He came in to install a new sink that was deeper than our old one. So he had to move a lot of the pipes around. Got everything up and running in just under two hours.

Eddie was very nice and on time. When he was done with the job, he left the bathroom very clean.
Description of Work: We bought the toilet, ourselves and Eddie came and installed it for us.

Terrible! We contacted Ed in May to review a large scale remodel project. He was cordial, eager to meet and review the project. Upon meeting at the property, we posed several questions to him and he was very straight forward with us on what he could do, what his recommendations were.He did not feel the project was out of his scope, and he was very certain he would be able to be competitive on pricing. His bid came in very low, well underneath the others received. Ed was eager to not only get this job, but hopefully build a relationship with our management company (as we manage a lot of property in the Mankato area). We had some changes to his scope (add some material, but remove some labor) and he said he would hold fast on the price as it would be a wash- honor the price. It was explained at the onset of the initial meeting that the work would be done in July, and he was comfortable with that.Come the end of June- we are supposed to be starting the project over July 4th weekend, and my phone rings. It's Ed, and he's pulling out of the project. Literally, pulling out of the project three calendar days before he was supposed to be doing the work. Insert excuse (lost labor force) and we're supposed to be okay with it.Truth be told, he bid the project too low, got easier work lined up, and we had the project dumped....I've got a sneaking suspicion that is exactly the case.
Description of Work: Ed was to remove the plumbing stack from the basement up through the third floor of a house. Installation of a new stack, new plumbing into a new bathroom we are adding, replacement of shower stalls on the third, second, and basement levels of the home.

Response from Ed's Plumbing
Sneaking suspicions are like "assumptions". Truth be told, the agreement was contingent on the property be vacated at the time of remodel since this remodel would require the water supply to be entirely shut off. People do not like their water shut off for several hours let alone several days and four tenants is not my definition of vacated. Unfortunately, I never received the excuse for why the property was still occupied. The plans were constantly changing. The work I agreed to do was run the stack to the third floor and the new bathroom. It was never talked about to redo the showers on the first and second floor. Unfortunately, with a less than desireable work force, I felt it would be in both of our best interests to decline the work, even at the late date.

He was cordial, apologetic that he couldn't get out that day, and really thoughtful in his over-the-phone diagnosis. I can't swear that he's right (yet), but his trouble shooting logic was excellent!
Description of Work: I called Ed with what I thought was a sewer pipe emergency. He couldn't get out to the house for several days, but when I said "what do you recommend that I do?" he asked a few more questions and was able to diagnose that my problem was much more likely a groundwater-leaking-into-the-house issue, NOT a sewage-leaking-out-of-a-pipe issue. He was cordial, apologetic that he couldn't get out that day, and really thoughtful in his over-the-phone diagnosis. I can't swear that he's right (yet), but his trouble shooting logic was excellent!

Ed was referred to us by a plumber that we had used for many years who has retired. He completed all of the work we had contracted within the plumbing budget that we established. He was always on site at the time that he scheduled to be here. The quality of work was excellent and fit perfectly with the new appliances. He has a very professional demeanor. He cleaned up thoroughly each day. Additionally, he responded to phone calls quickly and was flexible when he needed to be in order to accommodate other contractors and worked well with them when needed. We will recommend Ed's Plumbing to others without hesitation.
Description of Work: We were doing a major remodel in the kitchen of our 75 yr. old home which required extensive plumbing, many new water and gas lines and upgrades of existing plumbing in order to provide for new appliances. As well, we removed and rebuilt walls, installed new cabinetry, flooring and created a space to add a laundry area in the kitchen.
