Competitively priced among 3 bids. Quality product. Roof removal and installation completed in 1 day. Debris was removed same day with dumpster. Warranty certificate arrived in mail promptly. No issues throughout project. Would recommend to friends and family.

We hired Tonka Roofing to replace our existing roof. Rich provided us a number of samples and recommendations for shingles and venting along with his estimate. Once we made our choice he got us scheduled and the tear off and installation work came and went very quickly. Cleanup was done well and we’re very happy with the result

Tonka Roofing did a perfect job with our new roof. Rich came out to measure & estimate our project in April. He answered all of our questions & provided a competitive quote. After getting a few more estimates, we went with Tonka Roofing for several factors. Our project was completed in mid-June & the roof project was completed in 1 day. The crew did a great job with tear off, putting new shingles on, & cleanup after everything was done. Rich stopped by the next day to double check everything. The gutter covers were completed the following day by another crew. Everything has been perfect & couldn't be happier with the new roof. We would recommend Tonka Roofing to anyone looking for roofing work! 10/10

Rich and Tonka Roofing were great. Rich is not high pressure sales and gives information to you straight. He is extremely responsive and professional. The quality of work is superior. The crew was also amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Had some water stains ina guest bedroom and requested someone to take a look at the roof and quote cost to fix. Rich responded same day and said he could stop out the following day. He let us know when he was on his way, on time, took a look at the roof and immediately fixed the suspected issue. He was incredibly professional and communicated well. I would recommend him to anyone with roof issues!!!

They respond quickly and gave good recommendations on how to fix broken gutters. The project was very successful and inspector says they did a good job. The warranty provided with the job is nice also.

We had used Rich Martinson and Tonka Roofing for two previous roof issues after finding him though Angie's List and receiving estimates from 3 companies. We contacted him for this a complete re-roof and some gutter installation and again, the overall experience was excellent. Rich and his staff are honest, professional and trustworthy. He gave us options on the various roof/shingle products including prices - there were no hidden costs. His communication about the job, completion dates, and were excellent and explained to us in detail. He provided address's of recent roof jobs with shingles we were considering so we had an idea of what the total roof looked like, not just a swatch. This aided us greatly in our selection of style and color shingles. The work was completed on time, clean-up was immaculate and the workmanship high quality and we could not be more pleased. There was some chimney work which needed completed prior to the roof project and Rich assisted in coordinating that work to be completed first. We definitely recommend Tonka Roofing to others. This is the second time I have worked with Rich and his team and I continue to be blown away with their service and quality. I don’t know that a better roofing company exists in the twin cities. Rich is honest and thorough. He personally makes sure the jobs are done quickly and correctly and is a quick communicator and easy to get a hold of. We had large problems with water in our basement with all of our broken gutters but after having Tonka Roofing install brand new beautiful black gutters the problem has vanished. Highly recommend Tonka Roofing!

Went through an extensive bid process and Rich was competitively priced, extremely knowledgeable, professional, and our clear choice for the job. His crew didn’t disappoint. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. Even during the process, appreciated the level of communication, overall speed of completion, and care they took in cleaning up. Had some issues with previous home owners properly venting bathroom vent pipes, Rich ensured those were capped properly, so now we’re set for MN winters. Would highly recommend these guys for roofing projects.

Rich the owner was honest and upfront with me from our initial meeting through completion of project. I immediately felt I could trust what he was telling me and that's important, especially in an industry that is full of horror stories. The pricing for the project was very fair and competitive. The most important was the final product - it looks great. The work crew were very professional and respectful and clearly were interested in doing a good job. I was especially impressed by the cleanup - I have yet to find any stray nails. The roof passed inspection with no problems. I definitely recommend Tonka Roofing.

Very well. Professionally managed and performed. On time....and before the spring rains, as we had a very old/damaged roof. Rick got us in on the very first of the spring, so that we could avoid any damage to the interior. Friendly, honest, communicative--couldn't ask for a better contractor

The project went very well. The owner/estimator Rich was very thorough explaining my options and the pricing. He kept me informed of the timing of the work. Rich worked with the insurance company about pricing and timing, which meant I didn't need to do it. The crew was excellent, courteous, very hard workers on hot summer days, stayed on the job to completion (3 days) and did an excellent job of cleanup of the old roofing debris. There were a lot of hail damaged roofs in the Metro area, so we had to wait until the following season to get the job done, however I had no problem with that as there were no leaks in the damaged roof. Once an install date was established, the crew arrived.

Rich and his crew were great! When Rich came out to do the bid, he took the time to look everything over carefully and explained some problem areas he would address. He also went over all of the product options, available colors and left samples. The other companies just measured the roof and left. One thing we really appreciated was that the job was done in one day. By the end of the day the site was cleaned up, the dumpster was gone, and the roof looked great!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this company is to work with. Their employees are detailed, very skilled, thorough, punctual, and communicate well. This was not an easy job (older house that had not been maintained well) and numerous items/issues were uncovered as we got into it. Rich was excellent through the entire process, trying to solve the issues as they came and working with us through the project. He also is very nice, I’m sure our additional items pushed him behind schedule, but he was always pleasant and the guys never rushed. The end product was outstanding and we couldn’t be happier. We highly recommend Tonka Roofing!

Rich was the most impressive in terms of his knowledge and his willingness to meet the schedule required by my insurance company. He was very straightforward and honest. One of my jobs, before retirement, included managing construction and Rich passed all the "smell tests". The roof looks great, the neighbors were happy with the work and the outcome, the job was delivered on time and within budget, and I would recommend him without reservation. I also had Rich add covered gutters at my own expense.

Rich and his team were wonderful! He was very straightforward with reasonable costs and even helped repair fascia boards on the garage that were rotten before adding the shingles.
