Dave was always in contact with me with cell phone calls and email. The roof was patched with the existing shingles. Came by on his way home at about 6:30 and got the job done before dark.

They were great. I would rate them high overall. I can look out of one of my window at the gutters and they look great. They called me head of time and they showed up on time so they were very punctual. I would use them again the future.

When it comes to roofing, Dave Bahr is the one that I trust. Almost every year, I've asked Dave to inspect the roof on our house and advise on whether it needed repairs or replacing -- and Dave has candidly and honestly advised each year that we could get by without major repairs or a new roof for another winter and spring. Even this year, although Dave noted that the roof was nearing the point where it should be replaced, Dave did not find it was absolutely necessary, but I thought it was time and wanted the better appearance. So we got a new roof this year. Dave Bahr's work is always professionally-done, with a solid warranty against any problems, and with the highest quality materials -- it may not be the cheapest (although the price is well within reasonableness), but it's the best. Everything went smoothly. And even afterward, Dave wasn't pleased with the look the flashing near one window, so even though it was doing the job just fine, he sent the crew back to add further flashing and tailor it to that area so that it looks better. Again, I would go back to Dave Bahr for anything involving roofing, decks, etc.

It went fine. It was a AL deal.

Dave arrived on the agreed upon date and 15 minutes early. After reviewing the roof and the problem area, Dave said that he saw where the roof was leaking, what the problem was, and said that he could fix it right away. Dave immediately repaired the problem area on the roof and said the charge would be $100.00. I was expecting the repair estimate to be much more when I originally called to set an appointment and I am very pleased with the work. Dave was prompt, professional and very reasonably priced. I did not get any other estimates for the job. I would certainly recommend Dave to others who need roof work completed.

Used The Big Deal service and felt that I got my moneys worth. Dave called in advace to say when he would be in the area and then sent an email the day of the service as well as leaving a written note at the house. He followed up promptly to my emailed questions about the maintenace that was done. He also suggested a repair that was not covered, but that I could do myself.

I think they have a special now. I would recommend him anytime. He’s one of the few people I’ve known who does his job really well. He’s a very good leader. His prices are reasonable. He’s always quick to respond. He’s very personable and very trustworthy. I would use him again in the future if need be.

They did a great job. They were prompt. They did very good bracing and it seemed like high quality workmanship. I liked their friendliness and flexibility.

This was a rather small job, but was very important to us. I'm 60 years old, and I was pushing my luck taking down the top of the chaise myself, and I didn't want to tempt fate any further. Dave's crew (3 of them) arrived on time and finished in one day. They cleaned up everything, including sweeping the deck, and hauled the debri away. You can't tell that a chimney was ever there; the roof matches perfectly.

This job was bid in November but we wanted to wait until spring to do it. David's bid was about 15% less than a prior bid from another contractor. I contacted David in March. He came to our house within a few days and we selected the color of shingles and reviewed the total project. He stayed with the original 3 month old quote. The work was scheduled to begin the following week. The first scheduled day was cancelled due to rain. The next 3 days went great and the job was finished. The crew worked hard and did a great job. They were responsive to my questions even when I pointed out something that had been forgotten. David was here to inspect the project several times. His crew pointed out that several places that did not have flashing should have it. New flashing was installed at no additional charge. We could not have asked for a better experience with a job like this.

It went fine. Choosing a company to use was the hardest part, but I think I made the right choice.

It went well. I wish I had done it sooner. We'll ask Dave to come back to install the footings.

The quote we received from DS Bahr was reasonable compared to the other two companies from which we received quotes. Dave Bahr seemed very knowledgeable about the nature of the work and was not simply a sales person. The work started almost exactly when he estimated (about 5 weeks out) and was finished on time as well. We received about 18 inches of snow in the middle of our project, which covered some of the completed work before we had a chance to inspect it. After the snow melted (two months later), we noticed a few minor fixes that needed to be done to the work. Dave and his workman were out that day to inspect the problem areas and the problem areas were fixed to our satisfaction the very next day. We would definitely use this company again.

