Both jobs went very well. This is the very first time I have responded to an Angie's list testimonial and I do not do these types of things often. But his is different. Bob of Robert's Flooring truly earned the "A" ratings and I see that I'm not the only one that thought so. If you have ever done business with Bob you won't find a more honest, hard-working, pleasant individual. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. He works with you, he listens, and he gives you the best price possible. He is a craftsman that meets your needs--no pitch, just good honest service. Gee, I'm almost afraid of saying too much good stuff about Bob or he might raise his prices! Seriously, if you need a new kitchen floor or want to upgrade the value your house, don't hesitate to contact Bob first. Really, I had been to the "big box" stores and looked around at other vendors, both large and small, and nothing compared in price, quality, and workmanship than we got from Bob.

We are very happy with the work that Bob did. We have a 70 year-old home, and our basement is essentially a large, partially-finished mudroom that we use every day to go to/from the tuck-under garage. The existing foundation floor had some imperfections and areas that were not level, but we didn't want to put a ton of money into an area that is not completely finished (and never will be due to lack of headroom). However we wanted something that would last and stand up to the wear and tear of every day use. Bob helped us select a perfect solution that is durable, looks great, and was cost-effective. After picking out material at Bob's shop (which was great to be able to see a large sample in person), Bob came out and did all the prepwork and install himself, and took about 2 days. We selected Bob after having several other people quote the job, all of which were quite a bit pricier. I would definitely use Bob again!

This was the easiest flooring project that I ever had! Bob was very prompt in starting to work and he had ALL the work done in one day. I was amazed at the quality of his installation and how fast it was. He also cleaned up the work area really well. I love my new floor!!

I can't say enough good about my experiences with this company. It was a breath of fresh air compared to some other dealing I have had with contractors. Really nice people and very professional. I am very happy with the help I had picking out the product and colors. Rob takes pride in his work, and it shows. He spend almost 8 hours on the dining room flooring since the existing floor needed a little more help than anticipated. He didn't charge more or anything and didn't rush through it. He recommended going with Smart Strand carpet since I have pets, and I LOVE it. Cleans up so easy! Also went with the Vinyl planking and it looks great. Thank you Roberts Flooring!!!!

Bob was great to work with and prompt. After picking up samples at their store and choosing the carpet, we scheduled the install within the week. We had Bob install carpet in two other locations and will continue to use Robert's flooring.

It was a very good experience. They were very prompt. The person in the store was very knowledgeable and helpful. Bob was very pleasant to deal with. He gave good value to the work he did and we decided to hire them to do another room in another house. She said he would call that night to measure but was there to measure before I got home.

Great. Bob was wonderful. He responded quickly to our request and provided a very reasonable quote. He unfortunately was running late for the appointed time, but he called us and informed us of the problem, and also gave us a discount due to being late. He also fixed more of the carpet than we asked for because he just "wouldn't feel right leaving it that way." He had all of the necessary equipment and even helped us move the furniture to provide the best possible stretching. Bob was great! I would definitely recommend him for any of your carpet needs.

I stopped by Roberts Flooring to pick out carpet and tile and he had the job quoted by the next day. The work was completed in a single day and everything looks great. He was prompt, professional and did quality work at a reasonable price.

We asked him to start the work beginning the day we closed on buying the house. Robert was able to get the job done in four days while movers were coming & going for two of those days. He was neat in cleaning up every evening, and he left everything looking fantastic. He was very flexible in the planning stages, and would make frequent (but not too frequent, if you know what I mean) calls with questions and suggestions to keep things running smoothly. I have absolutely no complaints or criticisms. If I have any future flooring work, I'll go to Robert's first. I give Robert's my highest recommendation. We are completely satisfied with the work he did. By the way, I asked him what he does with carpeting that he rips out, since the carpeting we were replacing with wood flooring was in excellent shape. He said he gives it away at his store to college students, saying it's a way to cultivate future business. Hat's off to Robert.

We selectedd carpet at the showroom. The woman at the store was very helpful. It was even really family friendly- with a big box of toys to entertain our 2 year old while we talked carpet. We brought samples home to pick a final color. Bob called to schedule a measurement. He was prompt, professional and on time. We ordered the carpet and pad that day. Everything arrived when he said it would. He called and followed up when he said he would. He was on time for installation and everything looks great. He seamed a piece into the closet- and it's perfect. You can't even see it! We couldn't be happier.

