Rodney replaced our cedar shake roof and skylights after they were damaged by hail. We also wanted to install a bath fan and a ceiling fan, since we have no attic in our home it needed to be done while the roof was off. He was able to coordinate with the electrician to get those things done in a timely manner with the roof. He worked with our insurance company and made the process go very smoothly. We love how everything turned out, and would (and have) definitely recommend this company to family and friends.

We were in the process of purchasing a home and the home inspector we hired suggested we have a roofing contractor inspect the roof further, due to some condensation in the attic. I contacted Rod Oldenburg at Why Wait Roofing on Christmas eve day. I was very apologetic for contacting him on Christmas eve, and explained we were under a time crunch with a fast closing date. Rod was great about it and got out to the house the day after Christmas. He inspected the attic and roof as I had asked, and because he noted a couple of issues, he took care of those on the spot. I was in no position to argue about the cost of his service, since I needed it done right away during Christmas time. He sent me an invoice which was very fair. We were very happy dealing with Rod and with the work that he did. He has our strong recommendation.
Description of Work: Why Wait Roofing provided inspection of the attic and roof on a home we were purchasing, and also performed some maintenance.

It was a small job, but way too high for me to be able to get to it. Several contractors passed on the job because it was too small for them. Why Wait Roofing responded right away, gave me a quote, and performed the work very quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this company.

We called and a man came and did the job the next day. No trouble at all.

Description of Work: They removed my existing roof and replaced with new shingles. They replaced failing plywood at a low cost and replaced all box vents with a ridge vent for improved ventilation. The work was performed quickly and in a high quality manner.

They came in and did the estimate, they weren't the lowest or the highest bid we had, but they listened to what we wanted and worked with us without trying to oversell. They were here promptly when they said they would be and did the job quickly and efficiently. Roof looks great, no issues and very please with their professionalism and workmanship! We use them again.
Description of Work: Removed old Shingles and flashing, replaced with new architecturally pleasing shingles and flashing. Cleaned up and hauled away all debris. Magnetic sweep of property for any stranded nails.

While I dreaded the expense of replacing my roof, and admittedly put it off as long as I could, working with Rodney was a pleasure. He is very professional, prompt, his crews cleaned up well, and they were done within two days. One minor issue came up when the gutter guards were mistakenly torn out along with the old roof. However, Rodney righted the issue without hesitation. Plus, our new roof is beautiful and gave me peace of mind during the harsh winter. I'd recommend him to anyone.

.Rodney and team did a great job getting all of the work done on my home after a hail storm. They were very responsive, thorough, and paid attention to detail. If there were any small details overlooked, Rodney quickly came out to review and arranged for corrections. He was also helpful in following up with the insurance company. I will use him for other work in the future.

The owner came by on Wednesday to go over details and called that night and said his crew would be there friday which they were and finished up the same day. Description of Work: After damage from 2 prior hail storms, our insurance company denied our claim when the roof company that they had recommended didn't show for the inspection. Our neighbors were using Why Wait Roofing and I went down and spoke to Rodney the owner and explained the circumstances. Rodney worked with our homeowners company and got everything authorized.His crew was fast, professional and left our yard and plantings in great shape. The roof looks great.We had them come back in June 2012 and put in new gutters.

After Spring storm, asked Why Wait Roofing for estimate after insurance company inspection. Estimate was fast and repair work scheduled quickly. Work was performed with great workmanship and turn time. I would recommend Why Wait Roofing (a local company) to any in need of roof repair.

Description of Work: I noticed a water leak in my basement on Monday morning. It was very early at about 6:30 am. I picked up the phone to leave a voice message for a return call and was suprised when the owner picked up the phone. He and his wife were both under the weather and not feeling good but he talked to me anyway. He came over in 5 hours and put caulking around the leaking vent and put caulking around the other vents. The previous roofer did not. I will call him with any job and my family and friends will be referred.

They came within 15 minutes of my phone call. Our job was an emergency as we had water pouring into our garage. The owner, Rodney, came out himself. He arrived very quickly as he was in the area. He immediately went up into the attic, discovered exactly where the problem was, and then went to work. He had it done probably in an half hour. He went above and beyond the call of duty, put roof ice melt tablets in the gutter and cleaned the ice dam off. He plans on coming back in the spring to do full roof fix. Exceptional service and care. I know that he is also going to be doing work for a friend and some neighbors.

I was very impressed with the presentation and I thought the bid was very reasonable. The principle was very professional. He wanted to come out in person to show me the options on roofs and tell me about his company. He wasn't pushy when it came to the order, there was no pressure whatsoever. he did follow up with me a couple of times to see if we wanted to do the work. I decided to put the job off until the spring.

Do get more than one bid unless you have solid referals. Do hire a contractor who is hands-on. Do watch out for salesman in suits that often just subcontract to work out at a large markup. Do ask for lien releases if workers are not employees. Do check with the BBB "Why Wait Roofing, LLC" is BBB Accredited business since 04/16/2003. Based on BBB files, Why Wait Roofing, LLC has a BBB Rating of A+ on a scale from A+ to F. Do check that the contractor is licensed and insured. Do ask for references in your area with each bid. Do get all terms in writting. Do analyize bids, ask questions, be sure what is included, some bids I got did not include the prices of permits, etc. You want a bid that includes everything, including top notch materials. Why Wait Roofing was not the lowest prices bid but it was the best bid.
Description of Work: Replaced 2 roofs, both sides of 1 twin home. Tear-off old roofs, replace old skylight with new Velux skylight, replace vents, add drip edges, build new larger saddles for chimneys, install new Certainteed 30yr singles, cleanup yard and haul away all debris. Roofs also had 2 solar tubes which were removed and re-installed. Additionally,repaired facia boards next to chimney. Filled out paperwork for rebate on new singles and warranty claim on old singles. I received 2 checks totaling about $1400 the following month. Also, I received a 4-star Extended Warranty from Certainteed, covers materials, tear-off, labor and disposal for 15 years and is transferable. This was a no cost extra since Rodney and his crews are certified by Certainteed. Rodney is hands-on. He was up on the roof overseeing roofing as necessary. Also, he personally installed the new skylight and rebuilt the saddles. Very happy with quality of work, cleanup and attention to detail. Good value for $$.
