In the summer of 2024, D S Construction replaced my old roof with a new roof. The project went very well from start to finish. The crew were efficient and professional and I am very happy with the appearance of the new roof. I look forward to working with this company on future projects.

Dave is an amazing roofer, honest and reliable and also less expensive than every other company I contacted. I did a lot of Internet digging before deciding to go with him and I was not disappointed. You hear so many horror stories about roofing companies and my experience with Dave and his crew was nothing short of perfection. My insurance was paying and I ended up needed a re-deck which we had not initially accounted for and Dave helped me immensely with the back and forth with the insurance company who tried to say that they did not need to pay for the re-deck. Dave insisted that they did and with his guidance I was able to get them to approve the extra funds. I also appreciated that instead of just putting my roof back on like it had been before he made sure everything was up to code and did not take any shortcuts. He shows up when he says he will and his communication is excellent. His team was professional and cleaned up well. They did forgot some lumber in my back yard and I went out of town for two months so I did not realize they had not come to get it, so when I came home I called Dave and he had someone come back and it was gone by the end of the week. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable, honest roofing company.

D.S. Bahr Construction was amazing. He came out to look at a small ceiling leak for us. He was prompt, explained what he thought happened, offered steps that I could take, and did not charge for his time or expertise. Really appreciated his time.

We are very happy with our new deck. The work was completed exactly as we were told without any surprises. We would definitely hire DS Bahr again in the future.

Several years ago, we hired D.S. Bahr Construction to shingle our house (built in 1891). They did an excellent job, so we reached out when we needed some porch support and repair. Dave came to our house within a couple of days, assessed the situation, shared options, and gave recommendations and a bid. His crew added a support post, replaced some rotting wood, and secured the door frame. The work was done quickly, and the repair work fits in completely with the porch style. We couldn't be happier.

We replaced the roof and siding on our detached garage, and had the service door replaced. David, the owner, came out and did the estimate and stayed in close touch with me throughout the project. His crew did an awesome job, even returning to finish the siding the day after a blizzard (they shoveled a path to the work area and cleared out around the garage). Everything looks terrific. Not only that, but their bid was the lowest of the five I got for the project.

The owner himself came and did the estimate. It was somewhat higher than the company we chose. The bid for the replacement of the flat roof section would probably have turned out quite low, as we found out. The owner did not inspect the flat roof section when he did his estimate. Also, the work would have been warrantied for only 5 years.

They indicated they could not provide any more bids this year (2020) due to lack of materials and COVID restrictions. They asked us to call next spring and request a quote if we had not found someone else to do the job.

They did a great job replacing my deck They worked hard, made sure the job was done well, and cleaned up great. Easy to work with.

Brilliant!!!!! Miles, Dave and Team of DS Bahr construction did everything they said they would do, when they said it would be done and at a super fair price. High quality workmanship, excellent materials and solid advise on how to approach this project. We had a few others bid the job, and not only did DS Bahr have the best price for comparable work, they steered us towards the right solution vs. going for upgrades and features we really did not need. Highly recommend these guys, our neighbors are calling them for similar projects now as well. Thank you DS Bahr Team for a job well done :-)

The project went well. Work was done in two days and cleanup was thorough. The roof looks great.

They exceeded our expectations as the deck is beautiful. Myles is passionate about building decks and provided wonderful recommendations on the final details. The team on sight was focused and detailed. I would highly recommend this team for any deck project.

Excellent. They were able to work around solar hot water panels that couldn't be removed. Workers were very conscientious, even driving over late one night to make sure a tarp they had installed was holding during a windy, rainy night. Also immediately repaired a few mishaps. Owner checked in on project to make sure it was progressing, very communicative. Couldn't recommend more.