Bob was very prompt in giving us an estimate. His store was very accommodating in helping us select a style and color of carpet. Our schedule depended on several factors (us finishing painting, delivery of new furniture) and he was extremely flexible in scheduling the actual install. Bob did a superb job installing the pad and carpet. Every facet of the job went very smoothly.

I had previously picked the vinyl out at the store. They let me take several samples to look at them at home, which helped a lot. I even went back and got more samples to take home. Staff at the store was knowledgable, friendly and very helpful. Bob came out to measure. We wanted to replace our carpet in the dining room with vinyl floor. We also wanted to replace our carpet in the living room, steps and hallway. Since the dining room is adjacent to the kitchen with different, old vinyl he suggested to add the kitchen on to the estimate. He send the estimate for everything by e-mail within a few days.The total estimate was around $3,000 which I couldn't afford all at once. We decided to only replace the dining room carpet with vinyl since that was my main concern and do the kitchen also. WE set up an appointment for install. Bob came at the agreed time and I left for work. He called me during the day to ask me about getting rid of a floor vent that wasn't functional anymore. He also needed to add a subfloor in the kitchen. Everything went well. Our new floor is beautiful. Bob did an excellent job. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. I am planning to replace the carpet soon and will definitely go with Roberts Flooring again.

From determining what we wanted at the store, the office help, the estimate, the installation and cleanup all went like clock work. very friendly, personable and knowledgeable.

The whole thing took about 15 minutes. I had to find the right guy with the right equipment. They did a great job and did what I needed. The person I first called had a knee operation and he couldn’t do anything for me. The person that he sent over here was an old partner and a guy that he used to work with. He recommended him. The guy I ended up calling lived half a mile away from me. Cork floors do shift. So, you need to take up the little boards so that you can get to the end of the cork. Then you need to put the tool down that looks like a T and the long T-part curves up. Then you need to hit the end of the T really hard and it shifts everything to tighten it up. It is used for installation too. You can move them wherever you want them by using that equipment. The guy who came out was nice. There was no clean up or anything. He just removed the pieces and put something over there. Then he tightened it all up. He also used some nails at the end to keep it from shifting. It wasn’t a huge project. The floor kept shifting and the little gaps were getting larger. They were also all in one section. If I need anything else done, I would call him back.

We were very impressed by the timeliness and quality of this work. I feared that it would be difficult to find someone who would use the carpet we removed form the house to recarpet our steps. THis work ended up being done the day after I solicited the job via e-mail! I received a prompt return call and the next day the job was done. THe quality of the work was supurb and the cost extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend Roberts Flooring to others.

After getting three different bids, we chose this company because they were price competitive for installation costs per square yard and recommended we purchase 20% less materials than other installers had requested in their bids, which ended up being a huge cost savings to us. We would absolutely hire Bob again--he was responsive to our questions, punctual, professional, worked very diligently/efficiently to finish the project, and did fantastic work!!

The showroom and guidance on carpet selection was limited however the remainder of the project was exceptional. The project started with research that included Consumer Reports and Angies List. The former provided only general guidance due to the depth and breadth of the industry. Angies rating for Mike Boutelle were exceptional however he had exited business due to injury but directed toward partner Roberts Flooring. We pursued this lead solely on the merits of Angies rating as the informal character of a family operation would normally deter us toward a more professional option. Neither mom, pop nor daughter were able to provide much guidance in navigating the complex world of carpet selection so we were never really certain that this matter was evaluated fully. However there is no doubt that the carpet is high quality and will serve us well. Once the carpet was selected, the process went exceptionally well starting with a down payment and an installation date. Bob showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner with excellent results. We consider this work to be the best of 3 carpet projects and highly recommend this contractor for installation.

