad and carpet from the store where we purchased it and delived it to our home. They had to haul the old carpet and pad down a long, narrow hallway lined with bookshelves, and head back with the new carpet and pad the same way. They also had to move multiple pieces of large, heavy furniture into that same hallway, as well as the kitchen, in order to make room for the removal and installation.They were very careful not to disturb anything or mark up the floors. During the installation Jimmie needed to compensate for the uneven areas of our concrete floor and managed to do so without there being any evidence of the uneven areas. We had also just had all of the walls painted a week earlier and were nervous about scratches or marks getting on the newly-painted walls, but we had nothing to worry about. Jimmie and his crew were fast, thorough, and respectful of our home, and the new carpet and pad are a joy to walk on and beautiful to look at. we couldn't be more pleased, and highly recommend XL Carpet!

He got right back to us with the quote. It was for around $300. We think it's really reasonable. Jimmy, who's going to be doing the work is known in the community. He is really good. We talked with the people at the company that we bought the carpet from about who would do our carpets. They said Jimmy was great and that they loved working with him. He has a really good reputation. He just struck us as somebody who would do a really good job for us. We have hired XL Carpet LLC, but they are not scheduled to do the work until two weeks from now.

Jimmie was very professional and responsive, both in the estimate and actual installation process. He did a beautiful job installing our carpet and was very respectful of the surroundings.
