When they came out to give me the estimate, he was able to give me a quote right there on the spot, I didn't have to wait until he figured it out and mailed it to me a week later or whatever. Another thing that I really liked is when I told him what I wanted he listened to me and did exactly what I wanted. It took them about a week to complete the work. The final price was exactly what I was quoted in the beginning. It turned out very, very nice.

They were very responsive. They did good quality work. They did everything they said they would. They finished the job when they said they would, and they did a good job cleaning up.

We worked directly with the owner of the company. He came out and gave us an estimate and stayed with the initial bid. He was very professional and was easy to talk to and work with. We had a delay on our side and he was willing to work with us there and came back when we could have it done.

Very impressed with Dave's professionalism. It took longer to get the work done than we had hoped but Dave was proactive in communicating the reasons (material supply). In addition, we could clearly trust Dave in his initial assessment and options. While his quote was a tad higher than others, it wasn't by much and the trust we had with Dave was the deciding factor. He went as far as to tell us that our roof didn't have that much damage and we could hold off on doing it. He promptly answered all our questions along the way. I would recommend DS Bahr to anyone.

Company handled the process from start to finish very well. A detailed quote was provided. The project started about 2 months after the agreement was made. The time from demolition to completion of deck was about one week. The contractor handled all relationships with the city. The area was cleaned up well.

Dave has done good work for me before, so I knew I was going to use him for this work as long as his estimate was close to my insurance payout. I had only two problems. First, the crew didn't come back on Saturday to finish putting on my downspouts, which was a major concern to me with rain in the forecast (I have no sump or drain tile). Second, the installation of the downspouts didn't initially match what I had requested (I think this is because the crew wasn't quite as detail focused as they should have been). However, Dave's foreman responded quickly to my concerns and took care of everything on Monday. I am happy with the end result and I would use D.S. Bahr again for other jobs.

After a hail storm, I invited D S Bahr construction to bid on the project. Dave Bahr inspected the roof and prepared a bid. While I ultimately chose a different contractor because of their slightly lower price and more immediate availability, I as greatly impressed with Dave. He was punctual, professional and got down to business. He quickly prepared a very complete estimate very respectful of both his time and mine. He was also very forthright about this availability, not something I found in all the contractors I interviewed. While I didn t select Bahr for this project, I will definitely be considering them for future projects.

The work has not been done yet, but this is the company we chose out of the six estimates we received. We chose this company because we liked dealing with David, his estimate fell in the middle of those we received, and he had a good rep on Angie's List. We hired David to do the work on 09/05. At that time he told us it would likely happen in about 6 weeks, which was fine with us. We received a letter from David a couple of weeks after hiring him that jobs were being delayed a little due to a shortage in product availability. We appreciated this proactive stance on his part- it was nice to just know ahead of time that there would be a delay. Now, the work is scheduled to happen in two or three weeks, which is about two weeks behind the original schedule. We contacted him two different times with questions. One time he answered the phone immediately, and answered our questions on the spot. The other time we left a voicemail, and he responded to it the same day. He has been helpful and informative, and we have faith that the project will go smoothly based on our interactions with David thus far, and the professionalism he has already shown. Also, he offers a 5% discount, up to $500 for Angie's List customers.

Dave Bahr is very professional and punctual. When called, he calls right back. This is the second time we have used Dave's company. In both instances his bids have been lower than expected considering the quality of the materials used. We are very happy with our new siding.

They came on time, were professional and their estimate was in the ballpark with others. We ended up going with another option.

Dave was there when the insurance agent came out and did a great job in making sure all damages were noted. The storms in the area made for the final date being pushed back some, but once his crew came out the work was done quickly and very professionally. We are very happy with the final results. We recommended his company to two of our neighbors and D.S. Bahr is doing both of their roofs.

I still use them for small things and they are great. They are professional and they come out if something needs to be fixed. They are always on time. I would recommend them and continue to use them.

Everything was good, they were complete in what they wanted to do and they kept me informed with any schedule delays. He had it done pretty quick. He explained why we should go a different way or why I was getting a different thing than I expected, and explained to me why another option would work better for everyone. All the workers he had were great. I expressed questions about using legal workers and he provided me with satisfactory information and answers.

Amazing. Dave's crew was incredible. My yard is all garden, patio and paths with only a 3 foot wide area of lawn around the garden beds in the front yard. I didn't believe that this project could be done without major damage to my garden, but all I lost were a couple of stems on two plants! I couldn't believe it. Not only did they have to rip off all of the old shingles, but the underlayment too, and toss it down. Manuel and his crew were great; very friendly and skilled.

They did all of the work in less than one day. They were very professional. I had them come and look at some work and they came back to check it. They had done it correctly the first time but they checked anyway. Their price is very reasonable as well.

I left a message requesting a quote and Dave called back very quickly, and was able to come out the following week - I wasn't expecting anyone to get out to my place so soon as there had been several storms, and a lot of damage around the metro area, which was keeping contractors pretty busy. After I decided to hire this company, Dave was again prompt about coming out with roof color choices. He said due to all the other jobs, it would probably be a couple weeks before my roof could be done, which was fine. They were actually out a little sooner than that. The tear-off and new roof were all done in one day. The workers were still on the job when I got home that afternoon, and they were pleasant, businesslike, and cleaned up the debris before they left. Also, about a week or so after this was finished, I noticed a piece of trim on the north side of my house (I don't get to that side of the house very often, obviously). Dave checked on it the same day to make sure it wasn't from my roof, and called back to let me know that it was apparently from the neighbor's house. Overall, the project went very smoothly.

Dave was very responsive to my request for an estimate, easy to reach and work with. Made good on timeliness and promises. Work completed quicker than anticipated. Would recommend!

They were the third of three estimates I received. They came in at the lowest price and were the highest rated on Angie's List. It took about 3 weeks from estimate to job start-up. It went very well, took about 3 days from start to finish. They did a good job with the clean-up as it's quite a messy job.

I got Dave Bahr's name from Angie's list. He was prompt (early) for all appointments to estimate and sign contracts. He answers his calls promptly. His bid was lower (slightly in one case and significantly in another case) than other roofing contractors we contacted. His bid was VERY complete and detailed. His estimated time for scheduling the work was within a week, which we consider to be outstanding in the world of home construction, and during a busy storm repair season. As far as I can tell, all roofing crews are subcontracted. The men Bahr sent were good. Dave also came out to check on the job himself, and was readily available and responsive by cell phone. The roofers were hard working, conscientious, courteous and did not play the radio (unusual). Roof replacement is a messy job, and they were reasonably tidy, especially at final clean-up. Materials were delivered in a timely fashion and the dumpster was picked up promptly. I had asked for leaf screens on the new gutters, and this did not get detailed into the written estimate, but Dave sent a man back to install them within a day when I asked again. There were no surprises, and I would use D.S. Bahr again and recommend him readily.