We needed to replace the carpeting in our lower floor family room. We also wanted our living room/dining room carpet stretched to eliminate several areas where it was not lying flat. This problem began to be apparent not too long after the carpet had been installed (by another firm) and, over time, became fairly pronounced. To complicate matters, the carpet had a detailed pattern and the rooms had quite a bit of heavy furniture that could not easily be moved to other areas of the house to accommodate the stretching process. Bob proved himself to be a highly skilled professional. The staff at his retail site helped us choose an excellent carpet for our family room. Bob completed both the installation and the stretching projects in one day that fit conveniently in a time slot that worked well for us. The ultimate cost of the project was less than his initial estimate. The carpeting in the family room is a first rate job, The carpet lies perfectly in the room and the borders and boundaries with adjacent carpets are impeccably done. We are even more impressed with our living/dining room carpet after Bob finished stretching it. It now lies perfectly flat and Bob did a very neat job of patching in the cutout area around the heating vent. In addition to his high level of professionalism, Bob was also a friendly and responsive person to deal with. We enjoyed our conversations with him and greatly appreciated his willingness to explain what he was planning to do. We will use his services again in future when we next have a need to replace or refurbish our carpets or flooring.

My son was diagnosed with allergies to dust mites and I was told that it would be a good thing to have the carpet taken out of his bedroom and replaced with something else. I decided I wanted to redo all the upstairs bedrooms to match. I did not know a great deal about how to go about doing this so I contacted Michael Boutelle because he was someone I knew from Church and he was also the one that put the carpet in when we first moved into the house about 14 years ago. He came over and measured and also took a look at my water softener when I asked to see if it was something that a general guy would understand. He then sent me to Roberts’ Flooring to pick out something that I would like. I did that and while trying to decide if I should redo the woodwork, I asked for a sample to take to the hardware store with me and the store personnel allowed me to take the only small sample that they had. She told me to bring in back when I was done with it. I was delighted and tried to get it back to them as soon as possible. When I told Michael that I would like to redo the woodwork he said that if I wanted them to leave the floorboards off and refinish them they would come by at a later date when I was done and replace them for me! Very nice offer. Michael called and told me that the installer would be someone from Robert’s Flooring and they worked with me on the dates and times because it was going to be a difficult task to get my kids rooms and the computer room emptied out. At first I thought that I would have to empty all the rooms at one time but they gave me a couple days between each room so that I was able to shift stuff from room to room. The first day he installed the entry way flooring. The plan was to put the Linoleum over the top of the other flooring but when he started working on it, he decided that it would be better to tear off the old flooring because it was broken in at least one place and loose in others. The wall was straight but the door was crooked so the old flooring had a gap at the threshold of the door. I am sure it was not the easiest task but he did a fabulous job and it looks great! He came back another day for the next room and noticed that the carpet in the hall way is damaged and worn. He did his best to temporarily fix it. Because it was here when we moved in, I do not have any extra pieces he could use. I would have liked to replace this carpet first but “Stuff Happens” The work has been done in a very professional manner and extremely timely. He says that he will be here sometime between 8-8:30 and he is always here shortly after 8 am. He works steady and when he has to wait for something, he uses his time well and runs to do something else that is involved in my project. To be honest, I did not get any other estimates, so I do not know how it would compare with anything else out there but I am very pleased and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I was referred to Roberts Flooring by Mike Boutelle who has a great rating on Angie's List as an installer. I went to the store and worked with Robert who was very helpful and knowledgable. I brought home several samples and selected the carpet I wanted. Mike came out to my house and gave me an estimate. The estimate was good and I placed an order for the carpet. Roberts flooring did a good job of communicating throughout the entire process. My carpet end up being on back order but it came only one week later than originally estimated. Once the carpet came in both Mike and Robert came to my house to do the install. My installation had a couple of unique aspects around the staircase that I was unsure how they were going to handle, which they ended up handling nicely. The whole process was quick and smooth. In the end my final invoice ended up being less than the original estimate. Would highly recommend.

BOB WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. HE CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE TO MEASURE AND PROVIDE A COMPLETE ESTIMATE WHICH WE RECEIVED WHEN PROMISED. IT TOOK 2 DAYS TO INSTALL THE FLOOR AND IT LOOKED BEAUTIFUL WHEN HE WAS FINISHED. BOB INSTALLS THE WOOD LAMINATE HIMSELF AND IT WAS QUALITY WORK. I WILL CERTAINLY HIRE HIM AGAIN.