EXCELLENT. This was a $40K re-do of a 20+ year old original-Trex deck plus an add-on Trex deck. (Project's time of year was March, 2020 - think conavirus-19 turmoil and MN March weather. Project management wise, all process steps were efficiently and effectively planned & executed: on-site materials delivery and trash dumpster came as planned, grounds preparation (crew safety, landscaping protection), post-job cleanup. Bahr's 3-person crew arrived every day before 8 am, "rain or shine." They were pleasant, respectful, amicable - i.e., very professional. Bottom Line: Bahr Construction exceeded expectations, and everyone - homeowners, Bahr's employees and David and Miles, the Bahr Construction management team - can be proud of this job. (BTW, the Scott county building inspector gave this project his FINAL permit approval and commented how very good everything looked.) Thanks, D.S Bahr Construction!

We had a fantastic experience with Dave and his crew. From the estimate to the last piece of siding, everything went smoothly! The entire experience was characterized by friendly, professional, and thorough communication, and meticulous, high quality, energetic work. Dave Bahr and his crew are awesome. We needed a 3 season porch tied to a wheelchair ramp. They took my initial design and improved it beyond my expectations. They kept me up to date on the schedule and the work started and ended when they said it would. Quality materials and craftsmanship. The wheelchair ramp was not trivial and Dave's team executed flawlessly. I was very impressed and we all enjoy the new porch. Thanks for a job well done!

My efforts to find someone to re-roof my house weren't going very well when a friend recommended DS Bahr, who she had used twice on two different houses. My duplex has four chimneys in an unusual configuration and every other company I talked to either said a costly on-site fabrication process would be necessary or simply shrugged. Dave Bahr was the most responsive, reassuring contractor I heard from. His bid was among the most reasonable. His crew was fast and professional. They tarped the perimeter of the house, cleaned up at the end of the day each day they were here and left my plantings and decks tidy. The new roof looks terrific! I'm very happy.

The boards on our 14x24' deck were rotting and the railing was unstable. We wanted new maintenance-free materials and a staircase added. The work went wonderfully. The work was done quickly and professionally and my concerns were addressed promptly. When a problem with a support post was noticed after the deck was complete, they came out and replaced the post the next day for a reasonable fee. We will be recommending DS Bahr to our friends.

Dave was very professional, courteous, and responsive. He came to the job site multiple times to speak with me and his crew, and he promptly let me know when changes were needed to the original contract/work order, i.e. discovered that due to the age of my house and Saint Paul roofing code changes, all of the decking needed to be replace. He had provided me with an estimate as to the maximum cost for replacing decking, and even though his costs exceeded that, he charged only the amount that he had quoted me. Also, when I noticed some damage to siding on the dormer, he & his crew promptly arranged to get the materials and fix the damage, with no additional charges. His crew was polite and courteous and did a good job of cleaning up the job site. I am very happy with my new roof and the high quality materials used.

Dave was very helpful giving us ideas and sketching the overall project. And Miles and his 3 man team did a fantastic job. They started and completed the project on time (2days). Our deck is about a foot at the ground and it’s 550sqft in size. We have lots of perennials around the deck. So the team was very good about being careful not to stump on them. They very professional and friendly. They did a nice job cleaning everything after they were done. Our new deck looks great!

They provided an estimated time for when they would be able to perform the work and they were actually able to get to our project a few weeks sooner. They workers were on time each day and cleaned up after themselves each day. The owner came each day and checked in with us and the workers. When we noticed a few things needed to be corrected they were there he next day. The price we paid was the price that was quoted to us. No hidden charges. We are very happy with the work that was done and we even hired this company to perform some carpentry projects we had.

Dave is the best! He said they were 4-6 weeks out. Factoring in 2 weeks of rain he was out in 5 wks. My roof is very steep with lots of peaks and valleys and needed new sheeting. They were done in 4 days and did a fantastic job. Not only was Dave's bid very fair, I forgot to mention the Angie discount. I offered to split it with him, but he said take it all. There was a mis-communication (on my end) regarding what a flat roof was. I said I would pay for additional material ($115) if he would pick up the labor. He said fine, and then he picked up the entire tab. What a guy! Over all one of the best experiences with a contractor I ever had.

Excellent company to deal with. They tore down my old deck and built a new one in one day. Very nice people to work with and they competed a very quality-made deck. I’m more than pleased and have already recommended Dave to several people. I know they will be as pleased as I am. Quality deck and a very fair price. I would highly recommend this company
