Jim is an exceptional professional. Arrived on time with all the necessary equipment. While discussing the job he questioned a big hole with a bolder in it, and I explained I was digging it out for q flower bed. Since he had a backhoe along for the job, he offered to try to extract the bolder for me at no charge. Way above and beyond what I wxpected an he saved me big bucks renting one myself.

Reasonable price and easy to talk to when looking for the solution etc

Superb! We called at 7:30 PM on a Thursday night and they arrived at 8:00 AM on Friday morning. They removed every leaf - did a great job.

Jim returned my call promptly and was willing to just consult for a fee. Apparently, he usually looks at the tree at his availability and leaves written report behind, but I insisted to be there to talk to him and he worked this out, too. We met just couple of days later. He was very professional, very knowledgeable and took his time to look at this and other trees on my property. He seems to be very excited about his job and cares about trees. I know some about trees myself and I've already spoken to another arborist (because I was not to just take mature tree down if not necessary) and Jim's advice was right in line with what I knew. He explained how he works and gave me written estimate. He didn't charge me for his visit and he didn't "badmouth" the other contractor (also of the Angie's list), he just said I got a very good price and I should take advantage of it.

I got 3 estimates; they were all in the same ballpark though Jim might have been the slightly highest bid. However, he was very attuned to what was best for the tree, not necessarily only what might be the most cosmetic for appearance of the tree. That lines up well with my goals, too - I like the natural approach and that is one of the main reasons I hired Jim to do the job. He was on time, worked all day in our yard, and did a very nice job with no mess for me to clean up afterwards. And the trimmed trees look very good. He said that this should be all that's needed for these trees for 3 years, so that is reassuring also.

They were very good. They got the job done very fast. They did everything including hauling away the debris and cleaning up after themselves.

He came to the property and gave me an estimate. We also walked the property and he answered questions that I had. As well as offering suggestions. The following Monday he came in with some remarkable equipment. Took down the tree piece by piece. Nothing was damaged and the tree was nicely arranged for removal. I purposefully did not have him remove the tree, so I could cut it up for firewood.
