I called around for estimates for garbage removal after purchasing my new house last year. I was amazed at the responsiveness and welcoming I got from the staff at Thompsons. When I called several of the competitors I was hit with quote after quote of base charges, and endless lists of fees, taxes (both legitimate and corporate) and surcharges. One competitor even managed to provide a final charge that was double the initial quote with the prividge of charging me to pick up thier own can if I chose to cancel the service. Yikes! Thompsons answered the phone on the second ring, and I was clearly speaking to someone in an office in the city they say they are in unlike some others. I was given a quote that was very reasonable, and told the only additional fee was a 2.5% fuel surcharge. No additional taxes, penalties or fees, and no charge to stop service at any point. Simple and to the point. They have always picked up on time each week and not left a mess outside when emptying the cart. I couldn't be happier.
