"It didn't! 4 weeks before I was moving, I hired Handy to send a team of cleaners to my home on a specific day/time. I kept asking when will someone contact me to "accept" the job, and "what if" nobody accepts the job on your posting board? I was told not to worry that someone would "pick it up". So I didn't worry, I continued to work on my packing and the move. Then, 1 week before my move, I checked the site again. This time, not only did I see my job was not picked up yet, but there was a note on the site that said "sorry, cleaners not available, pick a different date/time." I was in a panic, and also furious that I didn't get a phone call or email letting me know that Handy was not able to find anyone who would drive to my city and accept the job, even though I was assured by the representatives on the phone when I called to ask the initial questions about Handy and how this works, what areas they go to, etc.. Had I not continued to check the site, I would not have had the weeks notice that I did. So back to the drawing board...I found my own cleaning crew "Stratton Cleaning" out of LaCrosse, Wi. They were excellent and it actually cost me a lot less than what Handy was charging. Since I had already paid Handy, I went on the site and asked for a refund. They quickly refunded my money in a CREDIT to use Handy again. Days later, still no money in the bank so I had to call and inquire which is when I found out it was in a credit form.
