Tonka Roofing

The service went well. 2-3 technicians came out and completed the job in part of a day. They were neat in their work and cleaned up after themselves. They took care of some small details we needed done around the house. I have used the company several times and they have always provided a good service. They are prompt and are pleasant to work with. I have had no problem scheduling their service when I need.

Rich was prompt and professional about meeting with me to discuss what my house needed. We set up a time to have the roof removed and new one put on-- the job was thoroughly completed in the two day time frame. Beforehand, I was concerned about debris being left in the yard because of my dog, but the crew did a great job cleaning up.

Rich was quick to get back to us. Put us on his schedule right away and completed work on time. Great service for a relatively small job. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

We contacted Rich after we had suspected hail damage. Although Rich and three other professional roofers felt that there was damage that should be covered by insurance, we were not able to come to an agreement with the insurance company. Rich came several times while we negotiated with the company, and was always available when we had questions. He was very helpful in helping us finding a company to repair our chimney, as well. We were happy to work with a local company and our experience was great.

The crew from Tonka Roofing were very professional and hard working. We were surprised by how much got completed in the 10 days they worked on our house. Having two boys under 3, the crew were great about picking up nails or tools at the end of their work day and making sure any ladders or dangerous materials were taken care of. When the work was complete, the house looked wonderful and the piece of mind knowing that the work was done by experienced professionals goes beyond the house looking great. Rich was in constant contact with us at every stage of the process and he was a great advocate for us. We would certainly use his crew and him again.

It was very good. I think their pricing is okay; it's reasonable.

Rich made sure we knew what our choices were for materials, quality, costs, by showing us samples and product manufacturer's details and guarantees ahead of time. He also worked with our insurance company to see if we could claim anything from hail damage, but we couldn't. That helped a lot, though because it meant we knew ahead of time that we'd covered all possibilities and he made it easy for us. Rich also helped us to see how outdated our venting was (and it truly was!) and explained the benefits and costs of installing more vents on both the roof and in the eaves so our attic and roof area could breathe and handle moisture. It turned out that our chimney was falling apart (we sort of knew that) and he gave us the name of someone he trusted who also did a great job. Our gutters absolutely needed to be replaced and Rich's recommendation worked well there, too. For each of these jobs we got two other estimates, so we didn't just blindly trust that this would be great. Rich served as the general contractor coordinating what needed to be done and when the gutters weren't done completely to our satisfaction, Rich took care of getting that fixed up. Rich even let me spread out the payments for several months, which was a big help for our budget! We highly recommend Tonka Roofing.

I like the fact that when you call the company, the owner answers the phone, not someone who has to relay messages. Plus they are local to our area of town. Rich came out right away, was honest about his bid, and recommended quality products. The work went great, looks great and we even referred him to our neighbor. Great company to work with !

Rich was great and so easy to work with. Flashing was installed improperly by previous homeowner and our cedar siding had rotted. Work was completed in less than a week and we were very happy with the final outcome. I will definitely contact Rich again when it comes to our roof.

Everything was fine. I actually did the work myself to save money.

The job was done on the day he said it would be done . The roof and gutter looked great after it was done. There were no shingles, nails or any other roof related objects in the grass around the house. The price he quoted was what he charged. The only problem he had was his crew had equipment failure but he had it corrected in about hour. His crew was done by 8 pm that night even with the equipment failure.

I got a good picture of the condition of my roof and the costs involved and there was no pressure. I ultimately decided to have all the problems addressed. The crew was punctual and professional...all debris was removed and the cost did not exceed the estimate. I would highly recommend this company.

Rich was incredibly helpful and responsive to our need for more roof ventilation. We would definitely use his services again.

Came out to give estimate and was on time. Completed the roof and gutter in one day they had to special order the siding to match the rest of the house so that was a couple weeks latter. Everything was done in the highest profesional mannor; clean up was exceptional. To the point after they cleaned up I only found three missed nails thats like one shingles worth. I would recomend Tonka Roofing to everyone. After the hail storm went through we had so many people comming through our neighbor hood we feel blessed that we chose the best.

Repiar was done on the very first visit and at a price that seemed very resonable. We have had no problems since.

He was great to work with; he was thorough; detailed, explained things to me and was very professional. Another company was unprofessional when they determined the leak and job was small - Tonka Roofing took the time to work with me even though it was a small job and for that I am very grateful and would definately use them again.

It was very nice working with Rich and the crew at Tonka Roofing. Rich answered all my questions as they came up and provided everything I needed to feel comfortable with the job they were going to do. On the day of the work, the crew all showed up as required and began working right away to get the job done. The crew was very professional and I could tell they knew what they were doing. I was also pleased to see them use the proper safety tools and processes to keep themselves safe. The crew had their supervisor and Rich was also there to make sure things went well. The cleanup was good and the yard, the house and the roof all look good.

Rich was very helpful and responsive and worked with me throughout the planning, insurance and the job.They did a big job in about one day. That's great to have roofers get in and out of there that quickly. Before, with a prior contractor, it took three days and that's a pain. I'd recommend Tonka Roofing to anyone.

They did not charge me to take a look. They were punctual and professional. It turned out I did not have a leak in my roof.

Excellent. He explained why I was getting ice damns. Then removed the snow and was willing to work with me to remove snow in the future at a reasonable rate.

We were having a problem of leakage around the gas fireplace during select heavy rains. It only happens once or twice a year, but finally decided to get it taken care of. Called Tonka Roofing because I noticed they had reviews of other small fixes, and hoped this would just be an easy caulking fix. Rich came out within a day or two of my initial contact. We talked about what was going on, but due to the steep pitch on our roof, he needed different equipment and could not go up on the roof that day. Several days later he did come back to go up on the roof. Due to the pitch and where the stack is, he had to use a roof harnass to get down to the stack, where he confirmed that only half of the stack had been caulked. He caulked that area, then went around to other areas on the roof (plumbing stacks, etc.) to re-caulk. Afterward, gave me an assessment of my general roof condition, which at this time is good (13 years old) but will require some new plumbing stacks within the next five years. Cost was $50 more than originally quoted, but that seemed fair due to having to use the harnass plus the other work he did as part of the service call. It's good to know there is someone who will come out for small fixes without trying to sell you a whole new roof.

After their great job on the roof, I had them replace the soffit and fascia as well. They were there when they said they would be and finished in the time expected. Quality of the work was excellent.

They showed up on time and completed the whole job in one day. They called when they found that the damage to the corner of the roof was greater than expected and gave me a quote to fix it. I oked the change and that was completed by the end of the day. Explained that the damage to the shingles was partly due to no vents on the garage. All contact with them was very professional and would not hesitate using them again.

We experienced some noise from our roof and when we investigated, it appeared that the flashing was missing in spots. We called them and they came out the same day and gave us an estimate for repairing the flashing and replacing gutters. We decided only to replace the flashing. They came out the next morning and did the entire job in less than an hour. Very professional people. We would definitely use them again.
