Waste Management missed several pick ups over the 4 years that I was with the organization. Frequently they would leave garbage on the ground around my garbage cans. I recently cancelled my service due to the high prices. I recently found that there are other companies in my area that offer the same service for much cheaper. When I called to cancel the representative were very rude. After the dealing with the company's poor customer service, I am very happy to be done with this company. I also want to let people know that they need to be aware of many hidden fees this company likes to charge people.
Description of Work: The provider missed pickups and left a large mess when empty garbage cans. Company and its representatives are very difficult to work with.

We decided to move to a weekly recycling company. I called in August 2014 to cancel our service with Waste Management. I was told by Waste Management that I had been auto-enrolled in a yearly contract. I found out that when I signed a contract to stay with them for a year without a raise in rates that on the back was a notice that I would be auto-enrolled without further notification. I agreed to pay the cancellation charge and they said they would send an invoice with whatever balance I needed to pay to close my account. I contacted the City of Bloomington and they contacted Waste Management. WM indicated they would call me directly and resolve this issue. I received a letter from WM that I had to pay $69 to cancel my service. I paid this immediately. It took WM a month to remove bins. On November 4, I received an invoice saying that I had a past due balance of $103.66. I contacted their billing department (which ended up being their collections department) and after getting transferred around, dealt with a billing specialist that the invoice was in error and only owed $29.15 for September. Deciding that it was not worth arguing, I paid this immediately. On November 17, I received an email from Waste Management saying I had an invoice of $9.93 due on my account. I sent an email asking for information on this and received an email back saying that the invoice was in error and that I owed $69 as the cancellation charge but that I had paid the September service invoice. However, with the late charges, the new total was $84.44 to cancel my service. I wrote back with a copy of my cashed $69 check. On Nov 20 I was contacted by WM via phone. She explained that the $84.44 was actually my total for the month of September. I explained I had paid for the month of September and she explained that the email was incorrect. I asked what was the 29.15 for and was told it was in error and I should have paid 84.44. So I asked if they were deducting the 29.15 and she said no, because her computer said 84.44. So I read her the email that said I had paid my September charges plus I have never heard of one month of service being so much. I said this was fradulent and threatened to complain to the BBB and the attorney general. I was told to "go ahead" and she was "trying to help me" but I was making threats because I wouldn't pay $84.44, which she said was my September invoice. I asked to speak to the customer service supervisor and she said, "I am the supervisor." So I asked to speak to her boss and she said, "Why?" Eventually, her boss came on and said she was investigating. They called me back and said due to errors on their part, they would remove the charges that I owed them. I promise you that I would rather remove my own trash from now on rather than return to them.
Description of Work: Trash and recycling removal from 2005-2014