Seamless. I called Dave when my insurance co. had estimated there was considerable hail damage on my roof. Dave was very helpful in getting the job done. The roof looks great and I would recommend this company to anyone!

Dave came out to do an estimate for a job and ended up doing it right then and there are my request. It was wonderful to have a skilled, knowledgeable person come and take care of it as he said it was such a small job it wouldn't have made sense to come back. I was dealing with my Mom's house and would have had to make a trip in from another town to meet him-- Shows professionalism and does competent work.

Great. The first thing that impressed me about Dave was that at the time he first looked at my roof he sat down in my kitchen and wrote out an estimate. From then on, Dave did exactly what he said he would, exactly when he said he would. I know my way around construction. My roof isn't easy. I inspected their work at every stage and it was was always good. Several other roofers wanted nothing to do with me, wouldn't even bid my job, and they are also highly rated at Angie's List. Dave never hesitated and he knew how to do the job right. Work was guaranteed. At one point some materials ended up costing more than expected. Dave just shrugged and said "its on me". Not only that, Dave bid my job in the fall, but the work started after the huge December snow fall. First thing his guys did was shovel two feet of snow off my big, low-pitched roof. Couldn't be happier. Would recommend them 100%. Only problem is too many other people know Dave.

It went really well from beginning to end. The experience was very satisfying and I am confident I would not hesitate to call them again.

Dave responded to my initial phone call promptly. I interviewed and got estimates from 5 different roofers. All estimates were approximately the same. The big difference was Dave. He was knowledgeable and professional. The roof replacement took place approximately 4-5 weeks later as expected. Materials arrived promptly as did the crew. The crew worked diligently and kept our yard clean each day. Dave arrived promptly for the final inspection and spent some time going over the job and providing my husband and I clear and complete information. I would use Dave and his team again for roofing or other exterior jobs. They were fabulous.

Always arrived on time. Very professional and explained things in terms we could understand. Workers were extremely polite and cleanup was spectacular.

They charged me about $8000 for the siding. I have used them more than two times. I trust them. They do a good job. They deliver what they promise. They are responsive. They treat my property with respect. They are competitive, price wise. They add value to the job. I first started with them couple of years ago when my daughter needed a roof. She and her husband asked me to consider some contractors. I then gave Bahr Construction a call along with 3 other contractors. I finally went with them and they did a good job. So I always include them in addition to a couple of other companies anytime I have got any type of work that falls in their area. They recognize me as a valuable customer because I had that experience with them and they also treat me as such. I would use their services in the future too.

GREAT JOB--GREAT PEOPLE! Due to financial changes in our household, Dave (the owner) came out at least three and perhaps four times over a period of five years providing bids, until we were able to do the project. He was always most gracious about the situation. When the time came to do the work, they were prompt as well polite and very clean--laying down tarps and removing their shoes whenever they needed to enter our home and cleaning up exceedingly well afterwards. We anticipated a couple surprises and when we had them, the foreman on the job was most clear about our options and costs, specifying everything in writing and making the necessary changes quickly without lengthening the project. It looks great and we're very happy campers. If/when we do any other project, we'll undoubtedly be calling them for a bid.

D.S. Bahr was one of three firms that were highly rated in Angie's List from whom I requested a bid for a new roof. Dave was prompt in arriving to give me the estimate and clearly was well-informed. He provided the estimate right away. I ended up with three very similar estimates and finally decided to select another firm, but feel that D.S. Bahr would have done a good job for me, too.

The entire crew was wonderful. Everything was done on time and perfectly. They are all experts at their jobs. I couldn't be happier.

Dave was very professional and was on time for appointments. Dave was very accommodating. I need him to remove the roof before the Insulators could do their job. He coordinated the schedule with the Insulator and his crew was there when he promised and the Insulator did their job. I found him to be very knowledgeable.
