We purchased a new home which was in excellent condition but seriously dated. We wanted to redecorate and do some structural changes before we moved in. We pulled up the old carpet and replaced it with lovely maple hardwood floors. We had the popcorn ceilings removed, we repainted the walls, had new baseboards installed to achieve consistency, selected light fixtures, purchase new furniture, and made a number of other minor but important changes to hinges, doorknobs, and that sort of thing in order to achieve a coordinated and finished look. Vicki offered us a variety of services at a reasonable price: she offered design advice on colors and finishes, she went to the store with us to look at furniture and rugs, she did research to help us find special fixtures, and finally, we asked her to take on the project management so all this could be coordinated with minimum hassle for us. She does an outstanding job of project management. She also has excellent connections to skilled specialists who are really a joy to work with. She put us in contact with her flooring guy, two different carpenters , a painter, a window treatment specialist, and others. These craftspeople were all professional, responsive, and did excellent work. Everybody who comes into our home comments on how lovely it looks. We tried working with several other designers before we met Vicki. It is not easy to find someone who is capable and pleasant to work with. When we met Vicki, we discovered she has good ideas but is flexible. She is responsive and affordable. And she's fun to work with! We initially started with Vicki on the basic work. But we enjoyed working with her so much that we expanded the project and continued to work with her on a number of things. We recommend Vicki enthusiastically for design, research, and project management.

Vicki worked diligently from start to finish for our project. She helped us with color selection and design. We then chose to use her as our general contractor, and she brought in her painter, plumber, electrician, and others to design and install our new fireplace area and kitchen. We also had wood floors installed and refinished. Each of her contractors were knowledgeable, polite, and reliable. Yes, we ran into a few problems. All projects of this size run into a few problems. But Vicki assisted us each step of the way and guided us through to a finished product which we love and which stayed on budget. I would highly recommend Vicki to anyone wanting assistance with a design or a remodeling project.

It went great! She gave me great suggestions including paint color and fabric samples. Offered to help with whatever I needed but did not make me feel obligated to use her or her any of her contacts to complete the work. Was flexible with my timeframe.

Our remodel was an amazing experience. It lasted about 4 weeks from demo to completed work and the focus was the kitchen where we knew we wanted to update the 20 year-old design, but after we decided to replace the oak floors with maple, we ended up freshening up most of the main floor. With Vicki's help, we had great talented craftsmen contribute to the project. Vicki's commitment and engagement with us throughout the project was just what we needed. Since this was the first remodel we had ever done, we needed someone who had the design talent, the connection to materials and the network of resource pros who could work on our home. Vicki brought all of this to the table, and more. Design Talent--Vicki is a designer who is current with trends and colors, but visited with us to get a feel for our home and our needs before she recommended what to change. Her insights were helpful both for what we wanted now, but also for what would contribute to our home's resale value in the future. I was impressed with how connected we were to Vicki throughout and how connected she remained with the pros who were working on our home. Connection to materials--as a professional designer, Vicki had the connection to the wholesale suppliers of tile, counters, flooring, cabinets, etc. that we needed for our remodel. She provided samples that we could have or borrow to use as we made our choices and pulled the design together. She met us at the resource location when it was convenient for us and helped decide on the wood, counter and tile. Network of resource professionals--as good as Vicki was, the team she surrounded us with for the work was also impressive. The pros were not only prompt, talented and good partners, they were accountable and responsive to our questions and to any things we changed as we got further into the work. Vicki stayed in close contact with these partners who were also really good people as well. We are thrilled with the outcome of our remodel and could not have done it without Vicki's expertise, connections and partnership throughout!

Vicki is a positive and upbeat creative professional. She injected great ideas and energy into my home improvement projects. Vicki addressed all of my questions and left me with written recommendations. These recommendations included specific paint colors with samples, counter top material choices, direction for tile back splash design and materials, window blinds, and light fixtures. We also discussed furniture arrangement and directions for art and textile accents. I really appreciated her thoughtful guidance.

Vicki was very helpful and gave me several great suggestions for low cost-high return upgrades for my home. She provided me with her written comments and also suggested a couple of companies to help with services.

This is the second time I've hired Vickie to give me interior design ideas and recommendations. I took advantage of an Angie's List Best Deal. She was punctual and professional. She gave me ideas on proper furniture placement in my awkward living room space, color recommendations, tips for furnishing and window treatment ideas for my 3 season porch, all of which I am in the process of implementing. She offered her vast resource knowledge to help implement these improvements and said I could call her at anytime. I appreciate the fact that she does not contact me for followup; rather she gives me some space. I know she is there when I next need her, and I will contact her when I am at that stage in my projects. i would recommend her in an instant to those looking for interior design and color ideas.

She rescheduled multiple times and we have one hour to do still for next week. I kept having to follow up with her to reschedule. She had some good ideas, but there wasn't much prep of what I was looking for beforehand. She just kind of showed up.

It went fine. I don't remember the time but it was appropriate. We contacted her and scheduled it. The schedule was convenient for the both of us. The experience was just fine. There were no problems. The price was fine. The quality was fine. It was excellent.

Vicki came to our house and talked to us about what advice we were looking for. After discussing our needs she made several very helpful discussions and made plans to search for some fabrics for windwo valences and planned to return with the fabric samples. When she did we chose one of the fabrics and she arranged for the seamstress to make the valances. She came back again when the valances were installed- we are very happy with them. We enjoyed working with Vicki and hope to use her services for our next home decorating project

Paid for 2 hour consultation she picked out fabrics and then charged me an addition $100. for additional hours????

Vickie was on time and very professional. She put me at ease at once with her friendliness. Most of the time was spent on colors as my furniture arrangement ended up being good. It took us some time to sort it all out but I have ended up with a color scheme I am thrilled with. Her ideas on which walls to accent while not overpowering were spot on yet one color will flow right into the next. Just like my rooms. I can picture it all in my mind and I can't wait to start. I would hire Vickie again as she was able to sort through the maze of rooms and left me with a home that will be balanced in color. A place we can relax and enjoy. Well worth the money.

Service never occurred. Never heard from vendor or Angie's list. Credit card was charged, end of story.

It went just fine. She gave us some good ideas and was very professional. The only thing that was strange was that she mentioned that she had "found this great place called West Elm and they have a store in Edina!" --- It sounded like she had never heard of them before, so we wondered how much design experience she actually had. I liked most of what she had to say, though.

Vicki arrived on time and asked which areas I wanted help with. She provided some ideas on how to rearrange and re-purpose some existing furniture for a better effect. We also discussed options for window treatments, wall colors and fabric colors and patterns. She brought in paint colors to look at after I asked if she had any with her. She did not have any fabric patterns or colors with her but she emailed me some photos the next day. Pleasant experience but not bursting with ideas or energy.

I have repairs that I need taken care of first.
