Professional Plumbing Solutions offer senior discount & military discount.
"Had to replace water heater and wanted to get a comparison between tankless and traditional heater. Had received a quote from gas company for replacement cost and Professional Plumbing Solutions was very similar in replacement cost for traditional. He wasn't as knowledgeable about tankless heaters and did not want to supply the unit in case it failed, so I would have had to go to a retail store to buy the unit myself and he would install it. Had I chosen to go tankless, I probably would have shopped for another installer that was more familiar with this style of water heater. Ultimately it came down to the gas company providing warranty on labor for the entire warranty period (12 yr) vs. 5 years from Professional Plumbing Solutions. This is still a great warranty on labor, but an additional 7 years is tough to beat. I would have no issue having Professional Plumbing Solutions do other work for me in the future."

"Contacted the owner for a small drywall repair project. He provided a quote and we set up a time for him to come out and complete the work. I sent him a message the morning before to make sure we were still on and received a text at 9:12pm that night saying he wouldn't be able to make it as he was still tied up at another job. We rescheduled for later in the week. I sent him another message the day before to make sure we were still on, so I wouldn't have to waste another day of PTO. He told me that he had an inspection, so would have to push the start time back about an hour and a half but would still be able to make it out. The next day, I sent him messages at 8:30, 11:30 and 3:30 and left a voicemail at 1:00 and never got any response and he never showed up. I understand that contractors can have jobs last longer than planned and that you don't want to leave before the project is complete, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt after the first cancellation but after the second time with absolutely no communication, I would definitely NOT recommend them for any projects. I've now wasted 2 days of PTO waiting for him to show up and he still hasn't responded to any of my messages or given any explanation as to why he didn't show up."

RightMark LLC is a plumbing company based out of Buffalo, MN. RightMark LLC is a Women Owned Business. I have been Married to a Plumber for 25 yrs. and still find that in order to get a job done the women needs to take that on. So I decided to start RightMark LLC to help anyone that needs to get the Honey Do lists completed.
"Rightmark was a sub contractor on a complete kitchen remodel and expansion of a 1/2 bath into a laundry room. The hot/col water to the kitchen sink was reversed. The copper nailing plate to hold the two incoming hot/cold lines wasn't ever secured, so they had to tear out a large section of drywall to repair it. They feed the cold water line to the dishwasher instead of the hot line. The drain line from the laundry sink never passed inspection, and they never resolved that with the city inspector. They used PEX plastic incoming hot/cold and now we have a strong bleach type smell out of the cold for the first 30 seconds of use. We built this house in 1985, and have never had this problem. We are forced to test the water and perhaps have the PEX lines removed and done over or replaced with traditional copper. Just sloppy, unprofessional work at our home."

The license requirements for water softener installation depend on your location. Some municipalities require that the installer hold a plumbing license, some require a permit and an inspection, but no license for the installer, and some require a permit and a license for the installer. Regardless of the local laws in your area, it’s always a good idea to hire a licensed plumber or installer. These pros will install your system properly and have the experience to size the system appropriately. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to check your installer’s license status.
The cost to install a water softener system is $1,500 on average, ranging between $200 and $6,000. The labor for water softener work typically costs between $150 and $1,000, so you can add that to your equipment costs to get an accurate total. Your price will depend on many factors, including the following:
System capacity
Home size
Water hardness levels
Type of water softener
Presence of electricity in the installation area
Local permit costs
Water softeners are worth the money if you live in an area with hard water. Hard water is safe to drink, but it poses serious threats to your plumbing system. The minerals in hard water will gradually build up on the inside walls of your pipes, reducing water flow to your fixtures. The minerals can also gradually corrode your plumbing system, reduce its lifespan, and increase the risk of leaks. Hard water also makes soap and detergent less effective. Water softener systems can solve all these issues, making them a great investment.
It’s possible to install a water softener yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Water softeners require working with copper pipes and electrical wiring, neither are suitable tasks for most DIYers. Plus, working with water and electricity together is dangerous and could pose a risk to your safety. Water softeners also need to be calibrated so that they don’t make your water too soft, as soft water poses just as many risks as hard water. Overall, it’s well worth hiring a local water softener installer to place your water softener system.
Your water softener size is based on your total household water consumption. In most cases, you can assume the average household member will use around 75 gallons per day. Multiply that by the number of people in your home, then multiply by 10 (for the typical grains per gallon). You’ll get a number in grains that should help roughly size your water softener. However, it’s best to hire a professional to install your system and use more exact numbers, like your exact average water consumption per day and starting water hardness.
