Brothers Contracting

We were very pleased with all the work. It was timely and very well done and very professional. We have received a lot of nice compliments for the all the work done.

Chris was on time to provide the estimate. He did some measuring and we agreed he would email me the estimate. While his price was very competitive (maybe too much so?), I just did not get the impression that he would do as thorough of a job as others I had out to bid on the job.

They did a great job. They were on time. They did the touch up. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves.

We had requested a smooth finish. They used a textured paint to match our dining room. When we pointed this issue out they sanded the walls and repainted at no extra cost. We were pleased with the end product and would call them again

I FOUND BROTHERS CONTRACTING ON ANGIES LIST. I HAD OTHERS DO ESTIMATES AND I WENT WITH BROTHERS CONTRACTING. I HAVE HIRED OUT FOR OTHER PROJECTS IN THE HOUSE AND I HAVE TO SAY I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER WITH A PROJECT OUTCOME. I WAS VERY NERVOUS TO PAINT THE WOOD TRIM (it was the 1990's very common honey oak trim--nothing fancy). I WENT TO TWO DIFFERENT PAINT STORES AND SPOKE TO PAINT EXPERTS ABOUT HOW PAINTING INDOOR TRIM SHOULD BE DONE. BROTHERS CONTRACTING WAS RIGHT ON. THEY PAINTED THE TRIM AROUND THE WINDOWS AND DOORS AND ALSO THE STAIRWAY BANISTER. THEY ALSO PAINTED AN ACCENT WALL, MADE REPAIRS TO OTHER WALLS AND PAINTED THEM AND THE ENTRY DOORS AND THE FIRE PLACE MANTEL. THEY INSTALLED NEW BASEBOARDS. THE BASE BOARDS WERE CAULKED AND LOOK SO NICE. THE PAINTED WOOD TRIM REALLY LOOKS GREAT. I AM SO GLAD I DECIDED TO GO FOR IT AND I THINK THE DIFFERENCE IS GOING WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE PRO'S. THE MAIN FLOOR LOOKS SO DIFFERNT NOW AND WE LOVE IT AND OUR GUESTS JUST LOVE IT! A BIG DIFFERENCE I NOTICED WITH THIS COMPANY COMPARED TO OTHER CONTRACTORS: (1) THE BROTHERS CONTRACTING GUYS WERE CONSTANTLY FOCUSED ON DOING THE JOB RIGHT AND MAKING EVRYTHING LOOK GREAT. THEY INSPECTED AND RE-INSPECTED THEIR WORK TO MAKE SURE IT WAS GREAT QUALITY WORK ALL THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT. (2) THEY FOCUSED ON MY PROJECT. I NEVER FELT LIKE THEY WERE SQEEZING ME IN BETWEEN OTHER PROJECTS. THEY DID NOT RUSH MY PROJECT. (3) THEY WERE DONE IN THE AMOUNT OF TIME THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE. (4) THE GUYS HAD NICE, EASY GOING DEMEANORS AND IT IS OBVIOUS THEY LOVE THEIR JOB AND TAKE PRIDE IN IT. I FEEL LIKE I GOT A GREAT DEAL. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT ON.

From our first interaction, Brothers Chris and Brian were great. We had them in October come and give a very fair bid to remove wallpaper, demolish and remove old built-ins, repair walls and ceilings, and then paint everything. Their price stayed the same even with some challenges; their timeline was accurate; and they are great guys in general. So much so we had them back in the Spring to remove a hallway popcorn ceiling and repair and repaint. These guys are trustworthy, good at the work and we will no doubt be using them in the coming months to complete some other work!

I was very pleased with all of their work and they continually told me if we had ANY problems to please call and they would be over right away to get it fixed. Very trustworthy and very reliable.

Went very smooth. Chris was punctual for both the estimate and the work itself. Work was started when promised and finished when promised.

Brothers came out and quoted our work the day after we called them. They were on time and very professional. They were able to do the work at the beginning of the next week and had a very reasonable price. We hired them and they completed the work. It took a bit longer than they expected, but they didn't change their quoted price. The basement looks like we remodeled. They did a great job.

They were so thoughtful. They did a good job. They were very dependable. I am very happy with everything they did. I like that they supported my ideas. If needed, I would use them again.

Brian did the estimate and the work. The job took longer than expected because on the first day he discovered there were three separate layers of wallpaper on the foyer walls. He got the whole thing stripped to Sheetrock, smoothed the Sheetrock with mud, sanded and painted, 2 coats. The work included an area over the staircase to the lower level which looked precarious but did not give him any trouble. The whole project stretched out over 5 days, but some of those were half days just waiting for things to dry. I note on my bill that despite the 3 layers of wallpaper, the original estimate has been honored.

They came by to look at the work that needed to be done and emailed me a quote. I then asked for a new quote via email and phone with fewer services since the original quote was a lump sum but I haven't heard back from them and it's been two weeks.

Brian was on time and provided an estimate within 36 hours. Although his estimate was the lowest out of the three bids I obtained, he would not have been able to start the work right away. As a result, I hired another company from Angie's List who was able to start immediately. Brian impressed me with his knowledge and experience. I would definitely hire his company for another project in the future.

It was great. They started when they were going to and they finished when they were going to. They were neat and they left things tidy at the end of every day. I was very satisfied.

They showed up on time and got the work done right. They were friendly and courteous to me. The work looked very good for the price. They told me two days and it took two day so I really like that. The helped me choose the new colors for the bathroom which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Chris was responsive in returning phone calls, coming to write up an estimate, and answering my follow-up questions. The estimate was detailed, which I appreciated. He and his brother arrived on time the first day; the second day they were slightly late due to bad weather. The first day they filled the cracks, taped and did other prep. They painted the second day. They did good quality work. There was more dust in the house in days after they left than I expected. Because I haven't had professional interior painting done previously I don't know what is reasonable to expect.

We had asked that the paint on the walls be easy to clean as we have young children. They put on a gritty textured paint. When we pointed out this contradiction, Chris was glad to come in and spend a day smoothing out the walls and repainting. They did an overall good job and we were pleased. We plan to use them again in the future.

I had water damage from several different things over the summer in my condo unit. They repaired sheet rock in five units and in the basement. They were just so nice to work with. I would tell them something, and they would tell me that it was no problem. Two brothers do the work. They even fixed my closet door that didn't work very well. He also looked at some other projects in the building as well that he told us he could work on them. Their prices were half of what two other companies were going to charge me. They were very nice to work with. I would use them again.

Brother's Contracting did a very nice job. My house is old and there was a considerable amount of prep work required. These folks were prompt and professional and my house looks great.

One of the rooms that they were working in the bulbs on two light fixtures burnt out and I went to the room the other day to change the burnt out bulbs and they already did so with out me asking them. A++++ service. They did absolutely outstanding work and they also were very efficient with completing the work.

I gave them times to best call my house, I have an answering machine. They have never called back.

I got two bids for this job and they were virtually identical in price. I chose Brothers Contracting because painting is their primary business. (The other one was a general handyman.) They couldn't do the work right away but promised it'd be done in time and done well. It was done very well, though it was delayed and done barely in time. As a result, I was pleased with the final product but didn't feel I was as much of a priority as their other clients. For that reason I would not use them again.

Brothers Contracting sanded and painted the wood window framing around eleven windows and two doors. We had new vinyl windows installed and needed the old, wooden window frames painted white to match. Brothers Contracting did all the work in one day and the results look great. I definitely recommend Brothers Contracting for exterior and interior (they painted my living room a couple years ago) painting and would use their services again.
