Typically we do not go with just a low bidder, but based on the reviews we took a chance on an unknown provider. Was not disappointed. Timing was great from commitment to a finished product. Performance was "great" to "fantastic." Mike is not the typical "salesman" type - quiet and unassuming personality, but he and his team do a great job. Has over 15 years experience. Bottom line is we would use his services again now that he is a known commodity.

Mike was prompt in his response when called. Removed bad concrete all as agreed upon. Great clean up. Everything as we expected. Again, Mike responded promptly and as agreed upon when we requested him to do the actual replacement sidewalk. Mike was flexible when we asked for a curved edge instead of a square corner at the last minute. We were impressed that Mike handled everything from start to finish without any hassles for us. Very professional. We think the final job is beautiful. We are very happy with our purchase/service. We would use his company again.

I spoke with Mike from Templin. He showed up on time, evaluated, and provided the estimate. I called a few days later to request his service. The work started the following week. He showed up on-time and early, which I was impressed. I was home during the time of excavating, and It was surprisingly quiet. I peeked out at times to find him Working with skill and precision. The concrete had to be poured a few days later, and I was not home during this time, but was pleasantly surprised to see the beauty of the new concrete! Mike stopped by when I was home, and asked him about caring for the new addition, and found him to be a genuinely nice guy. I would not hesitate a moment to recommend Templin Concrete.

Met with Mike on Monday morning, Mike said he could do the work the next day. The crew showed up before 7:30 AM Tuesday to do the necessary excavation. The forms were set in place, ready to pour when the concrete arrived. The patio and the slab were poured and finished by mid afternoon. Mike came back the next afternoon to make the necessary saw cuts in the patio. Good clean up from the project. Friendly crew/helpful explained project layout/steps.

We hired this contractor after getting 3 bids for our large stamped concrete patio, sidewalk and retaining walls. The price included stump removal and grading. The company did not provide a written contract, everything was verbal or done via email. The business owner told us that he did not want any money down prior to the start of work and payment would be due upon completion.We had some small issues from the start. The owner excavated on our neighbors property after we had shown him where the property line was. He placed the retaining wall in the wrong spot according to our drawing and pre-discussed verbal plan, he forgot to put in the conduit for electrical work (to be done by a different contractor) and needed to re-do it after we called him about it. The big issue is the quality of the stamped concrete. There is major surface cracking, missing lines, hand drawn grout lines, discoloration of the concrete, rock pops and double stamped imprints. There is no texture to the stamp pattern. He also did not put an expansion joint along the foundation, although we did ask him to do that ahead of time to prevent damage to the patio and/or foundation in the future. He stamped on a very hot 90+ degree days with a small crew. We asked him to stop pouring before the project was complete because we were not happy with what was done so far. We asked him to tear it out and repour it. He came over that weekend and removed his equipment and leftover supplies. A week later he met with us in person and wanted to antique and seal a portion of the patio so we could see it finished. We told him that no amount of antqiuing and sealing could add lines where there are none, fix crooked lines or add texture where there was none. He left that day agreeing to come back and fix it. Another week went by and my husband finally called him to see when he was coming back out, and he stated that he now needed some money to continue. We were reluctant to pay anything at that point because we feared that he would take the money and not come back. 2 days later, he wrote an email terminating our contract stating that we had become difficult customers and we were happy to find another contractor to complete the work. He asked to be paid for work already done, including concrete for the patio. We did not feel we should pay for the concrete since it was done incorrectly. He has since filed a pre-lien notice on our property and also had 2 suppliers do the same. We have offered him some money, minus the cost to tear out the bad patio ($2000 to remove) but he has not accepted any sort of partial payment.
